Both are Mahou Shoujo classics which focus on friendship and daily lives of the main characters while keeping their identities as magical girls hidden. In both series the main characters are kind of opposites of eachother (Sakura & Tomoyo and Nagisa & Honoka). The episodic formats are also similar. In both series something (cards and the Dark Zone) cause trouble which the main characters have to fight against. There's also a collecting aspect in both series with cards and Prism Stones.

Both series are set in a fantasy world where humans are almost extinct because monsters use them as their food. We follow our main character(s) as they try avoid being eaten by monsters.

Both are episodic series about a man traveling in historical Japan. Though Dororo is a battle Shounen about man slaying demons and Mushishi is about a man learning about creatures called "Mushi" they really give me same vibe especially with their artstyle.

I'm referring to the Endless Eight arc of Haruhi on this recommendation. Both have their main character stuck in an endless loop where they have to figure out how to get out of it. They both have repeated scenes too (Haruhi doing it way more than The Tatami Galaxy) that gives you the deja-vu feeling.

Both are comfy cute girls doing cute things anime about a certain activity. Camping for Yuru Camp and sciences for Koisuru Asteroid. These activities are done in the school club or in the characters free time. Also Mira's and Ao's personalities remind me of Nadeshiko and Rin.
