Is this manga WAY too short? Yes. BUT! I find it really good nonetheless and I only have minor issues with it.
Very few mangas, especially in the BL scene, seem to fully grasp the intricacy of mental health issues. It's often under the pretense of "LOVE WILL HEAL YOU FROM ANY PAIN." As if finding love is like getting kissed by Jesus, turning your trauma into roses and butterflies. While love DOES make a whole lot of things easier, it does not get rid of anyone's mental health issues. If anything, it just pushes them deeper and deeper into the subconscious.
That being said, this
...
manga is, by far, one of the best attempts in fully catching the difficulties in tackling one's inner demons, while still being engaged with daily activities IMO. It genuinely tries to delve into our MC's issues and the impacts that come with them in a realistic manner and leaves on a note that is understandable, realistic, yet healthy.
It's a quick read and if you have time to spare, I think it's absolutely worth it.
Things I had issues with (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!)
A) The only moment I found unnecessary (or rather ill-fitting) was the masturbation scene of the third chapter. I don't know, to me it felt somewhat forced and irrelevant.
B) While it was always heavily implied and also visualized, I do think seeing our second lead's past fully developed would have been important as well. I found it disappointing seeing how he seems to be doing so unbelievably well, while having a very traumatizing past himself. Learning how he overcame his past and his journey would have made the story even heavier and darker, yes, but I can't help but wanting to learn more as a reader.
C) The length. I feel like it could have gone on and on and on, especially in terms of the development of our MC's mental health issues.
