It's quite interesting how similar Magi and Hunter are. Magi's characterization is on par with Hunter's; well designed and well developed characters who have great character development, personality's, and interaction with the other characters. Aladdin alone reminds me of Gon from Hunter. There are also some aspects of the world building that are similar with both of them being in a fantasy setting. As for the arcs, Magi and Hunter both offer something different for each arc while still progressing the story forward. Interesting to note that there are moments in both series where it focuses on other characters besides the main character or main cast. Both Magi and Hunter are surprisingly dark despite their initial appearances. They are both slow to start off but once they hit a certain point, things progress smoothly. Magi and Hunter aren't afraid to show brutal deaths and violence. They also both tackle real World Problems, Politics, and the Psyche of others. There are things in both of them that put them apart from the typical Shonen series and almost make them borderline Seinen.

Even though the demographic is Shonen, Shingeki feels like a Seinen. Both Gantz and Shingeki share Psychological topics and violent gore aspects. Characters are killed left and right and there's a struggle and feeling of hopelessness in both worlds from all the chaotic events taking place. There's also alot of mystery to both worlds including the enemies they both fight. In the case of Gantz, no one knows what Gantz truly is or why these creatures are attacking them. For Shingeki no one knows what the titans are or where they came from, how they are made, how they function, or why they are attacking humans.

Terra Formars

It has alot of similarities to gantz. The team's in both mangas get scifi weaponry and abilities to fight the enemies. Gantz is mysterious and random with the alien enemies while the Terraformar cockroaches are the primary enemies but with hints at mysterious origins. There is alot of gore in both mangas, alot of people are killed off, and the enemies try to adapt and overpower the humans as much as possible. In some aspects the artstyle feels similiar as well.

- Both are Seinen - Very detailed artstyles - Huge amounts of violence, gore, and sexual content - Both have nightmare fuel incarnate creatures (Aliens and Apostles) The enemies get stronger and more insane as each chapter progresses in both manga's - No one is safe in both worlds - Both manga's have the main protagonist and others battling the unknown and trying to win even when they are pushed to the limit - Both manga series have had long runs - Well written and well designed characters
