This damn movie.... SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!
Gotoubun no Hanayome was one of the first anime to get me so interested, that I had to finish the manga. It was also one of the first anime that made me fall in love with the Romance genre of Anime. I'll rate the series first to make things clearer...

Personally, I was a Yostubro from the beginning, so when she won in the manga and the movie, of course I was happy. However as I read back, I realized the lackluster spotlight she was given. Sure she got her development back in Kyoto, but she grew up

and became a new Yotsuba after Fuutaro left. They should've focused on her present relationship with him more, rather than a reflection of the past.
Does that make it a bad ending? NO
Does that make it bad writing and storytelling? Unfortunately yes :(
I will say, the movie tied everything together well, and patched up some big plot holes, however it just gave the feeling of, "There needs to be more". I agree with everyone saying there should have been a 3rd season as opposed to a movie, it would have given more time to silently develop Yotsuba and make her into more of a convincing winner, rather than a shot in the dark.
I still love the series, and it has a special place in my heart.
