So here's why I love hunter x hunter:
- really cool character design. There's a murderous clown named Hisoka and he's so damn cool. Also a pedo though. Why did they have to make him a pedo. Anyway the character designs are cool
- abilities are extremely diverse, versatile, and creative. Battles are truly thought with wits. This isn't one of those anime where the characters act like they are being clever and then do simple battle tactics. Hunter x Hunter characters plan out seriously advanced strategies during combat while accounting for the knowledge they lack about the enemy abilities.
- the story is extremely well written. Dialogue ... is overall very good.
- pacing is very good.

I would give it a 10/10, if it weren't for the Chimera Ant arc which is a 60 episode snoozefest. Many viewers consider it the best arc, but it basically undoes everything I wrote above. Terrible pacing, terrible dialogue, very unfunny, meh battles, and more. It has some good sub-arcs, but most of it is bad.

Anyway, watch this show! It's excellent.

Such a mid show.

Firstly, the plot armor. Good god. Tanjiro can basically solo anyone. The Demon Slayer Corps should send only Tanjiro to fight each demon, it would be a guaranteed win. And then Zenitsu and Inosuke also defeated an upper rank demon somehow... just total bullshit.

As for the characters, zenitsu remains annoying as fuck, inosuke is pretty cool, tanjiro is the goody two shoes perfect in every way boy still. The demons are pretty cool.

And then there's Tengen. An actually cool as fuck character. I love his design, and his personality (being flashy) is actually minorly interesting, which is better ... than anything the main trio has done. Tengen is an actually cool character, and watching him fight was awesome.

As for the humor, it sucks. I'm so confused about how this show can involve serious topic like prostitution (which of course aren't treated seriously) and also 10 year old humor. I guess there's an audience for that somewhere.

The animation was great as usual.

Lastly, literally every demon has some tragic backstory and Tanjiro forgives them and they realize how evil they were and repent. I mean seriously? I get that tragic backstories tend to create demons, but geeze, can't some of them actually just be evil?

So I gave this a 7/10 rating. I basically just fast forwarded through the stupid monologues, terrible humor, and unnecessary scenes to get to the cool combat. I even fast forwarded through some combat because it was just so ridiculous. But if you want to watch Tengen, a super cool hashira, fight demons, then you should watch it and fast forward through the unnecessary parts.

This movie is better than demon slayer season 1.

Story: pretty good. The demons have cool plans and the cast has cool counter-plans. The plot mostly makes sense.

Animation: great as always. The cgi was quite good too. And the fights were extremely cool.

Sound: quite good as always.

Characters: nothing really of note here. All of the characters remain one dimensional. I do think Tanjiro's actions were a kinda nice development of his character.

My final note is always one of confusion for this series. It has the violence of a pg13 series, and Tanjiro does some actions in this movie that shouldn't be shown to kids. Yet it ... has kid humor in it. I guess there's an audience for that. I personally would like demon slayer more if the characters weren't cardboard cutouts and there was less humor in it. I mainly watch it for the cool fights.

It's a fine anime. Just slightly good.

Firstly, the humor is pretty terrible. It's extremely childish. Yet the show is actually quite gory, so I'm not sure why there is so much childish humor.

The story is ok. It would be better if there was less humor.

The characters are all bland as hell. No personality.

The animation is mostly beautiful, but imo people overhype the animation too.

... Also, there are some asspulls.

My final comment is that the final episode sets up the plot for future seasons and it looks more interesting.

Death parade is amazing. The characters, the decisions they make, and the moral arguments presented are extremely compelling. I highly recommend everyone watch it. The first episode has a game that causes pain, but don't let that deter you because only one future game involves pain. (I personally don't like watching games that cause pain.)

MAL wants more info in this review. So... I thought the plot was fairly predictable, but it was done extremely well. The art is beautiful. The characters are well written.

The premise of this show is that there are arbiters who judge two guests and whether they should be reincarnated or ... sent to the void.

**Story**
The story is mostly good. There are some parts of the plot that go unexplained, and a lot of the plot must be read between the lines. But overall the plot is still quite good.

**Art**
The art is quite good. The character designs are great, the evas and their combat animation look great, and the scenery is well done. The only place that the art falls flat is that in later episodes there are a lot of still shots, probably because of budget, and the art is a bit grainy, but that's because of the time in which it was ... made, not because of the artists' error.

**Sound**
The voice acting is amazing, and both the intro and end songs are amazing. Seriously. A cruel angel's thesis is probably the most famous opening anime song of all time, and fly me to the moon sung in english is by far the most unique ending anime song I've ever heard. It's beautiful too.


**Character**
Oh boy. This is the part where viewers will vehemently disagree. I'm not going to spoil anything, so I'll just say that I thought the characters are quite unique compared to other anime, and they remain interesting throughout the series.

**Enjoyment**
I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching the battles, the trauma the characters face, and other stuff that would fall into spoilers.

**Overall**
10/10, but not because I think the anime deserves a 10/10. I'd probably give it an 8.5 or so. But it gets a 10 from me because it's a must watch. Especially the ending. There are few words to describe what an incredible and unique ending the show has. And of course I won't, because that would be a major spoiler. For the last two episodes alone, this show is worth watching.

And as a quick side note, this show does sexualize minors. The main characters are 14-15 years old and are naked sometimes. Some people have defended it, saying it contributes to the depressing atmosphere of the show, but it isn't needed. The characters don't need to be naked. I'm guessing it was done to appeal to some watchers, as is usually done. If you can watch past that, the rest of the show is amazing. But unfortunately, it is a part of the show.

This is an outstanding anime. Let's break it down by section:

Story - the story is amazing. It has great strategy, it has mystery and suspense, and it has lighthearted moments too. The plot makes a lot of sense, character decisions make sense, and it's a very exciting plot. There are some parts that are just incredible.

Art - quite good, although unfortunately I watched a low quality encode of it. For season 2 I'll definitely be watching a higher quality encode.

Sound - very very good. The music is great, the sound effects are great, and the voice acting is great. Although the OPs are all ... pretty forgettable, but that's fine.

Characters - very well written. All the characters have their own motivations and act on them. They also all face personal dilemmas that affect their personality and actions. Characters are consistent. I think it's the characters that really make this show a masterpiece to me.

Enjoyment - I really enjoyed this. Lelouch is a really interesting character to watch. He's extremely strategic, but not to an unrealistic degree. He's cunning, but still principled. The action scenes in this show are awesome. The plot twists are great. Often times I felt shock at what happened, but I also often felt happy or excited about the events of the show. So yeah, 10/10.

Overall - easy 10. A masterpiece. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the ending. It's just ok. However, it's certainly not bad. I just don't think it was a good place to end the season. Fortunately there's a season 2. I'm very excited to watch it!

To me, 86 is a good anime, but not great. Its premise is one of genocidal tyrants forcing the 86, a group of people, to secretly pilot their mecha military while the civilians of the nation believe the mecha are autonomous.

It has a very promising premise. I expected a lot of political stuff, revolts, subterfuge, and similar stuff involving the liberation of the 86. Unfortunately the majority of the plot is the 86 fighting in mechas. Little time is spent on national politics. I also expected the main character Lena to play a much bigger role. Instead she spends most - but not all - ... episodes lamenting on how she wishes she could change stuff.

The mecha combat is unrealistic. The number of enemies the 86 fight are unrealistically large, their mechas last an unrealistically long time, and they have an unrealistic amount of ammo. The mechas also perform some movements (such as grappling with hooks to move and performing flips) that simply shouldn't be possible. Disbelief can be suspended, but not extraordinarily unrealistic technology and/or physics.

Speaking of suspension of disbelief, when the 86 were asked why they don't just turn their mechas around and destroy the Republic (which has practically no military since the mechas are their military) they said something along the lines of, "we've resigned ourselves to our fate. We've decided to go our own way, on our own path to freedom, or die trying. Since we're going to die out here, we might as well die fighting to defend the Republic." Most nonsensical thing ever. Idk about you guys, but if my people were being genocided and the tyrants literally gave us their entire military (the mechas)... I'd go right to their city, blow up their capital building, and kill all the government officials.

My last negative is that I don't really care for many of the characters and their deaths. I just don't know them well enough to care. I'd say I truly care about maybe half a dozen characters. I couldn't remember the rest of their names. The cast was too large.

Now for the positives. I do really like Lena, Shin, and some of the other characters. I also like the premise of the show, and although it wasn't executed as well as I had hoped it would be, it was still executed decently. The voice acting is also great.

Overall I'd say Lena and Shin, especially Lena, carry this show. Her character is great.

So yeah it's good, not great, but not bad either. Worth watching.

I do not remember a whole lot about the movie, but I remember that this was my favorite studio ghibli movie. It was fantastic. I won't be writing an actual review about the movie, since I don't remember a whole lot. I should really rewatch this movie. And other studio ghibli movies. They do great work.

Anyway yeah this was my favorite. I highly recommend you watch it. And other studio ghibli films.

I watched naruto shippuden when I was 13 years old, so while I remember a lot of it I don't really remember enough to write a detailed review. It was ok. I skipped all the filler btw.

**SPOILERS AHEAD.** Not major ones, but spoilers nonetheless.

Pain arc was definitely the highlight. Sakura was useless for nearly all 500 episodes. Itachi's story was really well written. The akatsuki were a well written group, and I really liked Madara. Not a fan of the Otsutsuki. A real asspull because the author couldn't figure out how Naruto and Sasuke could defeat Madara.

So overall I'd say it's ok. If ... the filler was cut I'd say it's good.
