Your average Isekai with a slightly power-boosted MC from the get-go, discarded and cursed by the goddess. It's the MC against the world, thoroughly your standard Isekai, in an own twisted way.
While the beginning might not be your standard classical introduction, it's fairly intriguing in its own way.
It starts off with his parents entering a contract with a Goddess from a different world. One day he begins his long journey leaving behind lingering regrets and emotions in the human world and is teleported to the new world. He is cast aside by the Goddess in that world and is sent to the outer edge
...
of that world. But before this, he is both cursed and gifted by the goddess, which will be the main impact on the MC throughout his journey, gathering allies and servants as he travels.
To be blunt, it's a slightly less interesting Isekai, from what I've seen in season 1. However, with how it ended, it might still be salvaged in season 2. But don't take this the wrong way, it's still an okay and interesting Isekai story.
=== Story ===
Score: 6/10
The story is a little lacking and sometimes leaves a lot of gaps that could have been filled with an entire episode or even an entire season. The backstory for many of the characters is lacking, if not most. The main characters are somewhat improving and evolving throughout the anime, in several ways. But it still has a lot of unsolved issues that should be addressed. Overall, I believe it's a solid 6 out of 10.
=== Art ===
Score: 8/10
The art is on par with other titles and I enjoy the over-done powerful fighting scenes, which is so rare in this anime so far, it has become eye-candy for me... Yeah. It's an 8 out of 10.
=== Sound ===
Score: 7/10
The music fits the scenes (all from battle scenes to relaxing scenes). It seems like they did their homework. Not much to criticize on there. But, it still only receives a 7 out of 10.
=== Characters and personality ===
Score: 6/10
The MC does evolve to some extent, but I don't get the ordinary "sympathy" for the MC feeling when I watch "sad" themed scenes. It's like they're missing some key values to really build a proper MC that you sympathize for when they cry or go through painful memories. Apart from the MC, the only good personality traits are the MC's servants. And the annoying little girl. (If you've seen it, you'll know right away who I refer to) It's a solid 6 out of 10. More can be done to properly create a bridge for the main MC and the viewer in an emotional way.
=== Overall ===
Score: 8/10
It's a decent Isekai that can be salvaged in season 2. If they manage to resolve some issues they've clearly overlooked so far. And the series needs a cute mascot (i.e like Milim from Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) to really compete with other big titles that are ongoing right now. With some further character development or more romcom, maybe it can still live up to its name. And more content which revolves around the goddess, which the entire story is developed around, would be nice. After all, I think she appears like 2 times during season 1? (Correct me if I'm mistaken.) It's a solid 8 out of 10, which is higher rated than I'd like, but it has a bright potential with the new upcoming season 2 so.

I sincerely hope people won't blindly vote negatively on this next chapter of SAO III just because of its title and the fact its "SAO".
Everything that has happened in Part 1 of the story so far, has led up to an interesting point.
This recap was made in a way that even if you weren't really into part 1, you definitely got a good overview of the most important key scenes and see a summarized version leading up to the next chapter of the story.
I do sincerely hope they don't milk content as they did for a few episodes in Part 1, where they basically were
...
pointless.
And no, I did not hate those, because even tho they were pointless, I still enjoyed them nonetheless.
Well, I am excited to see what end awaits Kirito and the others.

Well, to be my first review, I thought it had to be on an Anime I've had heard so many different opinions around.
I will not go into any great details like sounds, characters or any technical stuff.
Because frankly, I am here to enjoy the Anime not to watch it, for then analyze how poorly it can perform compared to some other work.
To be able to sink to such a level, I can personally say you're not there to enjoy the Anime but to trash it completely,
which is a great shame to all of those actual Anime fans out there who enjoys the content rather then
...
the quality.
Every Anime is an unoriginal piece of work, no matter how you twist or bend on it.
Therefore, I have decided to refrain from doing so and properly enjoy the actual shown content, storyline, the arc and where the story is headed.
To be totally honest, the split opinions regarding this Anime, the previous "movie" and Second season and first, sadly pull a heavy toll on this one.
This one is rather unique compared to the first season, the second season and the "modernized reality world" movie.
Every Season has had its different twists on the era.
Futuristic, Medieval and real-time with a bit of modern technology.
To pity this Anime series because of what "fans" claim as a "total failure of a Season 1" is sadly how low the split community can become.
I've seen some pretty harsh judgment on the previous seasons and I've seen people explicitly hating this Anime and season because they believe it's on the same level as Season 1 or 2, while this ascends above both of them in times of storyline and events. I will not comment on art or Characters, as stated in the beginning.
If you're against the original concept behind the Anime.
There is no need to force yourself to like it, the Anime resolves around 1 concept, and if you hate it that much to make fake alt users too hate on it, you might as well stop calling yourself a worthy Anime watcher, you're nothing but someone to pity for have sunken so incredibly low.
I've been a fan since I first saw Season 1 in 2018.
I'm no hardcore fan or a continuous binge-watcher.
So I can safely assure my opinion is as neutral as it can get,
where the odds are weighting the most is up to the reader to decide.
I felt like expressing some of the unspoken facts about why this Anime shouldn't even be taken lightly compared to previous Seasons.
Well, that pretty much concludes my review.
My overall rating is 9, for the following reasons.
It gave me a decent storyline, that was practically interesting and not distorted in all kinds of arcs, pretty much straightforward.
It also left me wanting more, for over 150+ days now, I can't wait to use some time every weekend to watch a new release :D
