A Gundam and Gunpla fanatic, whose passion for both is as powerful as the winds of war. He is a parody of Ramba Ral, a character from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series.

Ral is a regular customer at the Iori Hobby Shop and seasoned Gunpla battler, whose fighting style focuses on guerrilla tactics. He acts as a valuable advisor for Sei and Reiji and is quite knowledgeable in Gunpla technology. Characters from the show continually turn to Ral whenever questions arise concerning Gunplas or the Gundam universe. He has taken a fancy to Iori Sei's mother, Rinko, is a fan of the Gunpla-sponsered pop idol, Kirara, and a long time friend of Master Chinan of the Gunpla Shingyo School.
Veteran Gundam fans and renown figures in the Gunpla scene recognize Ral's power and address him as "Lieutenant Ral” or “The Blue Giant.” His fame even reaches out to criminals and has a rehabilitating power. While he has an optimistic persona, a shadow of mystery also shrouds much of his background, as he is acquainted with figures from the Gunpla mafia.

Seven years after the seventh Gunpla Battle Championship World Tournament, Ral accepted an offer to become a coach for Seiho Academy's Gunpla Battle Club. Once the club established Team Try Fighters, they trained for the Gunpla Japanese Under-19 Championships under Ral's passionate training.
Ral has only lost five times in his gunpla battle career, the latest being against Yuuma's Lightning Gundam. His hemorrhages peak whenever a character's love life progresses and recently, the hemorrhages have been specifically sensitive to the relationship between Kamiki Sekai and Hoshino Fumina. He is very interested in how it'll turn out.
