Same author. Same detailed and realistic artstyle. Both feature of lots of over the top violence and death and feature overpowered characters.

Both are very good thriller that are very well paced. Monster is also heavily inspired by many Tezukas works, including Message to Adolf. Both of them also take place in Europe and touch on themes of being Japanese in those Countries.

Both take place in very surreal worlds. Both are also up to the viewers interpretation mostly. Also both are very surreal and have amazing art

Same mangaka and art style. Both look very sketchy but still both contain extreme detail. Both protagonists have go lucky attitudes despite constantly being in very violent and difficult situations. These attitudes tend to also get both of them in lots of trouble. The comedy in both series is also pretty similar.
