Pretty bland and lackluster writing. Art style is whatever but I've never dropped any anime because of it. I want a good deep story and this anime simply doesn't deliver. Much of the dialogue and narrative is on the elementary school level. Comedic moments did make me laugh multiple times and some episodes were entertaining but I mostly had to suffer through as much as possible to finish this and get to highly rated After Story.
The main reason I started this is I wanted to see a fun romance and MC's development and by episode 20 I figured out where things were going with

One of the worst romances I've ever watched.
Decent animation, music and dialogue between friends. I like the nerdy references to movies/tv shows/games. As for the romance, it's painful and it will make you watch the anime at 2x speed. At first, I feel sorry for MC because girls pull him around but by the end, I realize that he is a brainrotten idiot who deserves it all. He is a literal doormat who doesn't know what to do with his "feelings". The whole romantic story is awful. It hooks you up and slowly develops, even though it's toxic how two sisters fight over a guy, you ... Sep 24, 2024
This is a pure masterpiece. I didn't expect much since I went in blind and seeing low quality animations compared to today's standard did throw me off a bit however I'm glad I stuck through.
The first thing you'll notice is that this is a slow burn so using the standard rule of judging it by the first 3 episodes won't work. It took me 12-13 eps to start getting invested into the story. All characters are unique and extremely well written. Are they likeable? Most are (Yasu is a legend). Unfortunately, pink Nana (Hachiko) isn't. You will dislike her by the ep 15 and you will ... Really nice blend of harem, excellent comedy and solid story. The characters are an obvious copy of TQQ anime for the most part but that's the only similarity. In my opinion it's much better than TQQ because everyone is of legal age so there are a lot of adult jokes, also much more fan service than TQQ. It's set outside of school so not having to see the regular high school tropes is a breath of fresh air. Animations are top notch and so it the music. Also, all of the main cast is really likeable so it's hard to pick a favorite which is

I can't believe people are recommending this anime to Chainsaw Man fans, it's not even close lol. This is an absolute snoozefest. Incredibly beautiful environments, worlds and character design but incredibly average story. This anime tries to be mysterious and unpredictable and it does it well (in the beginning). But usually, you end up getting your questions answered by the end... well not in this one... It's just a bunch of random plot points stitched together. I have never read the manga, but it seems like anime skipped a lot of it. The characters spawn in random places and do random things with no explanation.

An absolute masterpiece! If you are a fan of time loop type of anime like Steins Gate or Re Zero, or want to see complex and fun fights that remind you of JoJo, you will love this. The music is next level, animations are superb and all of the main/supporting cast is really likable. Also it's a finished story, so you don't need to worry about cliffhangers and waiting for another season. Things do start slow and ramp up as the time goes so don't drop this half way through by thinking it's dragging on and that it should have been 12 eps. All of

32 episodes later, just to realize that only half of the manga has been adapted. Well that's on me for not doing the research. Overall, season 1 is great, it's a good 8/10 with nice buildup and comedy. Season 2 starts great for the first 6 episodes and then nosedives to 3/10 in the last 6 episodes. I mean, who thought it would be a good idea to dedicate one of the last episodes to one of the girls losing weight and her frustration?
Anime hasn't been touched since 2015 so who knows if season 3 will ever arrive. You will be disappointed if you expected ... Jul 24, 2024

DO NOT waste your time on this. I thought people were exaggerating with 1/10 scores. But after 338 chapters, I cannot recommend this to anyone in the current state. Just wait a couple of years and binge it all once it's finished. You thought anime and the first sub 100 chapters were stretched out? Wait until you hit 200+ or 300+. I have never seen a manga or anime with more cliffhangers. The latest event that takes place for a couple of hours (in their world) is stretched out for 10+ chapters and 2+ months of wait time (in our time). I'm someone who just

If you are strictly "anime only" enjoyer, you will be disappointed, because this ends with a massive cliffhanger. No idea why most of the reviews don't mention this, could have saved me time. I really enjoyed the first 10 episodes, but the last 2 flush it down the drain.
I'm continuing with manga now but as for the anime, the last 2 episodes left a bad taste in my mouth since I expected a cute 1 on 1 romcom. Such a beautiful buildup, just to get ruined in the end. Obviously, I can't predict the future events since I haven't caught up with the manga, ... |
