[DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO EITHER HAVEN’T SEEN IT OR ARE STILL WATCHING IT. A SPOILER-FREE TL;DR IS SEEN AT THE END OF THIS REVIEW.]
What does “peak fiction” look like to you? To my knowledge, “peak fiction” isn’t something that is perfect/flawless but rather a part of a memory that will never be forgotten and always has a lot of special features to offer. And let me tell you ladies, gentlemen and weeaboss, I’m here to express how I think Gurren Lagann is considered “peak fiction”. The battle robot anime that was never meant to be deep in the first place but
...
ends up being so because why on earth not? Imaishi being Imaishi turning the impossible into the possible.
The story is portrayed as a journey to fight against the menace that are the beastmen, starting off with two men, “Simon” and “Kamina”, trapped in the underground. Kamina is the man of infinite stupidity who asserts his dominance against those who prove him wrong or stand in his way while Simon is a kind boy who has no real ambitions. One day, Simon discovers a strange object that turns out to be a power key to activate an ancient weapon, which the duo pilots Lagann. Together, Simon and Kamina use their new weapon to fly away with a surprise attack from the surface accompanied by Yoko Littner, a girl with a sniper rifle who wanders around the surface and Boota, a pig mole.
Now that the beastmen war has begun, the sky is blue and the grounds are plain dry just like a desert, Kamina has made his own league called “Team Gurren” by befriending wanderers to fight and take the robots called “gunmen”. They fight against Viral, a shark-type beastman who is very cocky and headstrong. Simon and Kamina struggle… until their mechs combine into the one, and only, “Gurren Lagann”. Both show their sheer power and become more kickass than ever. The team continues to have their membership built. They befriended Kittan, an egotistical jock who leads his sisters for hunting. They befriended Rossiu, a kind boy towards strangers and one of the people who worship gunmen as gods. “Team Gurren” is now “Team Dai-Gurren”.
Unfortunately… Kamina gets himself fatally injured, Simon reacts to that and has lost control of himself while interrupting a GODDAMN volcano. Kamina… is still alive? That’s right! Kamina punches Simon and tells him to man the hell up! Simon gains inspirations from Kamina and combines with him once again, finishing their target off! After that, Kamina dies… With that, Team Dai-Gurren cries and Simon almost loses his emotions, thinking that he “killed” his very own bro. Simon then slaughters more enemy gunmen with the help of Rossiu until he finds Nia, the former princess of a family that causes the beastmen war. With the team welcoming Nia, she develops an intense empathy towards Simon. Thanks to Nia, Simon then becomes a one-man army warrior and leads Team Dai-Gurren for his bro. Simon truly never loses his hope. Simon gives great speeches to his team. Simon still has his bro’s heart. Together, they will defeat the king that goes by the name of “Lordgenome”!
Before that, Viral asks Lordgenome about the history of the beastman war and was thinking if he could explore more about that. Lordgenome says that humans who fight are called “Spiral beings” and develop “Spiral energy” which is developed through human determination. Lordgenome has a motivation he was hiding from the humans. Lordgenome then gives Viral immortality; the kind of immortality that grants you the ability to seek love and develop Spiral power like the Spiral beings. Now, Gurren Lagann (with Simon, Rossiu and Nia) has finally come to take down Lordgenome. Lordgenome begins fighting with them. Lordgenome is so strong that he manages to heavily damage Gurren Lagann… until Simon decimates him with his core drill. Before Lordgenome falls, he mentions that ending the beastmen war is a mistake and explains why. Lordgenome… then falls. Team Dai-Gurren cheers for Simon and Simon is proud of his victory.
7 years later, the team built a city called “Kamina city”. Nia became Simon’s fiancé. Rossiu reactivates Lordgenome and asks him about what his true motivation was. Lordgenome explains that he was once a Spiral being who fights against the true menace called “the Anti-Spirals”. The Anti-Spirals use a fake moon to cause chaos and mayhem to Earth. I wonder where the real moon is. Anyways, speaking of Anti-Spirals, one of their unholy creations called “Muganns” came to terrorize Kamina city and to be honest? They are already terrifying both appearance-wise and behavior-wise. Nia becomes possessed by the Anti-Spiral. Simon puts them to the stop and saves the city… not… Once the Muganns are defeated, they develop fragments that explode. And because of that, the city is ruined, having the citizens blaming Simon for the crime he didn’t even commit.
Rossiu tries to control the people but he has no choice but to put Simon in jail. Simon asks Rossiu for another chance and then Rossiu accepts it. Simon, accompanied by Kinon, stops multiple Muganns grouped with a larger one. They finally destroyed them, although it feels like so much of a hassle. Simon goes back to jail and Rossiu says that Simon no longer shows value… poor bastard… Rossiu has activated the ship to protect citizens called “Arc-Gurren” and Lordgenome mentions that it activates a Spiral energy to keep it from being damaged. Simon and Viral are stuck in jail, with Anti-Spiral Nia appearing and mentioning that any method of saving humanity is “futile”. Yoko comes back from her job to teach students and interrupts Nia’s attack. Yoko then frees Simon and Viral from prison. Viral is now part of Team Dai-Gurren. Simon and Viral develop their dynamics with each other and they are on their way to stop the Muganns.
Simon and Viral combine Gurren Lagann with Arc-Gurren and become “Arc-Gurren Lagann”. Arc-Gurren Lagann is a stronger, bigger version of Gurren Lagann and has a strong punch that can get rid of the biggest Muganns (which actually happens). Simon and Viral go inside the fake moon and surprise surprise, they can use Giga Drill to stop it. Unfortunately, Nia appears again to interrupt. Simon explains to Nia their feelings to each other and Nia remembers. Nia then is forced to head back to the Anti-Spiral. Simon then immediately stops the fake moon and that fake moon is Lordgenome’s flagship, “Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren”. After the Earth is saved, Team Dai-Gurren heads back. Rossiu visits his former underground home and commits suicide there. That is until Simon comes and prevents Rossiu from doing so. Rossiu explains that he tries his best to protect the citizens but he fails to do so. Simon responded that Rossiu is better than what Rossiu thinks. Rossiu becomes happy again and continues to help his co.
Team Dai-Gurren used Spiral power to bring the real moon back and they did. Team Dai-Gurren is ready to fight against the Anti-Spiral. They travel to a dimension where they face more of Anti-Spiral’s creations; those being called “Ashtangas” and they are even scarier than the Muganns. Half of the team fight against those and… they die while saving the others from incoming attacks. Team Dai-Gurren is surrounded by space flood and they are about to drown to death. Simon and Viral then attempt to combine Arc-Gurren Lagann with Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren. However, that is hard to do since it requires a lot of effort. But don’t ya worry, Boota is always at your side. Boota always showed value to the team. Boota always had Spiral power from the beginning. Simon and Viral are almost ready. Kittan has no choice but to sacrifice himself to help his team. Kittan giga drills what’s stopping the team… and dies… Come on Simon! Show the Anti-Spirals what you got!
Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren, fused with Arc-Gurren Lagann, has now become “Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann”! Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann has a lot of punches to pack and puts the Ashtangas to shame. Then there’s the Anti-Spiral, trapping the team with an ability named “Multiverse Labyrinth”. With that, everyone in Team Dai-Gurren is trapped with their dreams… Meanwhile, Nia is punished by the Anti-Spiral mostly because she showed feelings to Simon. Speaking of which, Simon is on a “trip” with a fake Kamina. Both are caught by the police later on. Suddenly, the real Kamina comes and gives back Simon the core drill. Simon then punches the fake Kamina. The real Kamina has always been the symbol of his very own team even after death. Simon gets his Spiral power back all thanks to Kamina and then frees the rest of his team. Team Dai-Gurren is back and rescues Nia. Team Dai-Gurren pushes their limits far beyond and become “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann”!
Before the final battle, Lordgenome apologizes to Nia about his actions. His reason for throwing Nia off is that Nia was the Anti-Spiral’s biggest victim since the very beginning. Now for the final battle… The Anti-Spiral is amazed with how that happened so he goes on to fight with its mech “Granzeboma”. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (shortened to “TTGL” as I go on) and Granzeboma fight! It was intense. The Anti-Spiral goes hard on TTGL while explaining that they were the savior of the universe by transitioning from originally being part of the Spiral race. Granzeboma then performs a final attack against TTGL and TTGL struggles to handle it. However, Lordgenome sacrifices himself to turn Granzeboma’s final attack into a boost for TTGL to power up. TTGL then clashes with Granzeboma and they both explode. Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann comes; Granzeboma strangles it. Arc-Gurren Lagann comes; Granzeboma strangles it. Gurren Lagann comes; Granzeboma strangles it. However, Viral throws Lagann and Lagann performs a final attack ON the Anti-Spiral.
The Anti-Spiral lost, finally admitting that humanity has never been very limited. The universe is saved. Later, Simon and Nia prepared their wedding. They kissed. Everyone cheered. That is until Nia passed away… and Simon didn’t even cry. Viral mentions that again, Nia was the Anti-Spiral victim from the very beginning. Simon is still happy since like Kamina, Nia is still always in his memory. And yeah, I know that the “Zero-to-Hero” thingy is generic and overused so instead, let’s have the show recycle the trope by giving Simon his own category “Zero-to-Hero-to-Zero”, where he goes back to his poorer self. Simon… just vibing while digging in a plain underground… while everyone else has their own enjoyment and life. Gurren Lagann can still move on without him.
tl;dr:
STORY: 100% - A bold yet profound coming-of-age story with sheer epicness to behold. Doesn’t seem too special at first but when it hits, IT BLOWS.
CHARACTERS: 100% - Simon is one of the most based Shounen-like protagonists ever.
ART: 100% - Art is lit. Animation is lit. Character designs are it. Mecha designs are it. Whether it's sheer badassery or weird. Fight scenes are also amazing.
SOUND: 100% - Superb voice acting, especially in the dub (thanks Yuri Lowenthal!) and a very addicting OST. Sorairo Days is stuck in my head.
And that does it. I apologize if this review looks long and clunky though. Judging from what I wrote, it felt more like a summary. Positive feedback and constructive criticism are always welcomed. That said, Gurren Lagann is an unforgettable masterpiece for even non-mecha standards. Yeah, I know some of you may not or don’t like it, and I completely understand. But for me, this is an awesome combination of style and substance. I swear, it’s downright poggers.

I always have mixed feelings with romcom anime. Their use of comedy and writing can be either good like Kaguya-sama or poor like Rent-a-Girlfriend. Those kinds of anime, in my opinion, are in 2 sides: good or bad... then there's Komi-san which surprisingly isn't bad but... at the same time, far from a good one. The last time I watched the first season, I got bored simply because the comedy got stale and the writing felt rather basic. What about the second season? Will my thoughts be different? Well... only one way to find out.
Before I get to the writing quality, I just wanted to
...
talk about the artstyle for a while. The artstyle, while I do really like the visuals surrounding the show (JoJo references lol), didn't click well with me. Character designs look rather shallow just for Komi's looks to stand out and even her looks don't look that great. Why do I come to say this? The eyes. The biggest issue I see is how the eyes look. They're either derpy or look... kind of dead when they look like dots for a living. This ISN'T to say that they LOOK bad, it's just that I'm not fond with the art; with the standout being the visuals surrounding the show from what I've said earlier.
Now let's talk about the writing.
The story of the second season is mostly a gag just like the previous. It starts off with Komi meeting her friends again during winter. The comedy can work when it hits. Sadly, it doesn't. The jokes were repeated just like the first season and has never changed anything. The storyline barely have any progression and would instead focus too much on one main lead. I'll admit, it was funny at first and can have the potential to better but after I keep watching, it reverts back to its problematic state.
Despite the characters having nice personalities, they felt short when breaking to a deeper level. The characters, like the story, barely have any growth for the majority of the show and would rather act like plot devices. They're just weird. Now the thing is: What is the best way for Komi's character to... you know? Grow? The answer: spoon-feeding. The story sees Komi as an angel; the characters see her as their goddamn goddess and would probably make a religion out of her. The dynamics between Komi and Tadano just didn't hit. Apart from Tadano falling in love with Komi for a living, there isn't much to explore between their relationships. The cast tried too hard to be either compelling or funny but instead, barely have any consistencies in exchange for one awkward magic trick to the story's writing.
That's all I have to say. The second season suffers the same fundamental problems as the first. If you like gag shows like this, go for it. If you want to simp for Komi like the cast, go for it. It's just that I didn't care for it at all. Now granted that my thoughts towards the show may not be very precise since I've only seen the first two seasons once. Anyways, I want to leave an apology letter to the fans who read this otherwise trashy review.
See ya~

[DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO EITHER HAVEN’T SEEN THE SERIES OR ARE STILL WATCHING IT. ALSO COVERS THE MAJORITY OF CODE GEASS, NOT JUST SEASON 2]
Ah Code Geass, the one show that is most well-known for its MC and its ending as well as being a mix of drama and action. Characters going out for war while wearing some of the fanciest clothing CLAMP can ever come up with. Making poses like you threaten civilians in such a flawless fashion. Mechs having such a unique design in both looks and equipment. There's nothing else to put other than to give out
...
my thoughts for each element of the show. Let's get started.
STORY: 81%
The story is portrayed as a war drama with our main protagonist, Lelouch, solving how to end the cycle of hatred without his identity being shown. He gains the ability to mind-control people all thanks to C.C., an immortal witch who grants people a handful of powers. Lelouch uses his power as carefully as he can. Lelouch explored Knightmare Frames, a type of mech that can come with different equipment, and uses one of them. He struggles to fight against Suzaku, a boy who he was best friends with during their childhood, and because of this, he then created his own army and named himself “Zero”. Code Geass has an interesting take on war drama because the show gives time to explore its characters. While it feels very refreshing, sometimes, it can be off-putting with a few odd moments; an example of that being that one episode dedicated to chasing a cat. While I do understand where this is going, it’s awkward to see an entire episode where the characters are chasing a cat just for Lelouch to return his helmet. Can’t Lelouch just place his helmet somewhere safe? Of course, there’s the one scene where Euphemia was out of control due to Lelouch’s mistake and killed the Japanese. Lelouch ends up killing Euphemia because there’s nothing he can do to fix it all because of his Geass being unstable after he used it on MAO, who was one of the villains of the show and has a fully-experienced Geass. While I don’t think it’s the best, it was at least realistic considering it shows how much Lelouch screwed up. Overall, R1 was a great way to show a series with just a few problems holding it back a little.
Then there’s R2, which extrapinates some of the problems R1 had and called them a day. Lelouch once again continued his plans after he regained his memories. He also has an illogical brother named Rolo, who has the ability to stop time within a small radius. While R1 made a lot of sense, R2 quickly became so chaotic that some events ended up being seen as comedy, especially once Lelouch dethroned his father and became the emperor of the entire world. There are so many plot twists around I can’t even count properly. Thankfully, these problems were fixed by the show’s ending. The ending revolves with Lelouch sacrificing himself just to end the war and the war finally stopped. Everyone achieved their freedom. I’ll be explaining this further in the characters section.
CHARACTERS: 72%
There are some characters who we love. There are others who we hate. Personally, I have my own thoughts for each. Before that, I just wanted to explain each characteristic for the main cast.
Lelouch is a student quickly-turned rebellious leader who sets up his own plans in order to free everyone from chaos, especially his sister.
Suzaku is a soldier who follows orders from the Holy Britannian Empire. He is also both best friends and rivals with Lelouch.
C.C. is the immortal witch who grants people the power of Geass, each type of Geass providing different abilities.
Kallen is an individual and one of Lelouch’s subordinates. She is a tsundere but despite that, she can be quite sensitive, compassionate, and gentle at times.
For my thoughts, I’d say the main cast had a lot going for the plot. They have their own spotlights and they have their dynamics with one another. But with R2 going, I can only name 2 major characters that are considered actually fleshed out. Lelouch is the obvious stand-out, with his motives, relationships, and how he attempts to achieve his goal while struggling to do so. Suzaku, despite what others think of, is also a major driving force of the story. He can be idiotic and he can be annoying but his characterization, like Lelouch, felt very realistic and it shows how he tries to fight against his problems. Both Lelouch and Suzaku are trapped in their own issues and they still keep on moving forward. As for C.C. and Kallen, they’re fine characters. They have their own moments and they can bring impact sometimes but their characters suffer due to them being sex objects for certain scenarios.
For the side characters, they’re also fine. I don’t have strong opinions on them but they at least contribute to the plot. The worst character for this, however, is none-other than Lelouch’s father, Charles. As the main villain of the series, Charles didn’t do right for me. At some times, he is shown where he is an interesting source of intimidation when we look at his backstory. Most of the time though, he feels like a generic tyrannic doomsday device throughout the series. The side characters do have potential to be very interesting but they somehow look like fodder for Lelouch. Perhaps one side character manages to be fleshed out compared to the others and that I’m talking about is Jeremiah (better known as Orange Boy). I didn’t care for him either but he eventually grew on me at the end with his loyalty.
Now back to the ending. Every character in the show is no longer a killing machine during war. They really knew what was happening and they decided to find better things to do. Lelouch sacrificed himself because he was the mastermind behind the chaos he created after dethroning Charles and he wanted to in order to solve his and everyone’s problems.
ART: 77-82% (character designs), 94% (mecha designs)
The artstyle for the characters are weird. Characters look too lanky to match their actual sizes that they may end up looking like glorified stickmen. The fashion, however, more than made up for it. Fashion sense in Code Geass is stylish and fancy. The best example for that is Lelouch as Zero in R2 where he looks like a badass leader who acts like a threat.
The Knightmare Frames were one of my favorite mech designs in all of mecha. Rollerblades, ejectable seats and grappling hooks as the base kit, truly made for dynamic action scenes. Their base designs are also lit-looking.
SOUND: 77%
The OPs and EDs are iconic and put effort into their music designs. The OST behind it is good but at times can be unfitting, especially with that salsa music for action and drama scenes.
The voice acting is great in both sub and dub, with occasions with scenes where we switch so we can hear which is fitting for certain scenes. For normal Lelouch, I’ll stick with Johnny Yong Bosch. For Zero, Jun Fukuyama.
ENJOYMENT: 84%
Code Geass is fun and engaging. But sometimes, it can be hard to take some things seriously. I don’t know what else to say… Clearly if you want to see characters for your preference no matter if you love or hate any, this is a solid watch for you. Otherwise, it’s more advisable if you watch it for both Lelouch and the ending. Not saying that it may look bad, just that we have our own views on how we watch it.

Time to dive in the rabbit hole!
2022 has been a special year for us, Anime watchers, to check out this year's Anime. 2022 Anime has been very diverse compared to some previous years. The best entries for this year are Ya Boy Kongming!, Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic-, and here the anime I'm reviewing is none other than SPY x FAMILY.
Now please forgive my half-assed English language as I'm just stating out my opinions on the show.
STORY: 90%
The story revolves in Loid Forger (codename: Twilight) being sent out for missions while looking for family members. It also portrays as comedy where the main cast
...
have their own bonding and/or drama is involved. The show has been nothing but consistent with its themes and doesn't take things too seriously to be enjoyable. Anime with western culture has been one of my favorite things to design an anime, Some notable examples for that being Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. SPY x FAMILY also follows that element. The comedy is also really good. It doesn't overblow it's quirk and uses it whenever there are times characters don't take their things seriously.
On a side note: my favorite scene in the show is that one moment where a guy thinks that a wife that doesn't cook never existed (he's only there for barely 10 minutes and I already want punch him in the face).
CHARACTERS: 85%
The characters are truly something else...
Loid is a spy who is out for missions, investigating the activities of a highly ranked politician while building his own family as well as trying his best to hide his own identities.
Yor is an assassin who works as a clerical employee and struggles to be a consistent wife and mother. She has a weird drinking habit and faints when she drinks. While she's good at cleaning, her cooking skills are the opposite. As an assassin, her physical strength and her speed are quite impressive, taking down a pack of traitors at the second episode.
Anya is a child alien (at least in my headcanon as I haven't gotten into the manga yet) who reads everyone's minds while driving into excitement whenever something special happens. While pretty smart as a mind reader, she struggles with her work as a student. She also plays with her toys as well as craving for peanuts.
The main cast are overall funny, likeable, and never felt very out of place in terms of their characterization. They have great chemistry with one another. They prioritize on their goals whenever they have to. They can be awkward at times but still loving each other.
Side characters are also very entertaining with some having their time to talk with some of the other main cast (some examples being Becky with Anya and Yuri with Yor) and others being so absurdly enjoyable to watch to an extent where they might be loved to be hated on (*cough* *cough* the dude who thinks a wife who doesn't cook never existed *cough*).
ART: 85%
Art style looks really nice as far as I'm concerned having respectable and friendly color palettes to the opposed base character designs.
And speaking of base character designs, they also look good whether they look attractive (Yor's Thorn Princess dress) or plain cool-looking (Loid in any outfit because he's Loid, I don't need to elaborate much).
SOUND: 84%
OST is well-done. Each soundtrack fit well with a mood of each scene.
OP and ED are good as well, although I personally have nothing against theme but they're still catchy.
Voice acting is exceptional, with each VA fitting each character pretty well with their tones and delivering pretty nice lines.
ENJOYMENT: 96%
Again, 2022 has been a ride. Providing great Anime for us to enjoy. SPY x FAMILY is no exception. The show provides us a great story as well as the next-getting-stale comedy and a likeable, unique cast of characters. I can recommend this for those who are worrying about show that fall into clichéd gimmicks. Heck, I can even recommend to those who aren't even into Anime at some point.

[DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW COVERS THE MAJORITY OF KONOSUBA (EXCEPT FOR THE MOVIE), NOT JUST SEASON 2]
Isekai as a whole has always been a weird genre. While I do think it actually has the potential to be interesting on paper, a lot of shows were sadly overwhelmed by dry theatrics such as harem, overpowered MC, and directly following the goal of defeating the demon lord. Thankfully, this was barely the case for Konosuba, the kind of isekai that disobeys the basic rules with its own utility.
STORY: 88%
First of all, the concept behind it. The concept of it is to defeat the demon king. Sounds basic? Like
...
a lot of isekais, yes. Can it ruin the progression and scriptwriting? Well... not even close. Konosuba overcomes the simplistic concept by turning the show into a parody. The show doesn't even progress but in a way that makes it very fun to watch with the characters dicking around instead of progressing their levels. While the story is very funny and charming, it has a little bit of qualms such as the panty-stealing scenes; while I still find it funny, it was sometimes admittedly uncomfortable to look at.
CHARACTERS: 93%
The characters are easily my favorite part of the show, with each having their own characteristics and personalities.
Kazuma Satou, the MC of the show, is a NEET who has bad luck and believes that all genders are equal.
Aqua is a goddess who has her potential to be a great goddess with her water and light powers but decides to focus mostly on alcohol.
Megumin is an archwizard who has an obsession on explosive magic, is actually manipulative, and likes piggybank rides.
Darkness is a masochist who gets embarrassed everytime.
To be honest, I don't really find them completely useless. Sure, they're pretty weak but there are aspects where their strengths shine. Aqua can still revive Kazuma. Megumin's explosion, while still extremely limited, still packs a punch. The main cast are overall lovable dicks with their fun dynamics. Very satisfying to see them shame on each other but, at the same time, still loving each other. The main cast aren't the only thing keeping the show amazing in the first place, we also got a few side characters shining as well.
Yunyun is a friendly lady who has zero chances on gaining a friend. Her interactions and rivalry with Megumin were very refreshing and funny seeing those two arguing against each other. Yunyun introduces, Megumin, while knowing her before, pretends that she doesn't know. Play games with each other and surprise or not surprise, Megumin will always win.
Beldia is an armored headless horseman who wants to live in a quiet life. Destroy his castle and you know you messed up, even if he's not that much of a threat. His complains easily makes him a funniest character in the entire series (I'll thank Patrick Seitz for the voice acting.)
Wiz is a friendly shopkeeper who is probably the only sane character in the show alongside with Yunyun.
Hans is... well... Hans.
The characters are very charming and brought a large impact to the story whether you like them or hate them.
ART: 84%
The art style is nice, creative, and colorful even though it looks a little generic.
Though, what's very impressive is how DEEN animates Megumin's explosion. And let me tell you, it beautiful. It's very hard to describe how outstanding the explosion magic was. All I can say is is that they spent their dedication on such an entertaining magic scene.
Character designs are nice, with Megumin's being one of my personal favorite aesthetics in fiction.
SOUND: 92%
I like both the opening and ending. They're catchy and energetic.
OST is very welcome as they reflect each event quite nicely.
Though, what hits hard is the voice acting. The voice acting in both sub and dub are well-scripted and provide tons of personality of each character. (Although, I personally prefer the dub a little more as it feel a little more faithful to the characters' idiocity.)
ENJOYMENT: 95%
At first, I thought this was going to be yet another generic isekai judging from the premise but after watching it and having experiences with it, Konosuba is easily one of the best shows out there. It's funny, cute, deep, and it doesn't force you through MMORPG bs. If you're looking for a different isekai, I highly suggest you give it a try.
