Spoiler warning:
While I do think the ending is awful, I don't support asking Isayama to explain it. I'm not sure that would help much.
If he wants to say why the series ended this way without pestering that would be ok, not sure if I'll read it because there are only 24 hours in a day.
I'd only watch Titan spin-offs or a sequel as B-movies if at all based on what Isayama has done here.
Guess Levi's disapproval of Eren as savior was the biggest foreshadowing in the series. Haha.
Narrative Causality goes out the window. Characters pull a 360 degree turn on their stated opinion about
...
stopping Villain Lunatic Eren. It's just unrealistic and it gets worse:
The ending of AoT is like a parody of the shonen genre and it's bringing back deja vu of a rumor Kodansha's others series such as Shaman King ended badly. I'm not sure who published AoT, can't cross reference. Just talking about AoT: I don't recommend it.
Whether it was rushing or Arc Fatigue when they left Paradis Island to focus on Marley in other words a new character group of which the only interesting characters are Porco and Pieck, maybe Glasses Guy and yet not for how anticlimactic his future defeat while down was to the point of parody tier more of a Disgaea Midboss moment, in my opinion at around chapter 100 idk oof, I wasn't pleased to read the series because I would've liked to see Armin or Mikasa planning what to do about the problem of distant enemies... Hm, guess there's a problem of not getting to hear the characters themselves theorize, but that would not have mattered if chapter 139 continued to exist as is because Eren as puppet suddenly made everything excusable or the characters suddenly turned schizophrenic.
Eren didn't save the other characters at all, he most likely continued the cycle of nations attacking Paradis Island when they can build up their forces enough.
Founder Titan Ymir's role in AoT makes about as much sense as Bran's role in GoT.
The series ends as if due to cancellation or otherwise abruptly and yet the viewer is supposed to believe this is how the series ends.
Is there less land mass so the Rumbling didn't have to travel very far? Titans are suddenly immune to cooling down because of water? Solar power too stronk.
Decided to write this review out of fan disappointment/dismay.
If you liked the ending and it didn't ruin AoT for you, then whatever. Agree to disagree. End rambling.
