THE PINNACLE OF ISEKAI THAT REDEFINES THE BOUNDARIES OF THE FANTASY GENRE!


You're probably already tired of knowing that Mushoku Tensei is an isekai and that, nowadays, the isekai genre has become the most saturated of all. I myself underestimated Mushoku Tensei because it was an isekai and today I bitterly regret having taken so long to read it. Mushoku Tensei is a superlatively beautiful masterpiece and I'll tell you why I think so. I've written this humble review and ... it doesn't contain any spoilers that might detract from your reading. I hope you enjoy it!


Story (10): Mushoku Tensei is a high-quality book that explores serious themes of second chances/redemption and coming of age. The protagonist is not an inherent saint or hero. He is a totally despicable person and this is a story about his attempt to be better in his new life. Is he going to magically become a different person overnight? No, he will evolve over the course of the story. The story itself is fascinating and the writing that accompanies it makes for a phenomenal long-running series. Anything can happen in this new world in which he has been reincarnated, there are risks, twists and constant oppositions. I take my hat off to Rifujin na Magonote for creating the most epic story of self-discovery and second chances ever.


Mushoku Tensei has several strong points. In particular, I think the work's strongest point is its characters. You feel that in Mushoku Tensei they are really human, because you will always see characters with flaws, who make mistakes and learn from them, who are not overpowers or perfect, but characters with layers, with depth and who, despite all their personality problems or mistakes they make, are still interesting characters. Everyone is unique and well-written, each has their own concerns and goals, they follow their own story and that's why the goodbyes are so impactful. It's surreal how many characters I liked in this book. They don't depend entirely on the MC to be important or to grow. The interactions they have with each other are simply perfect.


Another thing worth praising about Mushoku Tensei is its incredible worldbuilding process. Mushoku Tensei has the best worldbuilding process I've ever seen in a story. There's magic, knights, different species of intelligent creatures with cultural diversity, guilds, adventurers and everything reminiscent of a good MMORPG. Only by reading the Light Novel will you realize the absurd care and affection the author has taken in building the world, and the way the various territories affect the characters is masterfully crafted. The powerscaling is very well balanced. All the characters have weaknesses and understand that they can't win everything on their own. All of this makes the story much more exciting to read.


Another notable aspect of Mushoku Tensei is the way the romances develop. Unlike many other works, here the couples in the story seem like real couples. They have couple scenes, clearly show their affection for each other and face challenges together. The author always shows the povs and monologues of both main characters to justify their actions, which adds a genuine emotional dimension to the narrative. The series also manages to skillfully balance drama, comedy and action. The emotional moments are very well executed and often intertwined with hilarious ones, making for a diverse and captivating experience.


Art (10): Honestly speaking, Mushoku Tensei has the most beautiful art style I've ever seen in a light novel. The designer, Shirotaka, exuded a spectacular artistic style throughout the work and managed to successfully portray all the characters' emotions in the illustrations. The covers he gave to each of the 26 volumes are so well detailed that they impress and leave you spellbound.


Pleasure - (10): This was the most sublime and pleasurable story I've ever read in my life, I'm sure I'll never forget it. It resonated deeply in my core. The gift I received of being born in the same century as Rifujin and Shirotaka is of immeasurable value.


Overall rating - (10): In short, Mushoku Tensei is a fabulous work of art that will give you a divine experience. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable fantasy story that's totally out of the box, who has a fantastic worldbuilding process, incredibly striking characters, charismatic and extremely well-developed.

Before you start reading this Light Novel, I strongly recommend that you schedule your appointment with the endocrinologist. Because honestly speaking, this work is extremely sweet, once you start reading it, it will be very difficult not to get diabetes. But if you already have diabetes, I feel sorry for you.


Story (10): This is a gorgeous and very purifying novel, so I humbly ask that you enjoy it and show appreciation for each chapter you read. I'm sure he will purge all the impurities contained in his soul. Seriously, I feel like I'm a new man after I started reading this book. Every fiber of ... my core rejoices when I remember that there are still treasures like this in this horrible world.

I personally find it incredible that some people come into our lives and manage to change our entire way of living in a very short space of time. This light novel portrays this reality in an exceptional way. Regarding the novel, I would say that it has a perfect rhythm within Japanese culture. The main characters in this story are absurdly well developed. I'm currently on volume 7 and I can't really say that they are the same characters I saw in volume 1. (They have matured a lot and become much stronger, both physically and mentally). Adolescence is a phase of maturation: it is a period of transition in physical and psychological development, in which human beings stop being children and enter adulthood. The cultural purpose of adolescence is to prepare a person to assume the role of an adult. It does not need to be characterized as problematic, but rather as a period marked by significant changes in the biosocial, cognitive and sociocultural spheres. At this stage, moments of difficulty, confusion and irritation usually appear, as well as states of sadness, anger and anguish. However, these same changes also produce excitement, challenges and growth. In other words, this is a period of opportunities and risks. Saeki-san is a highly talented writer and never fails to impress me with her fabulous writing. She always addresses these and many other types of themes in a brilliant and totally engaging way in her book. She certainly deserved to have much more recognition around the world!


Characters (10): The main characters are incredibly endearing and human. The chemistry that the main couple has is absolutely wonderful. And the way they interact with each other is very cute and hilarious. Even the secondary characters are very likable. You will hardly be able to hate any character in this work.


Art (10): This Light Novel has one of the best art styles I've ever seen in my life. I couldn't help it and saved almost all of her illustrations on my PC. Designer Hanekoto managed to successfully portray almost all of the characters' emotions. It was also very detailed. I loved. (I would also like to give an honorable mention to Kazutake who only illustrated volume 1, he did an excellent job too)


Pleasure - (10): I discovered this attractive work from the anime and when I discovered that it had a light novel with volumes that had not yet been adapted I immediately went after it and today I am one of the biggest fans of the work :3



Overall rating - 10/10, If you're looking for a light, sweet, fun novel with well-developed characters, I highly recommend giving this book a chance. You definitely won't regret reading it.

A-1 Pictures has already started the year with a bang. They're bringing us Mashle and Solo Leveling and they both have amazing animations! I'm really loving this second season of Mashle much more than the first, it's incredibly fun. The opening is a banger and the ending is crazy stylish.

Animation/Art - The character designs in Mashle S2 are still as beautiful and impeccable as in the first season. Producing a busy anime with this high level of detail in the characters is a lot of work, which is definitely worth praising. Congratulations to Mashle's production team.

Overall rating - If you're looking for a light show ... with a good story, a great soundtrack and characters that make you laugh a lot I highly recommend you watch this series.

This anime is pure CINEMA. I waited a long time for this anime and it surprised me in an incredible way. Both the art and animation are incredibly beautiful and solid, the cinematography is insane. The direction behind each episode is extraordinary. The first episode is extremely exciting, remarkable and fun. I can safely say that it has one of the best first episodes of all time. This is a zombie comedy that uses the apocalypse in a brilliant way to show you how exploration affects you and how people steal your dreams and passions. A very entertaining masterpiece that inspires you to free yourself ... from these influences so you can enjoy your life to the fullest. Memento mori!

Man, it's been 25 weeks of pure pleasure and insanity. I've always been a huge horror and supernatural enthusiast. Consequently, I felt like there was a lack of a genuinely macabre anime like Dark Gathering. I begged so much that my prayers were answered. I love how scary, unique and cool this anime is. I really didn't expect it to be so good and not have any bad episodes, it's crazy. He proves to you masterfully that you don't need beautiful animation to make a good anime, there were 25 episodes full of risks and increasing tensions. My Sundays will definitely never be the same ... without Dark Gathering. Now I can only hope for the announcement of the second season.

A gripping and masterfully crafted supernatural thriller/mystery, the perfect gateway to Chinese cinema.

Of all the different animes with the element of time travel that I've seen, this is certainly one of the most unique ones out there. Its mix of drama and suspense gives the show exactly the same vibe as the undisputed king of the genre: "Steins;Gate".

Both the opening and ending are divine and that's absurd because the first season also had perfect op and ed, I'm always impressed with the production team of this anime because they don't miss absolutely anything, it's practically impossible to say that anything something was badly done in ... the anime and I'm not even exaggerating, I could write thousands of good things about the anime here but I'll leave the rest for you to have the pleasure of discovering and savoring this wonderful work!

Solo Leveling is without a doubt one of the best works I've read in all these years.

History - 10
In terms of the story idea, it's pretty generic. But the way Solo Leveling transforms such a generic idea into a masterpiece is what gives it this rating. Initially, it's not that easy to understand the concept, but the more you read, the more you slowly become addicted to the story then quickly without even realizing it you ... start to understand everything. (Anyone who has played a game with dungeons will pick it up easily)
For me, following Sung's growth was the most enjoyable thing about this manhwa, you know he's going to beat his enemies but he does it with so much style that you'll always want to see more.

Art - 10
Without a doubt, the solo has the best and most badass art style I've ever seen in a manga/manhwa, the fact that it has color adds a lot and helps give the imaginary life you need to make the immersion. After reading this work of art I'm sure you'll be dying to see what it will look like when it's finally animated.

Character - 10
Sung is certainly one of the best protagonists of all time, even after becoming practically the strongest immortal god in the universe, at no point did I feel that he lacked humanity. Even the secondary characters are very likable. The development of some was lacking, but the errors here are much smaller than the successes.

Pleasure - 10
I had never finished a work with 201 caps in such a short time, this was really pleasurable and addictive.

Overall rating - 100/10, I highly recommend this work and I can guarantee you won't regret reading it.

This is the first Manhwa Shoujo that wins anime. I wasn't prepared to like this anime, but giving it a chance made me have a good surprise and now I consider myself one of the biggest fans of this work! The anime immerses you in a captivating story of a girl named Raeliana who dies and is reincarnated in the world of a romance book she read while still alive in the real world. In the first episode you think it's going to be just another generic Korean isekai/shoujo but the more you watch, the more you're surprised. As the episodes go by, you begin ... to notice that the main Raeliana character is decisive, intelligent and uses daring manipulation devices, no longer being a 100% generic and good-natured shoujo character. Seriously I loved her. She is super charismatic and has a more mature and controlled personality than most of the protagonists we are used to seeing in anime, in addition to being very cute and stunningly beautiful.

As for the rest of the cast I have nothing to complain about because they are nice, each one has some motive and goal in mind. Noah for example, he's a cute and manipulative character but he's not toxic like most shoujo characters.

The art in this show is incredibly beautiful but the animation leaves a lot to be desired, clearly the responsible studio doesn't have a lot of resources to waste but the direction of the anime is doing very well with what they have and they are delivering us a well-adapted work with OST's fantastic that I will never be able to forget.

Anyway, I highly recommend the anime and hope that my honest review can help you give this wonderful show a chance. This is the first time I dedicate myself to writing something here on the MAL website so I really hope you like it.
