...then you might like Koutetsujou no Kabaneri add

Dark theme, apocalypse-like set, monsteruous creatures which want to drive humanity into extinction and a protagonist with special power who wants to change this fact. I think that the general idea behind Koutetsujou no Kabaneri was really very similar to Shingeki no Kyojin, the latter surely had way more potential than the first, but I believe who had watched Snk would like KnK too, especially when we consider the art-style and the OST.

Very intelligent high school student Being granted with supernatural powers and using this power to change the world and not merely their surroundings... even if it means to use dark and wrong means to achieve this dream... this is the main theme for both of these stories. Despite the time set difference I believe that anyone who enjoyed watching one of these psychological thriller then he will enjoy watching the other, the main protagonist of both series have much similar points and there's a lot of duels of wits and sharpness.

"Am I human or not?", It's the question that both protagonists of these two series are trying to find in one way or another, each story take a place in a total different time from the other so different weapons and technology development; even so they share in the existence of some fiction-made creatures(titans and ghouls), with Eren (SNK) and Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul) sharing the same fear through the story...the terror of eating a human !!!.
