This is my first review so I'll try my best.
Plot:
If you are familiar with animes like No Game No Life or SAO you will pretty much find this series enjoyable. The general idea is pretty much the same, people get traped inside a world that is related to games. In Log Horizon a huge amount of people get trapped all of suden in a world that perfectly resembles Elder Tale, a game that all of them were playing. The plot is more focused on the general development of the world, the way players change it, than on intense fighting scenes. I can proudly say
...
that the reason I like this story so much is because it moves slow. So 10/10 for the story
Characters:
Well, all characters are pretty well thought. The MC, Shiroe (also named The Villain in Glasses) is the most badass character in the anime and fits perfectly into the story. Maybe he is a little overpower, but it really doesn't matter cause the battles in this anime are not exactly fighten by him. He is exactly the regular mage we find in MMOs, staying behind and killing enemies with huge waves of damage while the tank shelters him.
Bakatsugu - (or Naotsugu if you prefer) is the regular tank who is ready to sacrifice his EXP points for party's sake. He is Shiroe's friend and a training dummy for Akatsuki who hits him every time he says something about panties and breasts. He is pretty funny, and a fellow perv.
Akatsuki - I have one word to describe her... loli! One nice hell of a loli, a perfect combination between shyness and courage. She is the classic rogue player, sneaking behind the enemies and decimating them with poweful abilities.
Nyanta - Well, a cat... and a gentleman... and a little girl felt in love with him... the regular 40 years old MMO player.
Have you noticed that I used the words regular and classic to describe every character... nope, I wasn't missing inspiration... they all are normal people trapped in a world they don't belong into, trying to raise their weapons against enemies that keep coming, trying to return in their world.
So 10/10 for characters.
Art and Sound
The opening and the ending were pretty good, I still try to figure out the ending true meaning. Kinda hard. Except from this two songs that were good, I didn't find anything else to enjoy... the average soundtrack.
The art was normal I guess... I neither liked nor dislike it.
So 8/10 for them both.
Enjoyment :
It was really funny with all the jokes between characters. The way Akatsuki kicks/slaps/hits Bakatsugu and after that asks Shiroe if she was allowed to do it. Also the interesting way other characters acts toward each other... such funny pairs are Krusty - Lenessia (Maybe some romance in the next season), Marielle - Bakatsugu and Henrietta - Akatsuki.
So 10/10.
Overall :
It was nicely done. The story was slow with complex development for the world and characters, kinda reminds me of Spice and Wolf at some points. If you enjoy a lot of talking without too much action I totally recommend it to you.
9/10
