To be honest, I don't really like this, the plot feels cheap and unnecessary, it's a 3/10.


The main plot comes from miscommunication, things should've end quicker if they all just be honest and talk about their problem.


The 2 main character is a problem too, Yuzuki and Shione are very toxic, blaming MC for no reason, and keep rejecting her without any proper explanation, it's very irritating, makes me want to slap both of them in the face real hard.


The ending where the world is reset to saucerless city is very unnecessary, they should've just kept the story going with the disappearance of the saucer ... and fast-forward to the future where their kids or someone else does the summoning ritual and have Noel appears in front of them with a smile saying that she's there to grant their wishes and end the series.

I just completed watching this anime, I would say it's a 5/10.

I would say it's worth for the first time watch to experience a nice ice hockey anime with high quality animation, but it wouldn't be worth for a rewatch since the plot itself is bland and generic.

The highlight other than ice hockey is the victory dance, but that concept is pure horseshit(pun). I think this is inspired by Uma Musume with the idol dance at the end of the competition, but they fail to combine it with an ice skate and ended up with just a normal idol dance in the middle of ... an ice skating rink wearing normal shoes, what a wasted potential.

No wonder a lot of people were complaining about the ending, I myself doesn't like this type of end with a "friendship, effort and victory" type of shit. In sports anime, this trope is overused, so I was expecting a different end where Ayano stays in the dark side and become more twisted, such as love destroying player who enjoy badminton.

I was rooting for Ayano right from the beginning, with her sad past and her dark characteristic is pretty enjoyable to watch, she's very quirky and special, while Nagisa on the other hand is pretty bland. She's boring, feels like a generic character with the ... motto "friendship, effort and victory" shounen genre type. She lacks any specialty, so the plot ended up nerfing other character to her level for the fairness.

I'm already at the age where to understand that effort doesn't always equal to success anymore, so seeing this generic youth trope ending is pretty hard for my soul.

It was a good 8/10, but then episode 12 and 13 comes in, and it drops to 5/10, bland and generic.

First, let me be clear, I haven't read the manga of this series, so I can't compare it with manga and anime either if they adapt the plot and art/animation into it. Here I would only talk about the anime adaptation and to be honest, this anime is a meh.

The plot is pretty average, it's the chosen one village boy savior plot. The war is understandable because the water source is scarce, and they're fighting for it. It was good until episode 3 where they went down to the snow sea level, after that the series lost its magic, and you're stuck with the mundane ... story. The character interaction is pretty boring, but the world setting is nice, I'm more interested in the creatures other than human and the mystery going on why the water is drying up.

The only character that I like is the prince because he's a good boy, but other than that, the characters are annoying and boring as fuck.
The MC is pretty straightforward, nothing good nothing bad, just a generic character.
The FMC is your typical princess that try to stop the war and wish for world peace.
The king is arrogant as fuck for no reason.
The armor girl acts all smug, but in the end just a stupid character that obeys a tyrant just because he's a dude that able to control an artifact.
The villain is evil because he's evil, seriously what the fuck.

I would rate this anime 4/10, below average. The anime could've been better if the FMC isn't a princess that bound to the kingdom, so that we could see a vast world exploration more to understand the mystery going on why the tree is drying up.

For me this is a meh, it's not that interesting, I feel like it's a waste of time.
Mostly due to MC attitude, his character background does fit to be a MC but his action doesn't align that much with his moral in this series, at least from what I see.

Basically what I'm saying that it's a waste of potential for MC with great background but doesn't put any effort to achieve it, the story ended up become mundane, the plot tried to pull MC along with it but ended up getting stopped by MC instead, that kind of feeling I had at the moment.

He feel ... sympathy for the Another but his effort to improve isn't there. Every fucking episode his position stays as a newcomer, even though his background is in the opposite. He's in the same bloodline as Abe no Seimei, the most popular/generic character used for high rank onmyoji. Even though he's in that position he doesn't even put effort on improving his knowledge, technique or anything. He just keep going on with that rookie attitude with 0 knowledge into work and get tangled by the surrounding. I'm really tired of it, every fucking episode until the end of the anime. There are couple of Another that mistake him for Abe no Seimei in this anime, he should've asked what did Abe no Seimei did during his lifetime or something to learn on properly how to interact with these Another. I thought that he was gonna eventually learn some onmyoji technique or something but nope, it stays the same, rookie until the end, what a waste of potential.

I'd say it's a 2/10, wasted potential.

Come in with "What the fuck am I watching?" and goes out with "What the fuck did I just watched?".

Simoun is pretty unique on it's own in term of plot/story setting, everything is new and incomprehensible to me. The story keeps draws me into it and leaves me with more question than answer. To begin with I come here for the Yuri setting but ended up stayed for the "questionable" plot. To be honest, there isn't that much of Yuri going on here because they are genderless to begin with. They all are "Maiden" until they reach age of 17 or until they decide to ... go to the spring to pick which gender to go with. So they doesn't go beyond kissing so there is no seggs or anything. The story is more on the war and it's pretty heavy with the relationship that's going on between the characters.

I personally liked the MC personality, she's very bright and straight when it comes to interacting with other characters so it's very refreshing to see.

Alot of people said that this series have a bad CGI, generic plot and bad anime adaptation(compared with manga or LN).

Frankly speaking I've found myself fell in love with this series. The plot doesn't feel generic to me unlike the other people, it's pretty interesting. Of course the plot is overlap with other anime series such as Log Horizon where the player entered inside the game world and experience the changes happened between the game and reality. The TS part also very appeal to me, of course I don't mind if the MC avatar stays the same but it would've been more pleasing to the ... eye to see a girl as the MC. Unlike Shoujo Senki, this series shows more fanservice and the plot is not that heavy to consume even though the plot is on a war world scale but it's very lightweight so I always watch it with a breeze.

The MC personality is very humble and likeable, she's able to adept to the current world and improve her magic just like how her character suppose to be, a sage that have a great amount in knowledge. The summoned spirits are also very cool and cute especially Leticia and Pam.

For the CGI, I see no problem with it, it's not that bad or that good either way. The CGI moves fine but very bad when they are cut so it feels more incomplete rather than bad in general.

I don't know other adaptation on this series so I'll be skipping this topic.

Hmmm... to be honest, the ending feels a bit generic for the age/era of the setting.

I know that it's a good thing that the series ended with a happy ending but it feels kinda cheap and fake to me.

It feels like that the story already decided from the beginning and then the author decide to poke between these characters to make the story have more range in depth of drama. I feel that the story should've ended on season 1 so that it could be more realistic.

William character is annoying the fuck out of me. Indecisive cuck throughout the whole story and spreading trouble all ... over the damn place. I'm more interested in Hakim character instead of William.

Also I don't know why Emma is so loyal to William, his character is not that interesting, he is just a plain rich young brat to me.

Just like my previous review in the Strike the Blood I and II, the plot is basically dead. It's stable with the generic repetitive plot. Enemy that want to destroy the city and MC and the heroines that want to protect it. Really fucking boring to be honest, every fight scene I go "Ah shit, here we go again". MC get beat on the first battle and drink some heroine's blood, come back on the second round with a new familiar and beat the enemy.

The only good thing that I found in this season is that the harem setting is legit. The heroines have shown ... potential to support the harem end. I really want to know what's going to happen in their relationship but too bad I've already burnt out by the boring and repetitive plot so I'll be dropping this series at this point. I wouldn't watch the season 4.

When it comes to plot, this franchise is basically dead from the start. I was expecting something different from season 2 but it turn out to be the same as season 1.

Some villain come in to destroy the city and MC stopping them from it, MC lose on the first battle and come back after drinking some blood from the heroine unlocking new familiar and defeat the enemy.
So yeah every episode I have this "Ah shit, here we go again" kind of feel to it, just like season 1.

Season 2 introduced some new heroines so it's bearable for me to watch, also the fanservice help ... me from dropping the series. There is nothing new going on with the relationship between the MC and the heroines. All they do is kiss and drink some blood stuff, which is basically nothing at this point.
