The main thing I find similar between these two is the tone, and color palette. The two shows share a similar atmosphere and style of music. Combine this with a strong emphasis on action and comedy I suspect liking one will correlate well with liking the other. Tokyo Majin however leans more to horror and an ensemble cast, in contrast to Hitori no Shita which focus more on a single protagonist and his progression. Other commonalities involve mystery around the main characters (possibly a birth secret?); exploration of similar themes using similar devices.
