I've heard a lot of praise given to this show on a few message boards and as an avid fan of the magical girl genre i decided to give it a go.
Part 1: before fate
the episodes before fate are fine rather dull people describe it as standard magical girl fare but i personally think standard magical girl fair was more enjoyable than these episodes most of it is telepathic exposition dumps between Nahona and Yuuno where something else is happening while they talk without their mouths moving which id often joke was done to save on animation. another thing i noticed was the ... creepy fan service around this underage girl like way underage she's a third grader then there's the Ken Pendersesque designs of the characters everyone and i mean everyone has the same fucking hair you cannot escape those side bangs its like a virus. as another reviewer said the one negative review before this one stated Nahona does not act like a child. while i'm not often one to rag on this as its somewhat of a trope for young characters to not look or act their age but i feel given the contemporaries within its genre i feel it really hinders the appeal here as Nahona isn't childish at all compared to the likes of Sakura and Doremi even Yucie their personalities made the show fun while Nahona is a plank of wood.
Part 2: i don't care about this conflict
so the esteemed character of Fate has arrived and surely her being here will remedy any complaints i had up until now and sorry to say but no i think fate is the most boring rival character i've encountered in anime i get what their going for being a very sombre seemingly emotionless type and i feel it could work if they made her a creepy type but no her confrontations with Nahona are very dull even with the admittedly cool action and the aesthetics of the magic system she doesn't have any searing comments or entertaining banter even with later knowledge that shes a victim of abuse it only makes her mildly interesting Kraehe from Princess Tutu is just Fate done 100 times better she's tragic compelling and her fights against Tutu have you on the edge of your seat and Fate's conflict with Nahona is just plain stupid why are they fighting exactly they just instantly fight pretty much Nahona doesn't really try to talk to Fate doesn't seem at all interested in the fact there's another mage the fact it takes a bit to reveal fates motivation leaves a big gap in this bare bones conflict.
Part 3: i don't like this show
i can handle low story low conflict and low energy as long as the characters are fun but none of them are but if your gonna try to tell a story don't make it redundant and this show does just that not only can it not make up its mind on what the jewel Seeds are when it does it makes everything else pointless if there were seed son other planets why is Fate on earth at all is there a few of them or a bunch make up your mind and that's truly what drove the nail in the coffin for me.
Epilogue: do i think you will like it well i cant truly recommend or not recommend it the show seems to attract those not interested in the genre with its somewhat frightening and "dark" themes but i can name like a bunch of other shows of this sort that do dark magical girl better to me Magical Girl Lyrical Nahona is all aesthetics and a decent magic system under a contrived dull story the fact theres so much praise is reason to give it a watch and form your own views otherwise please just watch princess Tutu you guys

Probably the worst anime i have seen until now there's very little i can say about it i hate harem anime. its awkward fanservice after awkward fanservice if your in to that than by all means watch it all the characters are blank slates some have a bit of personality but are otherwise just a collage of pretty faces to fill the screen. er Musume is almost riff worthy in how bad it is it is the anime equivalent of an exploitation film just don't bother with this one it inst worth your time or anyone else's time the only pro i can give is ... it doesn't look awful.
the story is a slice of life with a shitty gimmick and very little overarching narrative there's little conflict and what conflict there is is stupid and adds little to the experience

May or may not have been the second anime I ever watched. This one’s a bit of a forgotten classic where at one point it was iconic and synonymous with anime but nowadays has been forgotten was it’s fall into somewhat obscurity deserved well here’s what I think. Chobits is a what I call a split half show where one half is worse or better than the other. With Chobits the first half isn’t bad by any means it’s just ok it’s standard magical girlfriend anime fair with awkward fan service and “wacky” misunderstandings to boot its fine but I wouldn’t blame anyone for dropping ... it before it gets good. And by good I mean pretty good not amazing or a huge jump in quality it’s just a spark of conflict and a cryptic mystery to spice things up. The characters are alright the standouts are Sumomo and Kotoko their such a fun and cute dynamic Im glad we got a movie with just them wish we got more of that overall Chobits is a decent watch your time won’t be wasted since it’s relatively short and pretty engaging if you like Urusei Yatsura and other vintage anime you’ll like Chobits

this was the first anime i had ever seen while i might still find some parts of it funny i don't feel I'd like it now. It does somethings particularly well the story is rather engaging for this type of show and things get very interesting once Chaos shows up otherwise it's just a peg above your typical soft core porn anime. If You enjoy those types of shows i would recommend it if not than watch at your own risk. the characters are fine their the usual archetypes the perv the Tsundere the dumb one sassy one and guy with glasses and most ... of all stock waifu girl they have their moments but otherwise fit into their places
