This is kind of a bittersweet review for me. Sweet because I loved the art and wanted to love the story. Bitter because this movie is is dreadful and not worth watching. With a premise similar to the likes of Tokyo Ghoul its unfortunate this lacks all the moral gray area. Newsflash: the Fuse ARE the bad guys, they kill and eat people's souls there's no way around it. This is truly studio Triggers greatest work of artistry, stunning visuals, excellent design in both environment and character, and a star studded soundtrack. But there is one teeny tiny little issue, the story. The story in and of itself is inoffensive but both its resolution and inability to have a tone is actually appalling. If there is one thing I hate more than anything else in storytelling it's the "redemption" of the villian, here we see two separate people try to commit actual Genocide and in the end its all okay because one of them is the MC friends sister and the other maybe isn't
