What is morality? How can we decide what is wrong and what is right? Well Koi Kaze is an anime that make us face two "tabooes" or two polemic questions. The first one is about the difference in age of a couple and the second one is about love between brothers/sisters (incest).
Before saying anything more I should clarify that the age of consent in Japan is 13 years old, so anything that happens here is legal.
About the story (10/10)
We live in a society where love between brothers/sisters is a "no way choice" because moral laws says that, but really who can determinate
...
this laws? For example: God is good, Devil is bad. This religious morality ony works if you believe in God, so then if you don't believe in it you're inmoral...
If we should put in words, we would say that morality depends on every person and it's not atached to the legal matter, so we can't say that something is inmoral beacause is illegal.
What happens with this anime is that the difference on age of the couple is big and for a lot of Country (including my own) is illegal because she is underage. Any way, that doesn't mean that is inmoral.
The Story is one of the best Slice of Life I saw. It combines a lot of situations of day living without exagerating things, as if were a real Story.
The Art (7/10) is not really good. Draws looks like they were made on 1998 or so. The background is static all the time and feels like the characters were actor in front of a green screen.
The Sound (9/10) is actually really good, the music goes very well with the actions of the characters, expressing feeling or emotions and make a nice ambience. The only critic that I can make is that some voices sounded low.
The characters (10/10) are excellent. A friend weirdo, a "don't worry, I got you", parents who gets paranoid when their kids don't call him at night, adult characters who don't how to express what they feel, kids who want to be adults and kids at the same time, etc. A good combination for a Slice of Life.
I really enjoyed it (10/10) on every chapter. There were no "filling episodes" and the story soon ended (it's 13 episodes long). Also, it gives a interesting critic to the living of the Japanese Society (like avoid talking with sloppy people, realationship between blood family specifically, etc).
Overall (9/10) is great but the Art could be better.
