I've been getting into romcom's recently and I can say dress up darling is pretty good. There is fan service, but its in relatively realistic scenarios and not just randomly plotted in, which is good. Alongside which, characters are relatively relatable, with the anime mainly focusing on the 'comedy' and there is nothing wrong with that. 11/10. That's all I can say. I can say with confidence and pride that this is my favorite light novel, like the writing is splendid, the story is so wholesome, and overall its just a really good light novel. There are so many little details in the light novel that they bring up later into the story, and it really deepens the bond between the MC and the FMC. However it isn't really their fault as they had only 12 episodes to work with.
For the people that are saying 'Yea but the anime is so unrealistic, like what are the chances that the MC's neighbor is the angel from school and blah blah blah...' I don't understand these people. Literally ... Dec 31, 2023

Look, so SAO got a lot of hate but I thought it wasn't that bad. Although they strayed from the story and also rushed the ending imo. However SAO II is an another level of straying from the story.
Personally, the main reason why I watch SAO is to see the relavance of the 'Virtual World' and the 'Real World'. SAO Did a great job, -or at least it did in the first few episodes- of conveying the message 'If you die in the Virtual World, you die in the real world.' SAO II Had roughly had the same vibe with Death Gun, but then ... |
