First, let me just offer you some advice: Do not eat food while you're watching this anime, you will be sorely disappointed in your food.
It seems like you either love this anime or you hate it. There's really no in-between. I've found that those who've read the manga, don't like it, but those who've only watched the anime tend to love it. I'm the latter of the two.

Even though I gave this anime such a high rating, I was honestly a bit iffy about it at first. When I started out watching the first episode, it was great! The animation was beautiful, the characters weren't all angel-like, it was funny, and entertaining, if not a small bit violent (just a punch and some rough man-handling). The characters (read the uke) weren't all innocent and sweet, rather they were flawed and had their own problems. It was towards the end of that first episode that I started getting a little uncomfortable because there was non-con at the end, but it all works out,
