I will try to keep this review spoiler free as much as possible but do take care if I slip somewhere that you received this warning at the beginning.
I saw this anime 3 times until now and it brakes my heart to see this anime ranked so low and get such reviews but I won't judge other people's opinion, as much as I would like to; instead I will just give my own and try to explain to the best of my ability why I think this is a great anime.
Story.....10.
I guess anything cute will cause some people in our days
...
to gouge their eyes out without considering the packaging. I, on the other hand consider the way it's done and the packaging before dismissing something just because it's overly "kawai" in some people's opinion. On this occasion even dough the story is so sweet it can give you diabetes it so well presented and paced in such a way that you will only crave for more. The romance and the bromance in this anime is some of the best I've ever seen, with the red and blue ogres mini story complimenting it perfectly.
Characters.....10
I absolutely love the characters in this anime. Are you looking for realism? Then you can go watch a documentary or shitty dating show on TV. This anime does not boast realism in the way the character handle the relationship but it makes us want to be there, at least that's how I felt. I for one don't watch anime or movies for realism, I face reality everyday outside of those. I watch anime to immerse myself in a better world, to see how would things be if a romance would be this pure and beautiful, or a friendship between two guys can be this hearth-worming. I love the misunderstandings between the characters and they way they clear them. I also like the main character interior monologues. His voice seems perfect to be the narrator of his own life.
Animation.....8
Well the animation is not perfect but it's enough for this anime that it shouldn't bother you in the least. I admit I might be biased in this category as I rank animation the lowest when it comes to any entertainment medium. It's the same with games, do we care that much for the graphics to the detriment of the game? Maybe some people do but I think that's a wrong way to see things. And I think many people agree with me seeing the rise of the indie games that don't have the triple a graphics of normal release but is far more enjoyable. The same goes for anime. Just because guilty crown had some very impressive animation, specially for it's time, that doesn't mean the anime wasn't extremely bad in my opinion. I'm not going to say that you can be extremely lazy and don't even bother coloring half the things in your anime (Acchi Kocchi) and call it artist choice you can have fairly good animation for the type of anime you are presenting. That's enough for me.
Music....8
The sound is just like the animation nothing to write home about but it's in no way horrible or not in tune with the anime. It does well to compliment the atmosphere of a relaxed conversation in a relaxed world. It just put's you in a chill mood which fits the anime perfectly. The piano score for allot of the adorable situations is so endearing.
Overall Enjoyment....10
You can tell can't you? You can tell I love this anime. I am the type to re-watch the shows that I like over and over again and seeing how I already saw this 3 times and it's so recent, I just adore this anime. If I ever need my fix of a cute and adorable romance, a wonderful friendship, an anime that makes your worries go away, this is the one for me. Here's hoping I see more of these types of anime.
My recommendation is to go watch this anime and try to look past your own misconceptions of cute and adorable things are "meh" because it'a all in how it's done that makes something great.

Ashita no Nadja....oh my god this anime! Before I go on with my review let me tell a short little story. A couple of years back, my brother and I started watching this anime not knowing what to expect. But before you know it we got so hooked that we saw that last 8 episodes in Spanish not understanding a word they were saying and with no subtitles just to see what will happen. This anime becomes an emotional roller-coaster maybe unlike anything you've ever seen before. It's a masterpiece and it's sad that most people don't know about it giving it's from 2004 and
...
the fact that it was so rare to find anywhere. But maybe now if more people see it they will spread the word because anime fans need to see this!
Now on with the review!
Story 10/10: Not spoiling anything, the story revolves around Nadja, a young orphan who finds out her mother might still be alive and her adventures around the world in the company of the Dandelion troupe, a travelling group of street performers filled with colorful characters. It's a magnificent tale of discovery, wonder and awe. The story starts and keeps a rather cheerful tone until the third act when things get serious. You will get so invested in this after the first half that you will have to see all of it in one sitting. And I'm not saying the first half is bad by any means it's just the tone of the overall plot that differs. Starting with a revelation and a quick departure on an adventure, continuing to explore the joy of travelling around the world and ending with intrigue and emotional conflicts.
Art 9/10: The art is very good for 2004 being colorful and elegant. It's joyful, intense and refined getting you really immersed into the anime. You can definitely see the effort put into this.
Sound 10/10: The sound in this anime is excellent! Starting from the wonderful intro to all the other songs that accompany Nadja's performance with the Dandelion troupe, the themes and the ending, the sound is perfect in this anime. Everything you hear is like an year massage, it just sounds great.
Characters 10/10: Oh the characters. There are allot of colorful characters in this anime and you will enjoy each and every one of them for their role, from the over the top villains to the joyful warm Dandelion members that make Nadja feel like family and the seriousness of the heroes. Nadja herself if very enjoying to watch because you can see her grow and mature throughout her experience around the world and also you really want to cheer for her seeing how she tries her best never to give up and works hard towards her goals. The male lead or leads which are also the love interest are really interesting as well. They are equally determined in their goals and interest for Nadja and feel the need to help her in every way possible. Their ways of achieving their goals is very different and their view of the world is also different but you will find yourself rooting for one or another or both nevertheless. The villains are great as well rating from silly to charming and over the top or to diabolically clever and maleficent. But they are not villains just for the sake of it, they all have their reasons, be them good or bad and they play a big part on how much you will get invested in this anime.
Enjoyment 10/10: If you can't already tell I've really really enjoyed this anime. I consider it a masterpiece, and although subjective as this opinion might be I think everyone who will see it will think of it as either good or excellent if they are being honest. Like I said earlier it becomes so griping that you will skip a night of sleep with having to go to work the next day just to see it to the end.
Overall 10/10: I can't rate this lower than 10. It's just such a great experience which I wish on everyone. This anime will make a permanent mark on you and you will never forget it. Give it a try, disregard the fact that it's a little old or longer than your average 12/24 episodes running shows today and watch it! You will not be disappointed!

The best way to describe Acchi Kocchi in a few words is: fluffy relaxation. At least that's how it felt for me. This is the kind of anime that just makes you fell all warm and cuddly inside. So it might not be for everyone. If you are looking for drama or serious conflict this is not the anime for you, but if you want to just melt in your chair and get a smile over your face for a few hours watch it!
Story 6/10: Seeing how this is a slice of life rom-com about a girl who likes a boy set in a
...
school environment, there isn't much of a story to talk about. Shy girl like boy acts all cutesy and stuff, that's all you need to know.
Art 7/10: The art is nothing to brag about but it's enough for this type of anime. Some might complain about the lack of proper textures of most people except for the main characters but you only need to see the main characters and the interactions between them. Plus the textures on the rest of the people can be looked at as artistic.
Sound 7/10: The sound is ok with a rare or to my knowledge unique intro it's uniqueness coming from the fact that it's a duet. It's cheerful and energetic, maybe to energetic, compared to the pace of the anime which is more lax.
Characters 7/10: The characters are all interesting and funny but the main attraction is Tsumiki, the female lead who is just the cutest thing ever. And by that I don't mean only looks, her interactions and her personality just makes you want to pat her and protect her like a cute little cat.
Enjoyment 9/10: I really enjoyed this anime. I realize it might not be everyone's cup of tea but if you feel the need for something heart warming from time to time, an anime like this is the best thing! For some people it might just have to much cuteness and fluffiness but it really put a smile on my face throughout the hole thing.
Overall 7/10: Trying to be as objective as possible I will give this anime a 7 but I totally recommend it. If you enjoy bathing it a tone of cuteness from time to time, go watch this anime, you will not be disappointed.
