Top villainess manga, stop. Really interesting both in the art department and the plot, the characters and world design. It greatly explores the actual consecuences that the usual Heroine-Villainess relationship and development would have in both the psyche of the villainess, the heroine and all those around them.

The ML is not exactly a yandere, but he's not merciful either. The iconic relationship between the Hero, the Villain and the Monster are alluded time and time again, each time exposing it from the perspective of a different character, and the protagonist, the antagonist and the monster have a very good number of chapters to discuss things ... amongst them.

Really a gust of fresh air in a genre populated by clones differenciated by very small details. If I had to recommend something similar, It'd be "The Person in a Villainess". Very different in plot but also astounding in both art and worldbuilding.

TLDR: Top Villainess manga. Very few works of this genre reach the heights this one does.

This is a TOP villainess manga, no doubt. I did thought of writing this review as early as 7 chapters because the pace is quite fast and I doubt it's going to be a long series. Totally recommended tho. Let's get into it.

I have read dozens upon dozens of them villainess stories, including manha, and very rarely have I been this surprised. The starting premise has a pretty unusual twist; the story starts (literally first chapter) ith the villainess regaining control over her real body after watching the isekai'd protagonist trying to live in her place earnestly and failing. Then she swears revenge on ... those who betrayed the isekai'd girl, after being moved by her efforts bright disposition.

I thought well, I haven't seen that before, let's give it a try. By the fifth chapter I as amazed. There's a mix of action, intrige and what could be seen as out of place in similar stories: it goes hard on mithology, amazing monster and worldbuilding design, and by the 6th chapter the art quality has gone through the roof.

The MC has a likeable and goal-driven disposition, and the secondary characters fulfill their roles nicely. The art is top, as I have mentioned, the author doing an amazing inking and outlining work, specially after chapter 4, and the underlying lore of the world it's pretty original and imaginative. I can see that both author and artist are fans of dark fantasy stories.

As I said, I think this will not be a very long manga, maybe 24 chapters at this pace, but It still has plenty of material to develop into, I really recommend it to those fans of the genre who are bored of the repetitive storylines or carbon copied settings; those fans of high fantasy stories will be satisfied too if they read after the first two or three chapters. Just give it a try.

Rating it with a 7 (Good stuff) for now, but looking to the 8, maybe 9 if the author reaches the level of "Eden" again this time. Far-future story with lots of blood and merciless treatment of the characters, this work has many similarities with the main manga of the Author, the aforementioned Eden. No spoilers ahead.

We follow Shinta Aeler, a hybrid between two human species, separated by time. After a certainly tragic event, he embarks on a trip of revenge, and his simple motivation and worldview will be challenged several times on the first few chapters. In spite of the gore and all the ... killing, it follows quite the straight shonen formula: He meets new people, learns of different moralities and habilities, including those of his enemies and trains to get stronger. I'd say it follows the shonen tropes A LOT more than Eden, which was a fully adult manga. I suspect this may have to be with the limited reach his previous works have got while being so good. Shonen sells, and good shonen sells even more. It's possible this will become pretty famous in a couple of years.

The art is amazing, as Hiroki Endo's art is. It's got someting of a space opera in this, remembrances of Nausicaa or Five Star Stories. You know, the "frontier world of an interestelar empire" aesthetic, like we can see on those two mangas, the Mandalorian or Knight Run (Amazing space opera, by the way, for those interested).

For now, it's still a bit too shonen for me, but I'll be following it. Worth to follow.

This is one of those manga I wanted to like, but just couldn't. No spoilers ahead. The initial concept seemed interesting, a human necromancer gets expelled from the hero's party and goes on to work with the demons. Could have been nice if it explored some of the obvious dilemmas of working with the enemies of humanity, or the cultural differences between human and demon, demon society or many other potential things. All these are mostly just touched upon and then mostly forgotten, or totally inconsecuential to both characters and story.

It's just... everything is so basic. It's got all the package, demons that are ... just salarymen in suits with horns and wings, titty demons, bland, superficial characters in an empty story.

I can't recommend it. There are way better isekai out there. For another isekai about necromancers that's not that terrible, you could try "Yondome wa Iya na Shizokusei Majutsushi".

Many will feel me when I say that as an avid isekai reader, I'm used to read straight up trash. I was pleasantly surprised by this one tho.

Those addicted to the genre will probably have read many manga with a "crafter" Main Character (MC), or other non combatant professions. Veterinarians, smiths, appraisers, builders, cooks, everything has been done already. This one is amongst those, but at this point (Chapter 9) it's still quite refreshing.

The MC is neither stupid nor naive, and shows both human dignity and compassion while working to improve the lives of the people around without being a pushover. Also, no ... overly luscious women lusting for him just because. The art is nice too, the few action scenes until now were nice and (very important) you could actually see what was happening, no "big booms and flashes with mass destruction and let's go to the next pinup" that many isekais have us accustomed to.

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and continue reading it, and I think it's vastly superior to other titles with way better rating. Give it a chance if you like mangas about technological improvement of the middle ages.

One of the worst Villainess manga I've read, and I've read dozens of them. No spoilers ahead.

The story had some potential at the beginning, but was mostly predictable. That in itself can be overlooked if the chemistry between the Female Lead (FL) and the Male Lead (ML) is good enough, the secondary characters are charismatic enough, or the intrigue is thrilling enough, or preferably all of them at the same time.

That's not the case here. The quality went down really, really fast after the first arc of the story (How she contended with the "original heroine" (Which, by the way, had a nice ... and uncommon twist at the end of it) but it just didn't go up after that, it was a downright spiral to the abyss of forgettable stories.

Seriously, do not read. If you are missing some of your sweet, sweet villainess dose, try "Akuyaku Reijou desu ga, Shiawase ni Natte Misemasu wa!: Anthology Comic", "Mochiron, Isharyou Seikyuu Itashimasu!" or "Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku."

TL;DR: Oof. Do not try for your own good.

Tales of an axed manga: Elf season.

This series had so much potential in the beginning. An atypical MC (A futanari, even) who's half the way to being a villain, an interesting high fantasy setting centered about a magic-like card game with the main characters being equivalent to "Planeswalkers". The summoned creatures were distinct in design and character, the art wasn't bad and the story seemed to have some prospects.

Still, it's been clearly cancelled. Probably because the other work of the authors, a cooking isekai with elves, is still somewhat popular. The first detailed conflict was actually the last, and everything is resolved in ... a couple of chapters, very rushed. You can still see they have talent, so I expect some decent work from them in the future.

It's a shame, but it's not worth reading in my opinion.

First thing, this is, in my opinion, one of the best romance isekai manwhas around. The MC get's reincarnated as Raeliana, a character of a romance novel she read in the past. This character died soon in the novel, so she has to find a way to survive. This is nothing too original, but it is very well developed in this work.

If I give it a 7 is because I consider the word used to describe a 7 (Good) as appropiate for this work comparing it with other works. Still, it's very difficult to find a "princess romance manwha" as well thought as this one. ...

This was actually my first romance manwha, and opened the genre to me. It is worth the read if you like complex but cheesy stories. Now into it.

Story: 7 (Good)
Most of it revolves around romance and political maneouvring. As the MC doesn't have special powers or insane skills (Like in the Lady of the Lamp, for example), the author dedicates a good part of the story to the plots of the MCs and the villains and does a good job at it. Fans of palatial intrigue will like this story.

The "fake marriage" of the Main Characters and how it evolves from fake to real is funny and sweet, and once true romance is established it doesn't lose the interest; it keeps evolving as the story progresses.

The first part comprehends the efforts that Raeliana has to make to survive, and the establishment of the romantic relationship. By the point this review was written (Chapter 132) we seem to be entering the actual main plot of the story, the relation between the MC and the villain and why and how she was isekai'd.

The story is well thought, and most recurrent villains don't act straight stupid like in other manwhas. People concerned with the writing will find it appealing.

Art: 8 (Very Good)

The art is well done and detailed, specially the dresses. It doesn't go godlike (Like in "Your summon") but it's pretty and pleasing to see, and extremely appropiate to the late 18th or 19th century feel the story conveys. It also improved as the series continued. There's not much to criticise. Good stuff.

Character: 7 (Good)

To be honest, most characters are straight up likable or hateful, and most of the main ones are pretty well constructed. The MC is smart and strong, although for some time she was too fixated with the "original story" before she was Isekai'd and it can get a little bit frustrating at some points. As a MC Raeliana is a very good character tho, better than most.

The Male Lead, the Duke, is a smart as well, stoic, strict but just, kind in private, and (obviously) he ends up liking Raeliana. He is an atractive and competent Male Lead, cut a bit above the ones in many other romances.

There are memorable secondary characters and villains around, as well.

Enjoyment: 7 (Good)

I read all of the available chapters in one go, some 6 or 7 months ago. The mysteries and conspiracies keep you hooked, as well as the desire for things to go well for both MCs and seeing the romance flourish. Things don't always go well for the MCs and the villains are competent, so the suspense becomes real.

Overall: 7 (Good)

High quality webtoon and, as I said before, one of the best balanced palatial romance stories around. Enjoyable if you like romance and intrigue.

As recommendations, other good romance isekais would be "The Lady of the Lamp", "Survive as the Hero's Wife", "This is an obvious fraudulent marriage" and "Iris, The Lady with a Smartphone".

At first, I thought that this would be the typical fantasy manga with some palace intrigue and classical romance plot (I mean, even the countries are named after single letters), but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a GOOD politica manga.

First the story. I'm surprised by how many things have happened in the 10 chapters I've been able to find. Chapters are long and straight to the point. Character's actions have serious consecuences, and there are no lore dumps in the middle of it. Flashbacks resolved in one chapter, rarely more. Good rythm and exposition, what happens and why it's pretty clear. Don't expect much ... physical action tho, it's all conspiracy. Until now, at least.

About the art, it's somewhat basic for manga nowadays. It's mainly realistic, avoiding crazy hairs and dresses. It goes for the purely historical feel. Backgrounds are detailed, the drawing is clean and dynamic. Not much to say here. You won't be surprised nor disgusted. It's functional for the story they're telling.

Characters are well constructed. ALL of them flawed. You won't find OP main characters with saint-ish personalities here. Everybody watches and fears everybody else to certain point. The main characters, Aruna and the Prince, have both good and bad character traits and a nice relationship, and secondary characters are instantly recognizable. For such a restrained and "realistic" art, character design is plenty varied.

About the enjoyment, I'd give it an 8. I wanted to read some serious political - court intrigue manga and I was looking for something new. This is a good finding, if you like that kind of thing. I really want to read more about this story, but updates seem to take long. I'll keep an eye on it tho.

Overall I'd give it a 7 (Good, meaning GOOD), although I've thought of the 8. Had some doubts, I'll need to read some more to decide.

As recommendation (Not on this site), there are some manhua and manwha with similar themes (The fight amongst the queens, the court is a lethal game), like "Surviving as the Hero's wife" and "The lady with the Lamp". Shounen oujo is somewhat similar as well.

Pretty standard low quality Isekai harem manga, with at least some full nudes one every two chapters. I started reading it because I was interested in the management part of the story but, to be honest, the writer doesn't make the most of the setting, not by a long shot. No spoilers ahead (Not that there's much to spoil anyway).

About the Story, there's two main, really serious flaws. First, the MC doesn't have any kind of personality, he just have ideas, but it's basically a reflection of the writer or a power fantasy receptacle. Second, the waifus don't have distinct personalities neither, apart from the ... two first of them. At the beginning they were fairly different, but by chapter 10 they do mostly the same role in the story. The others don't ammount to much neither.

We are introduced to the tower fairly soon, we get a quite straightforward explanation on how does it work, and then.. it's waifu time! The story doesn't have any real conflict, the main character do not find adversity or difficulties to implement any of his ideas to manage the tower, and the plot basically goes from one waifu to the next, introducing insanely hot female character that lust incontrolably after the main character because reasons, then the MC gets all bashful (Not that he's sleeping with a couple of them already, every new woman get's him all blushed) and they go live in the tower, rinse and repeat.

About the art, it's good. It's obvious that the artists worked hentai before. Also there's literal sex scenes in the manga, it's not subtle at all. Had to restrain from wanking one out a couple of times. Still, it's not amazing, combat scenes are fairly simple, you won't stare at the vignettes for long.

Characters, as mentioned, are pretty bland. There's none worth remembering.

In short, I was expecting at least a little bit more than this. I've read dozens of Isekais at this point, and this one is just not worth it, there's no drama, no mistery or no pleasure to it.

If you want to read something similar that's not pure garbage you could try Realist Hero, Realist Maou or Dungeon Builder.
