One Piece is a masterpiece of storytelling that anyone should watch during his lifetime! So what are the gems that lie beneath this story, in general? (I''ll comment about the anime version at the end of this review)
STORY 10: (personal importance factor [pif] x1.2)
Well, there is a lot that can be told about the story but I'll try to be really laconic. We have a newby young pirate named Luffy setting off on his adventure across the oceans to become the King of Pirates. Yes, it's really commonplace. But what's pulling you in on this grossly big adventure is Luffy getting new nakama and the
...
wonderful experiences they come along with as a big family. My compatriot Cavafy's poem (written more than a century ago) describes Luffy's journey in a beautiful and exact way:
As you set out for Ithaka
hope your road is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
angry Poseidon—don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
wild Poseidon—you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.
Hope your road is a long one.
May there be many summer mornings when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you enter harbors you’re seeing for the first time:
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
sensual perfume of every kind—
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to learn and go on learning from their scholars.
Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you’re destined for.
But don’t hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you’re old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you’ve gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her you wouldn’t have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.
And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled
you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you’ll have understood by then what these Ithakas
mean.
WORLD-BUILDING: 10 (pif x1.3)
Luffy and his friends travel a long way through an enormous ocean with a major variety of strange and amazing islands, kingdoms and societies awaiting them. Each unique yet a part of a uniform whole. All these different places and societies broach many real-world issues, such as diversity, racism, political corruption and much more... And they are all tied together in a perfect way!
ART: 10 (pif x1)
Well, the art (both in manga and anime) complete the whole with respect to the detailed story, as well as the anime version adds an enjoyable liveliness.
CHARACTERS: 10 (pif x0.5)
Luffy and his nakama make such a great company that I wish I could become one of them. Their bonds are strong enough to consider them a family and, in another way, their journey is rather a family adventure. One's dream is everyone's dream! Their nakama lives are more important than theirs! This is One Piece!
AVERAGE: 10 (I want moreeee!)
In conclusion, I could type in front of my laptop's screen for hours but that would be much of a torture for the readers. If anyone reads this at all. :p :p :p

SOUND: 10 (pif x0.5)
Outstanding openings and theme songs (not all of them though) which match the story perfectly. I would enjoy downloading them as phone calls.

The ONLY very bad thing about the anime (NOT the manga) is that the story proceeds very very slowly from about the Dressrosa Arc and after (~ ep. 630 up to today). This is the reason I dropped it when the arc met its closure.
In conclusion, I could type in front of my laptop's screen for hours but that would be much of a torture for the readers. If anyone reads this at all. :p :p :p

If there is a list of the 100 anime that someone must definitely watch, then Boku dake ga Inai Machi has to be in it. Let's see why:
STORY: 10 (personal importance factor [pif] x1.4)
The story follows Satoru Fujinuma, a man who has the ability to travel back in time some moments before a fatal incident happen. But one day his ability sends him 18 years back in the past when he was a 10-year-old boy, so he can grab the chance to prevent a kidnapper from merdering three of his childhood friends.
The whole story revolves around a well-built mystery wits lots of tense and it's
...
like something bigger (maybe the cosmos itself) wanting the protagonist to solve it by presenting him another chance to try again when he fails. The pale is excellent and the end couldn't be more interesting. Finally, I praise it for keeping the time-travel element at the backstage, as its role ends where the mystery starts, and there isn't any need to be analyzed.
WORLD-BUILDING: 10 (pif x1.4)
The story is set in the modern day Japan and culture presenting the little daily activities of the protagonist and his surroundings (such as having lunch, having a birthday party etc.). Those little things make the story realistic and extremely pleasant.
ART: 10 (pif x1.2)
The art has no reason to be envious of other dignified 2010s anime's.
MUSIC: 8 (pif x0.5)
I enjoyed a lot the soundtrack but I mostly loved the Opening Song. However, none of its songs and melodies has captured my mind.
CHARACTERS: 10 (pif x0.5)
The protagonist as well as other characters, such as Kayo Hinazuki, the girl that Satoru was mostly interested to save, go through a major mental maturing as they have to deal with their lives and happiness. However, some characters are almost indifferent.
~~ AVERAGE: 9.8 ~~
It's definitely my best of 2016 and in my top 5!

For the start, Ordinal Scale is an extremely beautiful movie, which any fan of SAO will enjoy. Having watched it twice recently, I can say, for sure, that every minute was worth watching it. But let's see what specifically was that for:
STORY: 10 (personal importance factor [pif] x1.4)
The story is original enough, despite some things being repeated. It has to do with an all different gaming genre, AR, where the characters move and fight villains in the real world! Also, the main antagonist, Eiji, is a breath of fresh air as he is a top-rank player and has realistic reasons for his evil actions. Moreover,
...
Kirito is not as strong and mighty as in the series at the biggest part of the movie, Asuna has a bigger role and we get to see more of their relationship. Finally, the end is the best part of the movie and is a lot better than I expected!
The pace was also very good.
WORLD-BUILDING: 10 (pif x1.4)
The world is realistically presented at the rate the plot allows it and the result is more than pleasant. In particular, I greatly enjoyed the presentation of the massive gaming trend the companies tend to create, which reminded me of the transient POKEMON GO last year.
ART: 10 (pif x1,2)
The animation is what you expect it to be in 2017 with an amazing art, full of live colours and well-shown action. It's a good reason to watch the movie.
SOUND: 9 (pif x0.5)
The music is almost as good as in the show and is a beautiful company to the plot. However, for me the best part of it is the Swordland, which we heard in the season 1 for the first time and is my favourite song from the whole franchise.
CHARACTERS: 8 (pif x0.5)
Kirito is the typical character who never gives up and, when the time comes, gets stronger and wins. This fact doesn't change in the movie, too. Asuna gets a leading role, which is one of the greatest things of the movie. As for Klein, Sinon and company, nothing changes.
AVERAGE: 9.7
In conclusion, OS is a great anime movie to watch again and again as the time passes. I can't wait to buy it when it gets available!
In the after-credits scene something great is presented!!! Can you guess what?

FMB is an anime that everyone should watch sometime in their life. The story is amazingly interesting and there is a vast world-building, which is simultaneously innovative and realistic. Therefore, almost every one of the innumerable characters has an interesting history and well-guarded secrets.
As for the art, it's beautifully fitting with the story and characters and music is a strong part of the overall work.
It's position is within my top-10 list.
Story; 10

Enjoyment; 10
Average; 9,8
In conclusion, if you're seeking a GOOD anime to watch, this is it. I'm sure you'll love it. But if you're seeking one to just kill time, then I don't recommend it.
