Honestly? Uh, wow. This one blew me away. Got way more than I expected. It seemed so perverted and light-hearted and funny, but things start getting deep later on in the series. There's good character development for all of the major characters and the relationships are all fantastic. I found myself laughing here, and crying there sometimes as well. The drama is strong!
Story: Due to the premise of highschool girls having their lives overtaken by sex, it was easy for me to mistake this for some kind of gag anime. But there's a lot of thought and detail put into every episode and every interaction.
...
The journey from start to finish gets better and better.
Art: Sometimes the art is cute, sometimes it's intense. But there's never any drops in quality. It maintains a strong quality throughout the entire series.
Sound: The OST is great - whether it's for the funny scenes or the sad or intense ones. The opening and ending themes are quite memorable as well.
Character: If you've read any of my other reviews before, you'll know how much I enjoy the characters. For me, characters are everything. And like I said in the synopsis of my review, the character development in this series is astounding. You essentially have a group of kids who take a laugh and tear-filled journey into becoming respectable young adults.
Enjoyment: I loved this series so much that I couldn't stop watching it once I started. Easily a binge-worthy series from start to finish.

Kimetsu no Yaiba is so good it kinda reviews itself, if that makes sense. In all honesty, if there's an annual award for 'best anime', if Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer doesn't get said award, I'll be shocked! Honestly, I can easily compare it to the likes of other Masterpieces such as Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It's serious that damn good.
Story: 10 - Wanting to turn your sister back into a human after she was demonised isn't exactly original, but the journey the MC takes to achieve this is simply outstanding. It's incredible how much emotion is poured into each scene, and I personally found
...
myself either filled with laughter, adrenaline, or tears constantly watching this show.
Art: 10 - Easily some of the best artwork and animation I've ever witnessed in anime, Demon Slayer is top-tier for sure. The attention to detail in backgrounds and fight scenes is simply magnificent.
Sound: 10 - The opening and ending themes are awesome and I find myself never skipping either. It's easy to get emotional just listening to them when you think about everything that is happening in the series. The OST is some of the best music I've listened to in anime as well.
Characters: 10 - Characters are always what get my attention the most when it comes to anime. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer has an awesome cast of characters all with their own unique personalities and quirks that make them constantly enjoyable to watch.
Enjoyment: 10 - Every episode has an impact on the story or characters, and thank god there's 26 of them. If this was a 12 episode anime it just wouldn't be enough. Not a lot of the anime these days has been able to affect me emotionally like Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer has.
Overall: 10 - It's one of the best anime series I've ever watched, period. I don't know what else to say. It's a masterpiece through and through.

TL;DR - Hilarious harem anime with some 0 to 100 fetish characters. It's worth watching if you don't mind a typical clueless main protagonist. I'm enjoying it so far - and when the series ends I'll update this review, and see if my stance on it changes.
So, we have another romantic comedy harem anime. There's plenty of them, which is great cause I love the genre! Kawaikereba is a harem anime that seems to give its characters a specific type of fetish-personality. On paper that might sound weird but the anime has done it in a way that is entertaining as all hell!
Story: 6/Fair -
...
It's a story with the main character that women are drawn to. Typical harem stuff. Still, the premise of wanting to find who left him a love letter with their panties is quite fun. Also, it doesn't entirely focus on a bunch of women in love with the main character; it actually has side characters having romance as well!!! Whoa! Shock and awe, right? Isn't that great! More harem anime need to do this, IMO.
Art: 7 - The animation isn't that great, but the character designs are cute. It kind of reminds me of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukanai! Well, not quite on the same level but still good. The attention to detail on backgrounds and stuff isn't bad either.
Sound: 6 - I haven't really picked up any outstanding character voices but it's not like I watch anime in English Dub, so I can't give a credible review on voice acting. The OST is pretty standard though. It's fun.
Character: 7 - Each female character has their own archetype but they also have some personality outside of their two-dimensional characteristic. It sounds like I'm speaking negatively about the characters, but I'm not. It's funny as hell to experience the twist and turns of the characters in this anime. Oh, but for better or worse, the main character is a fucking dumb ass some times. But hey, that's harem for you. Protagonists are clueless.
Enjoyment: 8 - I'm laughing with every episode so regardless of everything else, I'm willing to say I've enjoyed this series a lot.
Overall: 7 - I mean, it's good! It's funny, it's moving at times surprisingly, and the characters are adorable!!
PS: I'm probably a little too generous with my reviews, haha. No regrets, though! If something's good and entertains me, I'll give it a good rating.

TL;DR - It has its flaws but it's still good! I enjoy it immensely and can't wait for the next episode. I hope you give it a try!
Here's another one with low ratings and I can see why. I mean, a 6~ rating on MAL isn't TOO bad and I can see why it gets the rating it does. I love it though, personally. A solid 8 from me. I love the Isekai genre - and Arifureta does it quite well. Its biggest mistake, however, is that it seems to cut out a lot of the source material. Things just move way too fast. It
...
has a complex and interesting world and it's trying to build on multiple characters but if it keeps skipping through content like this it might not get much better.
Story: 7 - It's another Isekai: a genre which is BOOMING right now. There's far more Isekai anime these days than any other genre put together, or so it seems. But as I mentioned before, I love Isekai. If you love Isekai with powerful main characters, I'm sure you'll love this as well. It has some nice romance as well, and despite one of its themes being 'harem', it doesn't really throw the harem stuff in your face. Also, betrayal themes are always nice. Arifureta gives me a Shield Hero vibe but it's still its own series and I enjoy it.
Art: 8 - The art might be one of the main things keeping this series afloat. That's just a guess though. It's damn good animation but it would be good if they did something with the CGI they use with monsters.
Sound: 7 - Background music is fine and the impact from magical attacks is good as well. Voice acting is nothing special but that's okay! It's nothing bad either!
Character: 8 - As always, it's the characters that attract me the most. Their backstories, their goals, their relationships with one another, their quirks, their abilities. Characters will always be the most important thing in enjoying a series for me! Arifureta has a lot of characters it wants to focus on but as mentioned before it skips too much content. The main character and his two main companions are great and it's always fun watching them. I'm looking forward to seeing the MC interact with other main characters throughout the series.
Enjoyment: 8 - I mean I binged it in one night up to episode 9. Stayed up til 4:00 AM cause I couldn't stop watching, so yeah, I enjoyed it. I just love anime like this where a character starts off weak and becomes absolutely bloody OP! I love watching the reactions from his former associates who knew him as a weakling to see what he has become! Stuff like Shield Hero, Dungeon, and others. This show is another one for me to look back on someday and enjoy again!
So... Yeah, an 8 from me. It's worth watching, but you should know it skips a fair bit of content from the light novel. I haven't read it personally but some friends of mine mentioned it. Even without knowing this, it's easy to see a lot of content is skipped as you watch the anime. It's still enjoyable though and I hope this positive review convinces some of you!

TL;DR - Don't drop this anime because of the poor artwork and apparent rip off of other Isekai. It actually gets really good. It's worth watching. I personally enjoyed it immensely.
Did you give up on this anime when you realised it was an amalgamation of just about every other Isekai out there? Or maybe you had enough of it when you saw how piss-poor the backgrounds were. Or maybe even the sound. Or the poor animation.
I almost did. I'm so glad I kept watching. Yeah, this anime does feel like it copied a lot of its content from other Isekai such as Overlord and Konosuba,
...
and yes, it does almost feel like a poor parody of those. However... I'm still so glad I kept watching.
It's actually GOOD! It's good BECAUSE it reminds me of those series. Anyway, I'll get to the meat of the review.
Story: Very Good! - The story is surprisingly heavy. There are a lot of underlying plots waiting to surface, and while at first, it seemed like Demon Lord, Retry was a straight forward self-service anime meant to capitalise on the boom that is Isekai, it becomes fairly intricate later down the line! I haven't even finished the series yet, I'm 11 episodes in as I write the review, yet I can't wait to find out what happens next!!
Art: Decent. - The first few episodes or so do NOT have decent art at all. I'd say the art was downright dreadful. The backgrounds looked lazy and poorly done. Like someone just smudged green around for forests, and brown for desert. However, at a certain point, the artwork improves significantly. Not only the character animation but the backgrounds as well. So, just get past the first three episodes or so and you might see what a delight this series actually is.
Sound: Good. - In the beginning, I had a poor opinion of the sound. The voice acting was fine but the background music seemed lazy and repetitive. Strangely, though, the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. I started thinking 'Wow, this is actually pretty good. It makes the anime more fun, even if it sounds like a 12-year-old is playing their recorder to impress their parents. Haha, no, seriously, I think you'll enjoy the sound after a while.
Characters: Very Good! - The characters enhance the plot, and the plot enhances the characters. Demon Lord, Retry seems to be able to make all its characters interesting. Kunai's apparent harem has cute and funny characters, but they all actually have an interesting backstory. They're not just thrown into it. And even better is that the anime has a diverse cast and gives screentime to lots of characters, not just the main one.
Enjoyment: Great!! - Yep. Loved it. Kept me up nearly until daylight hours from the night because I just couldn't stop watching this one.
Overall: Very Good! - Okay, it has its flaws but I personally loved it. It could be seen as your temporary fix until Overlord Season 4 comes out or another Konosuba, or you can appreciate it for what it is and acknowledge it as its own show. That's what I'm doing. I think it's good enough. Really looking forward to more of this show! I sincerely hope it's a 24~ episode length series, and I hope even more that it has more than one season. It certainly seems to have enough groundwork for multiple seasons!
-
Update: I've now seen all 12 episodes. I worry that this anime might not be well received and probably won't get a second season. I really hope it does though, I really enjoyed it!!!

Been a while since I wrote a review. I've seen a lot of good anime and they were all worth writing reviews for but I suppose I couldn't be bothered.
Anyway, I'll get to it. Liked this series a lot. It felt realistic but was also beautiful, cute, and romantic. However, it didn't push the romance in your face and focused more on the characters' personal lives, which I thought worked really well.
Story - Very Good. The romance between the 45 year old manager and 17 year old employee was interesting and done really well.
Art - Very Good. It had a gentle tone and was
...
rather cute as well. The animation never dropped.
Sound - Very Good. The music that played during romance scenes was nice and the voice acting was as well. The show had the best music it could play at all the right moments.
Characters - Great. Personally, it's the characters that I enjoy the most in anime. If you don't watch something you never know what kind of complex, amazing, awesome, funny characters you might miss out on. The characters weren't particularly dazzling in this series but they had more than enough complexity and development to keep me happy. It was a lot of fun watching the main characters deal with their aspirations and relationships with one another.
Enjoyment - Very Good. I was smiling a lot watching this series. The Manager's awkwardness at times was hilarious and it was also one of his most charming features. Tachibana's feelings for him came across as adorable, especially due to her seemingly cold and aloof personality.
Overall - Very Good. I like anime that focuses more on just the main characters. The side characters in this series were interesting and I found myself enjoying their scenes quite a lot. I also really like when 'romance' animes focus more on characters' dreams than their romance. That might just be a personal taste though. Anyway, yeah! Sold 8 for me!

Just wanna begin by saying that this anime is so adorable and so emotional!
Story: Can't help but feel emotional about the story setting, one-sided love is always so beautiful, yet sad... Watching the relationships play out in this story just keeps me hooked for the entire run.
Art: The designs are cute as hell. Every facial expression is adorable, so I can't help but want to give the art a high rating. The eyes are cute, and when emotion is intended, the art really helps get that across.
Sound: The music played, especially the OP and Ending themes, are very memorable and I never once skipped
...
them.
Characters: While the story mostly just focuses on the two main characters, as well as Sayaka, there are a few supporting characters that the show gives screen time to that, despite not being that often or focused, does an excellent job of portraying as much of that character as is needed. Nanami, Sayaka, and Yuu all have very interesting personalities, and I was extremely invested in all of them!
Overall Enjoyment: While comedy wasn't a major focus, I laughed quite a fair bit but it was more out of giddiness and joy at the cute interactions between characters than straight up laughs. The amount of emotion that comes off this show makes it a must watch for anyone that enjoys a good romance story!

I'll start by saying there was a lot of negative news about Fruit of Grisaia that prevented me from watching it for a very long time. Well, after watching it finally, I'm only able to reinforce in my mind the idea that OTHER PEOPLE'S opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. That's a bit hypocritical since I'm writing a positive review for this anime, so hopefully, if you're reading this, you don't always think for yourself and will heed another person's thoughts. I hope you do this time.
I think Fruit of Grisaia could easily be compared to anime such as Angel Beats and
...
The Irregular of Magic Highschool. That is to say, it's like a combination of the two. Again, you need to watch this anime for yourself, more than just the first few episodes.
Story: The story is great, it's nothing too original but that's fine, it's the delivery that matters more than originality, I say. An awesome main character who's been through some terrible things in his life, helping his fellow class mates through their own issues that the past has brought on for them. It's a great premise and it's played out really well.
Art: The art is great, much better than I was expecting it to be. Think Monogatari art meets Angel beats art. The emotions the characters display are very believable because of the art work in their expressions, and some of the comedic expressions are hilarious and loveable as well.
Sound: The music is great. Sad music is played at the right time to make an already tearjerking scene much more tearjerking. The character voices are awesome as well, especially Michiru. She's so funny, reminds me a lot of Yui from Angel Beats!
Characters: (*Light Spoiler*) All the main female characters have some sad, dark issues that make them all loveable and make you really want things to work out for them. Some of the episodes concerning these characters will get really dark, especially nearing the end of this season of FoG. And it's the raw emotional detail that's put into these characters that makes this anime so good, and definitely worth watching.
Enjoyment and Overall: I don't think this series was really lacking in anything. It had a good balance of comedy, sadness, joy, action, suspense - it was perfectly well rounded. It did involve some ecchi and a lot of the ecchi scenes seemed unnecessary but really: When is ecchi truly necessary? I enjoyed the ecchi, personally. But don't worry, if ecchi is something that's offputting to you, perish it from your mind. It doesn't try to shove the ecchi scenes down your throat, and as the show progresses, it becomes less and less frequent.
So yeah, in closing, this is definitely worth watching if you enjoyed titles like Angel Beats or Irregular of Magic Highschool. Gave it a ten out of ten myself.

Before watching Your Lie In April, I didn't ever have any interest in anime where the focal point was music. So, with how much I enjoyed that anime, I decided to give Nodame Cantabile a try. From the very first episode, I knew I was going to enjoy it.
Story: As the story mostly revolves around Chiaki's amazing talent as a pianist, violinist, and ultimately his goal of becoming a conductor, I think it was really great to watch his development into the man he wants to become. Nodame, the woman with a wild style of playing the piano is the only person who seems capable
...
of matching Chiaki, in her own way. The development of these two and the supporting characters in this story is very enjoyable.
Art: The art is pretty good. There's nothing terrible about it, and the attention to detail on all of the instruments is pretty damn impressive. The character art is funny, and decent as well.
Sound: It's an anime about music, so as expected, the sound is outstanding. All of the OST for the anime is some version of classical music, and then all of the music pieces in competitions etc are a beauty to listen to. I seriously want to go to Orchestra one day now.
Character: Chiaki and Nodame are both great characters with their own aspirations, fears, and backstories. Additionally, there are so many supporting characters with interesting personalities and skills in music that it's pretty difficult to ever find time to grow bored with this series. I'm hoping to these characters return in Nodame Cantabile: Paris-hen.
Enjoyment: I laughed a lot. Really enjoyed all of the live music presentations, and actually even found myself tearing up listening to how intense some of the music was as well. Definitely, DEFINITELY need to visit an orchestra someday.
Overall: A solid 8 for sure. Really good anime series, worth watching for sure.

It took me a long, LONG time to get around to watching this series. 47 episodes for a romance series I suppose made me hesitant... But once I started watching, I just couldn't stop. I laughed, cried, and felt angry at all the times the writers intended.
Story: The story was amazing. Truth be told I started watching because I was hoping for girl x girl sort of romance, but that didn't seem to be the case. But, the romance found in this show was incredibly realistic and heavy, so if you're a romance fan, you're sure to cry.
Art: As expected of Madhouse, the art is
...
incredible. It's an old series, yet it still surpasses the art of most of the anime that comes out today.
Sound: I loved the music. Given that music is one of the main factors for this series, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the music - that which is sung by the bands, and the OST itself, is all very good.
Character: I don't think I've ever seen an anime series with character complexity that rivals those in Nana. I got far more than I was expecting from this anime when it comes to character development and character complexity. Definitely one of the best. The friendship between Osaki Nana and Katsumi Nana is beautiful, and frustrating at the same time... But it's a very memorable friendship regardless.
Enjoyment: I loved this series. I laughed and I cried. Things didn't go the way I was hoping, but I suppose that's fine since this is probably one of the most realistic anime series I've ever seen. And romance doesn't always go the way you hope.
Overall: Honestly, I wanted to give this a 9/10 just out of spite due to things not going the way I wanted them to. I was so damn invested in the story that I even felt a bit stressed, hoping, PLEADING - for things to go the way I wanted... But they didn't. Still, this is easily one of the best anime series that exists, and it will ABSOLUTELY withstand the test of time. If for some reason you've contemplated watching Nana, but haven't brought yourself to do so... if you're reading this, then give it a shot. Just watch, and suddenly you'll blink "It's over already?"
That's just how good this is.
