I went into this anime not expecting much...however it managed to subvert my expectations. Not only does it breath a bit of fresh air into the tired isekai genre, it gives a unique twist on the reincarnated into an otome game branch of isekai that has been prevalent for several years now.
While is does hold onto the basics of certain tropes, there are slight spins on some of them that keeps it from becoming another predictable series that you only pay half attention to at best.

Now that isn't to say it is witout it's flaws. It ticks pretty much every trope for the ... type of series it is and yes there the predictable formulas are still there in part, but it's enjoyable enough due to the way it's twisted and changed some of the tropes and formulas that you overlook all the flaws.

Overall it's well put together, even if the story is a bit lacking at times, and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the comedy isekai, fantasy, and/or visual novel generes. If you are a fan of the more action heavy isekais, this may not be for you, but I'd recommend it all the same. I'm hoping it gets another season so and can flesh out a bit more of the world and characters. If nothing else it's made me want to read the source material.

What's is there to say about this? It's a lighthearted romp when you just want something to watch that allows you to turn your brain off. It's as mid as mid can be in every possible way. It's not good or bad, it just is. It borrows story beats and ideas from several other fantasy isekais which is the norm. If you like isekai's and fantasy with a bit of the old harem charm thrown in you might enjoy it for what it is. Unless you want something that is also action heavy then this is not for you.

Credit where it's due, ... it does have some interesting takes on how magic can be used and since it isn't very action heavy, the way the I'm an OP Magic user trope is not done in the typical fashion. Other than that it's lacking anything that would make it stand up in any good way.

If you just want something that's relaxing to watch and are a fan of the genre, give it a whirl, you may enjoy it.

Ok first things first. If you are looking for high quality anything...it's not this. This is a Guilty Pleasure at it's finest! It is just a goofy good time and that's it. This series knows what it is and leans into it full force. It's a hot mess, but in a good way...or in a neutral way for some. It's basically a Popcorn ecchi.

Having said that as someone who loves both ecchi and fantasy.....it was fine.....and that's how I rated it. Truthfully it's pretty average across the board. I bumped it up to a 6 because I did enjoy watching it ... the whole way through, even if it was a bit repetative. My biggest issue is the wasted potential. This premise is interesting enough, but nothing was really fleshed out at all. The story felt extremely rushed and very little was explained in the way of character building and background information. The typical tropes both story and character are present so nothing really new there. The animation is good for what it is despite what some say. As someone who grew up in 80's I know bad animation and this isn't bad. Granted it's not great, but for what you are watching, it's fine so some of you need to get off your high horses.

Bottom line if you like goofy ecchi fantasies and aren't bothered by all the main female characters being horny for an animal you'll likely enjoy this for the Popcorn Anime it is or at least want to finish it. Otherwise avoid it.
