"If you tremble at each step, how do you wanna walk?" - This question deals with the main girls problems in both animes: Kimi ni Todoke and Hitohira share two big similitaries: First, the female main character is so adoring (her personality), you'd love to help her with all her problems. Second, both girls have got problems, either to find friends or too really be open and live life. Kimi ni Todoke, Sawako (Sadako) is just too shy to find friends, as well because she always was sort of "bullied" cause of her name and her "weird" charisma. In Hitohira, the girl is too shy to speak (in front of others) and to put through her opinion and feelings. (By the way, Kimi ni Todoke deals more with romance, and is - personally - the better anime) Both girls start to change positiv as time progresses and have to overcome their own "borders".

In both animes, the female (main protoganist) has a very strong personality, insisting to achieve her personal aims, heartwarming, not the typical disturbing high-school girl; more the thoughtful person. The two main characters as well share their two bishounen-surrounders, with whom she experiences a lot of 'adventures' - also romantice situations, though these are unfortunately just hinted. Both Females own some sort of magical power, though one is more physical and the other rather psychic. For short: Both animes, just like the characters have got quite the same feeling and share lots of simlitaries and share quite the same genres (comedy, adventure, fantasy).

I must say, that for me - personaly - the greatest similarity is one thing : I really was touched. The Endings are amazing. It gives you a very strange feeling, that nearly wants to make you cry. Both Stories are drawn from the same person (Yumeka, Sumomo), that why I guess the touch is so euqal. Both deal with romance, but in a very special way. These two stories are so loving, even though one hast to considerate how short they are. But I find this just gives them even more, this unique, deep and touching feeling that flows right into you, as soon as you've read the last word.

The animes both deal with romance and the caused problems. Though there're not quite the same of the content, the way of telling the relationships between the people is similar, you could say that's the biggest commonness: Both tell the story of a group of people, somehow all together related, and somehow not. Each person deals with his own problems, feelings, triangle-relationships and future and both are very good romance animes. One main difference is, that in Honey and Clover you're more into the boys side, in Kimi-Kiss on the girls. If you like a story, with a whole bunch of people dealing with love and life, I think you'll find interest in both of them.

I'm sure, that there are far better recommendations for Kakeru Shoujo, but still, Ef does share some similar appearances. Both Animes, have got a very deep touch that moves one very easily (at least I found both very unique and maybe even a bit "philosophical" in their own way), and perhaps even lets one or two tears shed. Ef has got a more intensive romance aspect, then Kakeru Shoujo, but somehow they both explain how precious time and life is. Ef gives a feeling like "I'm so happy, that I'm fine." (applied on the amnesia), where as Kakeru Shoujo more shouts for "I wish I could time travel!", though even that one would question after watching the movie. Of course Art and music is nothing to compare, but both Animes are superior in that aspect. To be honest, there's not so much they do share, especially in the storyline. But definitely they've got that special and unique feeling one searches for in each anime.

Louise and Taiga don't just share the same voice actor, which wasn't chosen without reason. The voice suits their enthusiasm and powerful character. Both girls treat they (boy) pal as servants and play with them, as if they were dogs. But in both animes, the relationship starts to grow and the girl realizes that she starts to get to like her servant. Though Zero no Tsukaima has got more "ecchi" in it - but not in a extreme art - , and deal with two total different siuations (and in Toradora the boy is more likeable) they both run out the same :)

Both Anime deal with the "adventure" type, as well with some fight scenes (though TC is cooler). The Story is quite different, but both main boys want to protect the girl. Just in TC he tries to collect the memory feathers for Sakura and so the group always lands in various places. In Elemental Gelade the main goal is only to protect the girl and bring her to that "Garden" Place (as well they cross various places). As well, both deal with romance, though in Elemental Gelade its more "intensiv". Personally TC is far, far better, but if one likes adventure, action, fantasy and a bit of romance one will like both animes.

Both Animes start quite slow, and carry on calm and relaxing, but have got a very deep meaning about them. As well, both have got a theme you could call "talk about philosophical life and meanings". A bit exaggerated, but they still definitely have got a special meaning. The Ending is quite open too, nothing really ever happens particular, but still both have got that little, special sparkle, that's rare to find in an anime.

Theres somehow the same feeling about these two animes. Aswell the main boy looks quite the same, acts and thinks the same (just the two main girls are slitly different) And also the relationship between boy and girl in Kannagi goes a bit in the direction of Zero no Tsukaima, though Zero noTsukaima has got more romance (I would have wished for a bigger develepmont in Kannagi^^) and is fantasy. Both animes also contain a lot of comedy.
