This book has got me completely captivated in its world and story. The magic system and characters are pretty unique and fit well with the setting of the book.
The first volume's writing is definitely what is holding the series back. Especially in the 2nd half of the book, scenes are hard to visualize and character's actions are not consistent.
After finishing the second and third novel however, the content makes me eager to read the next volume. The issues with the writing have been resolved and the plot has diverged completely from your average Magic/Mecha story. The story in book 2 and 3 had me
