An underrated masterpiece, truly a wonderful discovery. You shouldn't drop off because of the weird art, because you will be missing so interesting thoughts and perspectives about justice, right and evil, blame, sorrow, madness, loneliness, sadness, and pain, to name a few. Each backstory brings a new light to the story.
It is definitely targeting a mature audience (not so much about violence but about questioning our current society). After reading it, I don't see previously incarcerated people the same way.
This is not a webtoon just to read, but to also question oneself.
- aren't we as individuals too fast to blame a "presumed murderer"?

I really enjoyed watching the anime! I draw as a hobby from time to time, though I never got serious about it, so I really enjoy an anime about art. All the thoughts around art ring true in my ear. I also like how the MC thinks, I personally find it very relatable. His personal thoughts are pretty mature for a high schooler, which is more realistic than a typical shonen hero. This show is deeper than many current anime; for example, it highlights the debate between talent & hard work.
12 episodes are very short, the whole season is very fast and easy to watch. ... |
