I'm not sure why MAL didn't tag this also as harem, but it probably deserves that tag too.

So I guess I'll start off with the part that I enjoyed the most from this anime, and it was the art style. Since I'm not an art person, I'm not sure if I'm even using that terminology correctly, but I liked the character designs and how everything else is drawn in general and that was the biggest reason I kept watching.

The OST was good, there's one track off the top of my head that I really like, but in general while watching I never thought to myself ...

I really liked the premise of the show which is that they all attend a mercenary high school. I'm not sure why that appealed to me so much, but I think it's a great backdrop for an anime.

Going into the anime, I didn't take it too seriously; after all, I had read the MAL summary. With a story like that, it shouldn't be taken too seriously. That's probably why I got such great enjoyment out of the entire show. It did stray a bit from the original premise of a mercenary high school towards the end, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment.

Up through the first major arc, the story was alright, made sense, but during the second major arc, the story started making less and less sense. I can put my disbelief on hold to an extent, but you'd have to really be able to do it to buy all the things they try to tell you. Also, I don't buy the ending, not just because of the obvious thing if you've watched it, though that is one of the reasons. I could go into a long rant about it but this isn't the place for it.

It does keep you in the dark a lot and that can get irritating, but that's part of what keeps you hooked. To some it is predictable, but I don't find that to be an issue, what's great about the series is they do it in a new way.

Looks fantastic besides a few blotches here and there due to the studio not managing their time very well, but as far as I'm aware, they did fix those issues in the BD/DVD releases.

Hiroyuki Sawano did a great job with the soundtrack on this anime. Some people like his other works better, but that ...
