I don't like this show, I don't love this show, I absolutely ADORE this show.
This show is like a sweet person in your life that you want to see succeed. I love its wonky unique CGI, I love how all the characters act whimsical and don't take themselves too seriously, and I love how the themes in the show are very noble and hopeful.
I love the dynamic of the main duo cast. How Alice flirts up close with the Duke even though he can kill her if he touches her is an element to the show that is both suspenseful and sweet at the
...
same time. The show is like going on an animatronic ride at Disney land: Yeah, it may be a little scary and have a dark story, but the whole time you have characters singing, cheerful characters reminding you to be happy, and scenery that keeps you coming back every episode.
This show is probably the most pleasant anime I have ever seen. And it had a GREAT ending. All wrapped up in 3 seasons, just the perfect amount of time.
Some people get turned off by the visuals, but I can tell you that this is the studio that did High Score Girl and that the visuals were INTENTIONAL. The way they move their limbs and that iconic head style make this an anime that just sticks out in my mind.
Every character in this show is special, whimsical, full of development, and a lot of fun to be around. Highly Recommended.

This anime is delightful and a treat to get through. But I wish it was more.
First, let's talk about what it has:
story: The story is fine. It isn't amazing. It's just a space adventure with 2 dudes from 2 different situations. Think of it as a movie such as Planes, Trains, and Automobiles but in space, and the 2 characters generally get along.
Art: pretty basic stuff here. nothing amazing, Robi's design is very cute. They really do the show justice by giving each world their own art style that reflects on the tourist gimmick.
Sound:... sound? I forgot there was any sound to begin with... I
...
guess that's pretty much my summary for that.
characters: Okay, here we go, here's where the enjoyment is.
Robi: Has a great personality and his look reminds me of a middle-aged rock and roll Japanese man.
Hachi: Is a very optimistic man who just wants to go and explore the universe. This really sets the tone for the series.
Obsessed deranged maniac that's after robi(?): VERY AMUSING CHARACTER. At first I thought he was kind of annoying. But as the show went on this character became very funny.
Enjoyment: Well? I wish it was like bebop. I really wanted a huge space adventure ark with these characters. But that wouldn't have worked because the humor is in a lot of the wrong places.
For instance, in bebop: sure there was a funny lobster in the fridge section, but at the end of the day spike has to deal with his demons. Sure, there was a section where ed did mushrooms, but it also had a backstory for Fei that was tear-jerking.
This anime is obviously not that and I kind of wish it was. The characters and settings are so perfect for a great space opera adventure-But it misses the mark by making it a humor based anime that panders towards a typical anime audience.
My favorite joke was at the very end of the series-and that's all i'll spoil about that.
Overall, it was a decent show to watch. Good to pass the time. Do I recommend? Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

I am so very disappointed by this show.
The first episode was decent, the animation is great, and the main character was very cute.
But that's where all the pros end. everything else is very very bad.
AND BORING
I was expecting some big epic plot to happen but all they did was look for some book while not accomplishing much of anything.
...
They don't take their subplots anywhere
They didn't make the main character and her "stand" interesting enough.
The colors make you want to fall asleep.
The universe isn't properly explored.
IT DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE.
Avoid this anime at all costs. I thought it was going to be a great show like ergo proxy; boy was I wrong. Watch Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin instead, you'll get a lot more from it.
This youtube video pretty much sums up how I felt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_vYTWmab18

It's a really cute show, but honestly, if you've seen stuff like dragon-maid, you're not missing out on much.
IMO it suffers from a dry spell during the last half of the show. Yeah, they try to spice it up by adding more fox girl deities-But the main one(senko) was so compelling as a character that the other 2 didn't hold a candle to her in terms of being a generally great character.
Here's the thing, I don't care much for asmr. However, There were a couple points in this show where Senko started nurturing the protag and I could actually feel it! For instance, it felt
...
warm and comforting to see her clean out the protag's ears. The anime really takes a break at these sections and makes sure that you are feeling exactly what the main character is feeling.
Senko-san as a character was perfect. Usually 800 year old lolis or cute girls suffer from still acting young. It makes no sense when that happens. Fresh examples include: the elf girl from goblin slayer and the war goddess from Gate.
However, in this case, she acts exactly how an 800 year old would act: Old, mature, and caring of younger people. You can see it when she cooks, cleans, and just has a general conversation with the main character. I was very impressed by this. One example of another anime that did this was Spice and Wolf. Holo acted wise and didn't let her emotions get the best of her because she was past all that.
art: is very very cute, main character suffers from typical black haired japanese guy syndrome. but overall it was pretty to look at.
sound: was very pokey and energetic, but nothing amazing.
characters: I'd say senko-san steals the show. Everybody else compared to her wasn't that impressive.
enjoyment: it was good for the first half, but after that i felt like i've already seen everything. this show would have not suffered if it had lasted for 6 episodes.
watch this if you're into fox girls, asmr, and you don't mind a bland protagonist. Heck, if you want, the first couple of episodes will do you just fine. It's just not worth sitting through to the end. Nothing amazing really gets resolved because there wasn't anything that amazing that happened to begin with.

Do you know what I like? isekais where the person is taking skills from his previous universe and applying it to the new universe.
for the most part, the show delivers on that. The fact that our main character takes the science he knows from before he died and transfers it to the magic he uses is a pretty cool concept.
Personally, I'm a sucker for overpowered main characters showing off-and that's what this show is to a T. Not much to say so I'll just blandly list out the pros and cons.
Pros:
-the main character is op and shows it off.
-main character and girlfriend don't take
...
long to get together(no beating around the bush)
-overall a fun time. Just seeing all the spells and reactions is like watching dumb tv, it's lazy and exciting to watch.
-Not too many cliche anime elements.
Cons:
-Side cast is bland and forgettable.
-breast size comparing.
-Undeserved beach episode.
-The plot is pretty basic and lacks focus.
-sound and art are nothing to write home about. clearly they were under-budget.
Do I recommend watching this? Well, that depends, did you enjoy animes such as in another world with my smartphone? Do you enjoy shows where the main character is transported to a new world and is pretty much a baller the whole time he is there? Then yes.
If not, then the show will definitely come off as annoying to you.

What can i say about this show? Well, the first episode had me hooked immediately.
The protagonist and a spunky little kid running around and looking for demons? Trying to get back body parts? I was invested!
It kept going, for I say about 15 episodes, then the anime started to resolve things; while this is not a bad thing, the reason why I didn't like that aspect will be touched on in a little bit. but first, let me just talk about everything I liked.
All the characters were beautifully orchestrated, from the blind old man, to our main cast, to the loving mother who misses
...
her son. Everyone in this anime had a role to play and did it well without being a nuisance to plot development.
the story is based off an old story, so we pretty much got a contained story that still works to this day.
the art is absolutely beautiful, the animators were not lazy. from the eyes of our characters to the scenery, every penned-in line told a story.
sound isn't much to write home about, your basic run-of-the-mill japanese-Chinese score with classical eastern instruments. not amazing, but it did fit.
So what did I not like? Well, 2 things:
1. the needless sacrifice of characters. I won't go into detail on where it happened that annoyed me. But I really hate the trope of "we must make the stakes high, sacrifices must be made" in order for writers to tell a good story. I think it's needless and only serves to frustrate me. It was fine sometimes, but overall when you have 5 characters being sacrificed, I feel like your not trying that hard anymore. I can understand how some people like this, so I won't hold it against the show.
2. I wanted it to be longer, like.. Inuyasha longer. I say Inuyasha because I really thought the journey bouncing off the characters in that show made it enjoyable to watch and slog through 160+ episodes. I felt this anime could have been that... but unfortunately, as I said before:
It's based off an old tale. So BOTH my criticisms are invalid. The wrap up at around episode 15 was something I had to deal with because of the restraint. The original story had sacrifices. so changing that would have been dishonest. And making it longer would have been impossible.
But overall it was well enjoyed. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I came into this season of anime thinking that this anime was going to be a trash anime added to the pile while shows like "fairy gone" was going to be the main attraction. BOY WAS I WRONG. the complete opposite in fact.
This show is fun. Have you ever seen xxxholic? remember how the main characters would go around and have fun situations with supernatural elements that govern the world? imagine that but the characters aren't annoying anime cliches.
sure, one can say that some of these characters are boring. But honestly the involvement of some of the supernatural entities REALLY bounces off of them.
The
...
show involves a world inhabited by creatures called "anothers" who exist in secret a long side humans. These Anothers come in many different forms and a lot of them resemble a lot of folk lore creatures.
But, where does the fun come in? Well. the main draw of this anime is that Anothers shouldn't just straight up be killed if they cause trouble. The main characters of this story understand that these beings need to exist on earth while not involving themselves with humans.
that's what makes it so fun to watch. They don't kill them, the main character ends up coming up with strange solutions to deal with these Anothers that ends up making everyone happy in the end. Whether it be having a drink with them or having a pagota party, there's always a fun solution.
One thing i also like is Kohaku. The metrosexual Aztec god. My god he is so cool and i love every moment he is on screen. But enough about that, let me tell you about the music:
Very low-key fantasy like. The music pays attention to the setting and acknowledges that the show has a city life, but at the same time plays kajiura-like fantasy themes that are subtly mixed in. Very nice on the ears.
Overall, this show was a treat. The main problem I had with the show is that each episode starts off slow. Usually, in a good anime, they end the episode with a hook, and then the next episode completes the hook, goes into more info, then goes for another hook by the end.
Not this show, it kind of just ends after solving everything-then you gotta go into the next episode waiting for the more interesting key elements to happen.

This anime was very promising after the first episode, but unfortunately, it fell into that trap of becoming somewhat a kids show with a repetitive formula every episode.
I mean, come on, i liked milk chan, but even that got boring after episode 6 when the landlord came over... AGAIN.
But I digress, the story and the whacky antics are very interesting at first, BUT ONLY AT FIRST. They really don't throw much into the mix later on and i don't see them continuing to do so.
let's talk about the police officer couple... Are they necessary? Are they even part of the story?
See the problem
...
here is that it tries to be random and clever with garnishes of comedy. But it's only good for a chuckle here and there on the first episode.
Animation is good. Sound is pretty good too, reminds me of old japanese anime music.
Overall, watch the first couple of episodes, then skip it, you're not missing much.
