When reading the description of this manga, I was curious but also worried that I would be reading something far too edgy to take seriously. I was pleasantly surprised that the story had a mature, fleshed out take on the topics discussed. I ended up hooked and binge read this in one sitting. I was near tears at some of the low points (although I am admittedly an emotional sucker for most plots similar to this, like the opening to the Kotoura-san anime).
A few warnings: this story isn't for the faint of heart. It doesn't shy away from the topics it discusses, which include bullying,
...
self-harm, suicidal thoughts, suicide, assault, and rape. While it generally takes these topics seriously they can become pretty graphic. If these are sensitive topics for you, then I recommend that you pass on this one for now.
Also, the art in this series can be pretty damn good in its shining moments. I don't want to spoil anything, but some of the expressions on the characters can be intense.
Overall, I ended up really getting into this one. Maybe it felt a teeny bit dramatic at times but I still read it to the end and enjoyed it a lot.
