Whatever you have to tell yourself. Clearly you are not here to find reviews, you are here to find people that agree with you and get angry when you find people who don't. Welcome to the internet.
"I don't care if you dont like Iron Blooded Orphans"....Oh boy, clearly you do though. Look I'm sorry I offended your orphans but this series is quite bad from a writing standpoint. Maybe if you narrow your mind down and only compare it to modern anime then you might be able to overlook the laundry list of shortcomings but if you're an honest reviewer of any media then you have to take an objective view. Objective does not = ignorant. It would be ignorant to overlook bat story telling elements simply because they provided an explanation. Example of a bad story telling element: uneducated kids that are somehow better at piloting complex military machinery than trained soldiers. Example of a bad justification of said story telling element: Alaya-Vijnana System.
"We've got a plot-hole guys, how do we explain these kids wrecking seasoned veterans?"
"Oh they just control mechs with their minds."
"But wouldn't the military use that technology too?"
"Oh uh, well it's just for kids because we say so..."
This bad story telling. Even if the Alaya-Vijnana System well and truly could only be installed on a growing body then the military would absolutely still be using and developing that technology and it would be the new standard in Mobile Suit piloting hands down. You're telling me that 300 years after the war that spawned this technology it isn't the standard in military and the only people using this super advanced technology are kids that are more or less used as slave labor? No I'm sorry but there isn't a universe where that makes any sense. The writers wanted the series to be about kids, they wanted the kids to possess a Gundam, and they wanted a simple explanation as to how these kids can do this and beat the antagonists easily so they can churn out another token Gundam series because they know it will make money.
Sorry if this offends you, which it obviously does, but the only ignorance here is justifying that this terrible series is good just because they explain some of the half-baked plot elements. If you don't understand what an objective, non-biased (pronounced "ignorance-free") review is then I invite you to do some research and maybe check out such things as Collider Jedi Council. Everyone on that show is a huge Star Wars fan, but that doesn't stop them from admitting where that franchise falls short and discussing these failures in-depth. You have to look at the strengths AND weaknesses equally. That's what makes a review worthwhile, in fact that's the whole point. Ignorance is overlooking something's failures because you're a fan of the series and can't see past that fact. There wouldn't be much of a point to having reviews on this site if all of them were positive reviews from fanboys.
