I just cant explain it, because I went through the same thing on both characters sides.. it's a terrible thing to go through and battle with at the same time. Please just watch it, A SILENT VOICE is a masterpiece..

I've never to this day have seen a movie, perfectly reflect on the things that I went through in my life until now. ALL of the characters are flawless. The story is flawless, pacing is flawless, and above all else. the character development. Is Flawless.. Please, watch this movie and don't compare it to anything, treat it as its own story and you reflect upon ... it. And once you've watched it, your view on life is going to change drastically, that's how serious this movie is.

(THIS MESSAGE IS DIRECTED TO THE NO RECCOMENDERS), If you seriously somehow found a reason to not like this movie, then you must've been one of those bystanders at the end of the movie. Because you most likely went through none of what Shouko or Shoya experienced.

This is coming from a 2023 view from a perspective of a guy who doesn't watch romances at all, and I got to say this anime is BEAUTIFUL, lovely, and heartwarming. Hundred made me go as far enough as to re-watch the whole thing again and replay the ending of it, just for how amazing it was that it lives rent free in my head now, But now is the time to give ratings on each part of this series!

Story:
So I'll keep it a buck, the story is good, but not legendary ... status or anything, It has a good pace for 12 episodes and it never falls off or gets boring, there is always something happening that will give you a reaction! And to me, that's a big thumbs up compared to sitting for 8 hours watching Naruto fillers just to get to know the characters better!

Action:
Honestly, for the amount that it had, it was REALLY good to see shounen characters doing shounen things! Especially with the girls too, you're gonna love that I bet, because I sure did lol. But in all serious, if you like your protag having BADASS moments then you're gonna love this!

Art:
Look anything that is better than the seven deadly sins is a 10 on my board, and hundred definitely deserves it, everyone looks crisp and clean and hot ASF. Plus it gave me no headache when I was watching it so that's a big plus.

Music:
OOOOO MMYYYYY GOOOOOOOOOD THAT CHORUUUSSSSS please just listen to it and how catchy the ending song is too. I'm still so mad its not on spotify anymore... Anyways a lot of the music in this show is just incredible, it keeps tensions up or mesh well with the moment. It. NEVER. falls off.

Charactrer's:
Literally do not see a flaw out of any character in this show. There are 3 main characters that I will mention since that is where the triangle is formed. But in general, I loved every single one of them due to each characteristic that differed them from each other. Be aware just because I mention these characters doesn't mean that the rest are irrelevant, there are a lot more that I'm sure you'll love and who also infiltrate the love triangle!

Kisaragi Hayato: Hayato had a rough time as a kid man.. the whole city was burning where he lived and one of his friends literally died in their hands.. OR DID SHE? but anyways this guy is a BADASS, cares for everyone and dense as all hell. You'll love him as the story goes on. He's a player even when he doesn't mean to be one :).

Emile/Emilia: This absolute BEAUTY has it all, Emile looks like the average romance character but trust me, they are A LOT MORE than you think. Emile is everything you'd wish to have, Hayato is so damn lucky to be having this person around them.

Claire:
Hohoooooo man CLAIRE my lady, she may be shy and tough at showing her feelings, but DAMN SHES HOT and adorable. Now look many people have a problem about her Pronunciation, but lets be real, the voice actors are not affiliated with European names. Yet that doesn't change the character! you'll love the balance she gives in this show.

overall, this show genuinely deserves a 10/10 due to how great it is for people who don't watch romances usually. It hooked me in very well from the beginning and gave an incredible ending. I seriously don't get how many people hate this show for whatever reason. Its well balanced for how many episodes it provides and never fails to surprise you. Hope you enjoy and have the same reactions as I did! Because this show, is truly beautiful, and captivating!
