ו dropped it, but it is not horrible.
The thing is this: I don't feel like it bring anything exciting to the table. Everthing is solved to easily with OP or some magic solution, I don't really feel any remarkable development in the character... The bad guy at the end was... well, I won't spoil you.
She's afriad of becming something there's z zero clue she's going to become and everyone around her is puzzled.
I could continue with it just for the sake of it, but I don't feel like I get any added value, so... that's it,
And I know what you say "8 is
...
high" for me not so much. And Again it's not unwatchable but not something I would really wait for.

This anime grabbed my attention from season 1. But this... this was above all the excpecation I ever had for this series, or any series. It should get and 11/10.
Anticipation: To be honest, I wasn't too thrilled after the first episode. But later I realized it was a jam on its own. And it was the beginning The surprises came one after the other, you thought you saw everything but no, they come up with a new thing to blow your mind once again. I love this non sense. Don't you want more of such things? Also, the stakes never were as high.
Plot: Not only
...
they brought new stuff which we didn't know of before, but also took existsing characters and light them in another shade with new information we never knew of. They manage to combine the new and the old into this new season, to creat something we never experienced before. Not just antoher funny moment of Chuuya and Dazai (which I love, don't get me wrong), but so much more.
Characters: Well, the focus changed a lot during this season. Dazai is almost completely gone (and I am happy every moment he was there), and even Atushi didn't get as much screen time as past seasons. I don't feel like this season added a lot to his character, unless previous seasons. The remaining members, other than Kyoya, had more attention, especially a certain someone (no spoiler). Also, another character we knew so well, suddenly needs to face itself the way the never did before, but it wasn't explored much. The mafia also didn't get a lot of spot light, but when they did... they never stopped impressing you. We also meet some totally new characters, most of them from two new orgenizations.
Prequal episodes: Starting from season 2, the anime brought preual episodes. In season 2 we met Oda and season 3 we saw the first encounter of Dazai and Chuuya. This time, Dazai was abesent and was replaces with Fukuzawa and Rampo something like 10 years befoer the main plot (I think). We got a glimpse througt this for the about to come in a way, but I think the new beauty of it was showing those two characters who, again, don't get a lot attention.
As for visyal styke, I'm not sure it's much differet then previous seasons, so... not much about it.
Hope it was helplfu and thanks for reasing this long stuffl :)

Why people hate this so much...? Once again, here I am to come to the rescue of not so loved anime.
Art + Sound:
Let's be real, I have close to zero interest in both in whatever anime. This as it is won't change the rating. I think the animation was a bit rough for the male characters, but that's it.
Characters:
I don't really have an idea why they chose unnatural beings (vampire, elf, homunculus, and dwarf) to be part of the Speical 7. It is hardly in use. But let's pretend. Sure, the dragons are necessary to the plot.
Seiji Nanatsuki (Rookie) is the high spirited naive character,
...
who... well can't continue to be naive forever right?
Shiori Ichinose (Charisma) is kept quiet in the dark most of the time. We have a hard time to learn about his characters, especially with Nijo's remark.
The other members of Special 7 get less spotlight, and for that reason, less development. I know they are called main in this site, but I feel they are minor.
And Warlock... well... a classic annoying villain. Quite a flat character, kind of "Disney" villain, but who said villain always have complicated motives?
Story:
In the beginning, it's nice to see how Nanatsuki is getting along with his new job as well as there is an interest in everything revolving the dragons. And of course THE mystery of the anime. Later, we get a more serious side of all our characters.
Enjoyment:
There was an episode that felt a bit useless, but in general, it was really fun to watch.

Well, after all the negative reviews... I felt like giving contra.
Story: I'll admit... when it comes to rugby... I have zero knowledge. But rather than enjoying the game, I prefer to look at the interactions of the characters. So it may not be most accurate when it comes to rugby (I really have no idea), but if you come to watch a sports anime for the general atmosphere rather than the actual game, it may remind other sports anime. If you don't like this kind of animes to begin with... you maybe look in the wrong place.
Art: Well, I'm not the first to care about
...
arts, but as a josei, this reminds more of a shoujo anime than a shonen. Not that I mind.
Sound: No special thoughts.
Characters: Though in a way, our characters were quite stereotypical for anime sport, when coming next to each other they make a nice combination
Enjoyment: As cliche as it is, I love this kind of animes, even if they can be predictable. I watched it as I looked for a relaxed anime rather than overwhelming anime. So... I guess it was good for me.
Perfect anime? No. Unique anime? Probably not too. Will you miss something by skipping it? Maybe not, but if you look for a nice relaxed show, why won't you give it a try?

I know what you say: 8 is high. Not in my standard.
This anime got a lot of praises, and if you ask my TOO MUCH praises.
It's fine anime, but it can be difficult to continue after stopping. That's never a good sign. All the ruckus? In my opinion, totally not justified.
I don't know much about ice skating, but... despite talking about world champions, they talked about the most known jumps. But they never explained them, as of course, everyone knows what every jump means, right? :/ And well, the excitement isn't as much as it's not real... but I must say, other anime
...
sports gave me more thrill in that aspect.
Yuuri (the Japanese guy) got on my nerves more than once. And the legendary 27 years old skater acted like a 10 years old.
The relationship was nice and nothing more. But in my opinion... I could live without it. I wasn't fancy of them as a couple, or even friends. Or as individuals... The other characters were diverse. Some I liked more and some less, but they felt realistic. Kind of realistic.
I'm not sure what your anticipations are... but don't hope for too much.
And yeah, it's an unpopular opinion. Bare with me.

As weird as it may sound... I don't love alcohol, but still found this enjoying. So, if you are not fond of alcohol (or have an interest just in one type), it doesn't mean you can't watch this one. All of these categories got 9.
Story
Well, there isn't really a story. Each episode stands on its own. Sometimes previous characters become storytellers, but you can watch them in any order (except for the last one). So don't expect some special development.
Each story of its own has its uniqueness. It combines elements of life with alcohol. You can believe it's really idiotic at the end of the
...
day, but they made it beautifully in the anime.
Art
Ummm... Nothing special for both sides.
Sound
Some soundtracks were nice, I guess... I didn't like the opening.
Characters
Each character has his\her own special characteristic, past and status, as well as their special problem, needs to be solved.
The character you see most is... you guessed it right, the bartender, Ryuu. In a way, he's like a magician. He has a solution for everything, he can guess everything. But we also get the idea that it wasn't always this way. He reads people so easily it's scary, but it has some beauty in it. Who never wished he could just tell things about people by looking at them?
Enjoyment
Well, as you might remember, in the end, it's an anime that has close to zero relations between episodes, so it's pretty soothing. You don't need to rush anywhere, you're never about "What's going to be in the next episode, I really wanna know!", which makes it pretty relaxing. It doesn't fill you with strong emotions like many media try to, but it does inflect you with emotions, but the nice side of them.
Despite having nothing with alcohol in real life, it was nice to hear the story of many different kinds. Not something I'll remember, but hey, it's interesting for that moment.
And... a surprise at the end of each episode.

Okay, it's pretty hard to review one episode, but let's still try.
Was it worth the wait? The answer is surely yes. Except for an interesting story of its own, it also gives background to the manwha (Later on they mention it, but not much. Guess they thought this one is enough). Things that aren't really explained suddenly get clearer. Unforunately, there are some question marks.
We didn't learn much about Rai (Except for how he got to the 820 years sleep), but we surely learned a lot about Muzaka and the reason for why all the story in the manwha actually started.
As I already said,
...
one might still ask himself\herself a lot if he\she didn't read the manwha, but it's clearly can be seen as ova on itself and nothing more.
Okay. now let's focus on the ova of its own:
---------------------------------------------------------
The story was set clear but pretty depended on the fact that those who watched it already know the plot of the manwha, a disadvantage in my opinion. Sure, it helped to decrease the time needed for an explanation, but still.
The relationships among the characters were shown very clearly, and even if you see it for the first time, there's no question about it.
It was interesting to watch, though it was a bit excepted (though I think that even those who didn't read the manwha may agree with me). But there were some new facts, that even for those who read, can be still interesting.
I know the review sucks, but I really recommend it. I just don't know to explain myself to well. :(

Shortly: I really recommend it. I watched it 3 times.
Okay, I admit. First time I watched It I found it a bit boring at first, but when I got into it, it was difficult to stop. So don't give up so easily (especially not after the 2nd episode, which can make one maybe drop the anime).
In the end, the anime is filled with action, moral questions, humor and more. So, not just useless fights or philosophy.
The characters all differ from one another (and some of them are a bit strange, but that's not so unusual for animes). It adds a lot as if all
...
were relaxed or hot-tempered, we'd get nowhere, things would start to repeat themselves.
As you can see in a lot of animes about Ancient History or Middle Ages, those who are responsible for everything are men. It's easy to see here the sentence "behind every great man there stands a woman". But they don't just stand there. They shade the men's advantage. They're not just another minor character without a personality, but they succeed, each of her own way, to be strong, brave and a leader.
I really like the animation, though white hair looks a bit off for someone who in overall doesn't look too old.

When I thought about beginning this anime, I was unsure about it. If you ask me now, my instincts were right.
I don't say it's the most horrible anime I've ever seen, There are some animes that really got from me much lower points, but for me to give 7 to an anime is pretty uncommon.
Why? The story itself was interesting in a way, but in a certain point, I hardly cared what is going to happen. I didn't get much excited from the cliché moments. It felt more like a way to spend time, especially in the beginning.
About the art, I must say, it
...
wasn't horrible, but these things don't really interest me from the beginning. I'm from those who can watch animes drawn by hand. But Rem's shoes just annoyed me.
About the sound. Except for the first line of the ending, I couldn't find myself loving both opening and ending. I admit, I don't listen to ost much. But in each episode, there's a song (In the first or second one there are even two!) To say I'm going to listen to them ever again... Hell, no. I didn't love them at all. They didn't sound good at all and were pathetic, they could just say it with words. I watched anime about singers, and most of the time they sing in a certain context, as stupid as it is. But I also love musicals, so that for itself should not be the problem, I was excited by the idea of "musical anime" but that's until listening to the songs themselves.
Most characters were pretty boring, and sometimes I found the not so important Azuna more interesting then Rem or Ritsuka. Isn't it sad?
About enjoyment... As I said, it was more like making time pass by than really enjoying. Why did I watch it to the end? I'm not sure myself.
Shortly, the anime felt pointless, Not horrible that I so regret watching that every time I'll think of it I'll get irritated (There are some animes like that), but surely not one I'll watch again or recommend.

If you're looking for a simple manga without any unnecessary complications, look somewhere else.
Plot (8)
When you read the synopsis first, you may think it's pretty simple, but it totally complicated. The story focuses on the dark side of life: Death, orphanhood, lonliness, crimes and more. You will see unmoral actions (which will influence some of the characters. Even a character who doesn't look hurmful at the beginning, may reveal its darker side).
The story in the beginning pulls to certain direction, and as it goes on, the relationships are changing as well as the feeling of the characters (and even their mental condition).
Characters (8)
In one word:
...
tragic. Most of the characters lost someone who is important to them. You can see the first death in the very first chapter! The death in each of the character's life is going to change their lives forever. There are also the charcters who were unfortunate from an early stage of their lives. The charcters can make you angry and also make you sympathize with them.
Most of the characters go through a change in a certain point, and this will be a point of no return (they will never be as they were before).
Art (9)
There are better, but it's really really good.
Enjoyment (8)
I enjoyed, but in certain points it started to be confusing and really irritating (but maybe the things that made me angry, will make others happy. It's very individual)
