As usual, forgive my english. Being french makes my english sucky sometimes.
BTW: SPOILERS this review might contain.
Being a butler is no easy job... all the cleaning, the washing, the exigencies of your masters and... the hilariousness that you can get.
Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de, also known as They are my Noble Masters (let's just call it TAMNM), is truly a good show for the target audience and the genres it wanted to touch. Me, mecha/sci-fi fan walked on this anime with this mind set: I want a mindless show that will entertain me, without being annoying. TAMNM did it perfectly!! Never had
...
I so much fun watching a mindless "harem/romance/parody" anime. Now let's get to the review please.
Story: huh... none. Read the synopsis and you pretty much get the story. This show never tried to force you a story. You can of course see that the story follows a path of going to point A to point B. It also makes sense, but it's not one continuous story. The setup for Ren and Mihato is very well done. Instead of having them just appearing out of nowhere in this crazy mansion, they give almost a complete episode before they actually start working as butler and maid. Having Ren being beaten up by his father and running away from home later was a good sad atmosphere at the beginning of the show. For the most part, this is an episodic show. Nothing that makes it stand out, but it makes sense. 7/10
Art: The animation is nothing that stands out, but the character designs are very good. Really too much to say, it's just good art in general. 8/10
Sound: Meh... generic soundtrack. It has a weird, but funny, mix of music that ranges from Classic music to almost Heavy Rock. Nothing impressive and the OP/ED were just not good. 6/10
Characters: This is where TAMNM did his job flawlessly. A lot of ground to cover in this section. Prepare yourself.
Ren: He is your anti-lead for a romance/harem/slice of life anime. First of all, he's hot-blooded which makes him absurdly epic sometimes. He's a man of decision. He's willing to become a better butler for the sake of never had to go back to home again. Of course, he gets embarrased over some things, but he eventually gets over that and that makes him stand out of the bunch of pussies in other animes *cough* Aono Tsukune*cough* *cough*Rito Yuuki*cough* *cough*Shinji Ikari*cough*. Thumbs up Ren, you were awesome.
Shinra-sama: The first child in the Kuonji family. She's incredibly colorful. Charismatic, beautiful and mysteriously attractive. She's so awesome. She loves to tease the people that she loves and you can definitely see that in the anime. The things that she does are ridiculously funny and when she gets serious, it is at least credible. Of course, they are two parts in the anime that I think she didn't make the right decision, but at least at the end *SPOILER* she kisses Ren with one of the most intense and straight forward kiss ever. *END OF SPOILER* That character did her job with a perfect score.
Mihato: Crazy sister, but funny crazy sister. The fact that she admits having a brother complex right from the start makes all her actions believable. She really loves her brother as much as he loves her. That's another thing that stands out in this anime. They show you their very deep love for each other, but without having to go in an incest route. She's willing to let him go, but she gets depressed when she cannot spare some moments with him and that is understandable. But she never gets in the way for character developments making her a very likeable character.
Natose: God, I love her. She is so likeable, always trying to do her best, supporting Ren in his work, giving him advice, etc. She's a perfect balance of hilarious moment and also serious moment (and that's the moment you don't F with her). The fact that she likes Ren, but only as brother, makes that show a "different" experience compared to the traditional harem show. That character is up there. Her backstory was also kinda sad, being the only survivor of a tsunami and seeing all her family dying without being able to do anything was touching.
Miyu: The second sister of the Kuonji family. At the first, I thought she was going to be the generic girl that looks like a little kid, but in fact is an genius and annoys everybody with her boastfulness. I was completely wrong. She's a grown up adult, but has her cute moments. The fact that her own sister calls her loli is hilarious, when she's probably the most mature character in the show. She likes Ren, but never to the point of love, which breaks yet again the traditional harem route. She doesn't have any shame and the moment when she's getting almost molested by Shinra makes her hilarious and like the others, a very likeable character.
Yume: The third and last sister of the Kuonji family and probably the most invisible out of the three. She sees herself as an invisible person that doesn't have a strong character, which is kinda true. But she is a fluffy person and when she is in the screen, she does have a presence and you like her. She doesn't stand out, but she's not annoying and you feel good for her at the end.
Benisu: That's the Tsundere of the show. She's looking down upon Ren, but eventually likes him. Her backstory is probably the main reason why she acts the way she does. That character was funny and interesting at times, but she also got in my nerves at some points. I just want to mention that her voice is done by someone who does a lot of hentai and it shows in episode 12... In the end she was just a good character.
Ageha: I LOVE HER TO DEATH!! Again, first impression is never the right one. I thought she was going to be the generic evil bitch, but it turns out very differently. She is, along with Shinra, the only character that develops an affection to the point of love over Ren. Instead of being evil, she's the hot-blooded female of the show. Very strong, very strict, but she is able to acknowledge the efforts of people around her and giving rewards for that. I was happy that she got an arc devoted only to her and Ren and I was also happy that she takes a backseat for the rest of the series while still being around sometimes. That way, she doesn't get in the way for the other characters to develop. She said that she will never give up on Ren, but they didn't make this the focus, parting away again from the traditional harem show.
Colonel: That guy was so epic. The head butler of the family and you can see why. Handsome, useful, polite, strong and for the most part, hilarious. His voice sounds so good and he's such a good butler. Nothing much to say about him other that he was instantly loveable character.
Now for the others.
Chiharu: That "guy" is the biggest trap in anime ever. He sounds like a girl, he looks like a girl and he has the hairs of a girl. He's just missing some tits and has a d**k in the way.
De Niro: An extra bonus. He's not useful to this series, but he's funny for the most part.
Anastasia: Punish me more.
Kojuurou: That guy was ridiculously hilarious and he's voice by one the greatest seiyuu ever (Nobuyuki Hiyama)
Iwao: A sorry father. He's a total douchebag, because he cannot express himself correctly. He, fortunately, redeems himself at the end.
In the end, the cast of characters deserves a 10/10. They really did make the show for me.
Enjoyment: I loved that show. It was so mindlessly entertaining!! The biggest thing that I loved about this anime was the fact that they never wasted time. The show moves at a fast paced, which gives the chance to see more and more as the show progress. I was also pleased that it was only 13 episodes. Otherwise, fillers this anime would have been full off. This anime beats Sekirei in my terms of a show that was mindlessly entertaining. I also watched this anime with the mind-set that it was going to put mindless. After watching all those serious shows (Legend of the Galactic Heroes for example) it was very refreshing. Good job TAMNM!! 9/10
Other: I would like to mention the multiple references to other anime this show has made (G Gundam, Gaogaigar, Initial D, Prince of Tennis, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and others). The hilarious jokes of G Gundam with Gaogaigar are well placed, because of Tomokazu Seki (Domon Kasshu), Yousuke Akimoto (Master Asia) and Nobuyuki Hiyama (Viral / Gai Shishio). This three combinations of hot-blooded seiyuus was a great add to this series. I also enjoyed the fact that if you ay very carefully, there is only two characters that are in LOVE with Ren and that is Shinra and Ageha. The others certainly like him, but not to the degree of love. To wrap things up, I would like to give congratulations to Shizuka Itou (Shinra) and Rie Tanaka (Ageha) for providing great performance.
Overall: Everybody who's tired to watch shows that needs you to keep your brain open, go watch this show on auto-pilot mode. This is without a doubt a show that I will rematch when I will feel the need to relax. I really recommend it to everybody that has an interest for a stupid-but-yet-great anime.
In the end 8/10 (but if I go with what my heart thinks, 9/10)

After a review on Seed Destiny without covering Seed itself, I thought that a review on Code Geass R2 will be suitable. So here it goes, Code Geass R2 review time.
BTW: Same thing with Seed Destiny, A LOT OF SPOILERS. You don't like this, don't read it.
Story: Let me establish something first. I enjoy this second season, but I do think that it's very overrated. Let's start with the story first. The first two episodes really get me. It was an exciting way to bring the series back. Lelouch losing his memories
...
was a big plot-twist right from the beginning. He has a fake brother, a fake life. He's still an intelligent guy, but he seems very calm and vastly happy with his life... and then the Black Knights come to bring their leader back. Right from the beginning, the crew of the show gets you excited about it. This is where I part away from everyone right here. I didn't like all the time wasted on Lelouch spending time to college again, 'cause there's some useless things in there. Not everything is, but a lot of it. And instead of having the Black Knights ready to kick Britannia's ass, the crew of this production decided to waste more time on reforming the Black Knights yet again. I know that I'm one of the few that think like that about that, but you have to face it. Then they initiate the Chinese Federation Arc. And... wow... I was thinking: "Great job Mister Zero, everyone will follow you now all dress up as you themselves." And then what are they doing... not to much. And they introduced the worst Knightmares of all Code Geass: The Shen-Hu, Li's unit. And what an ugly "K-nightmare" it is. That's just a little complain about this season. Then... guess what... Lelouch comes back to Japan with Chinese allies, to do what?? To go back to college to fill a stupid episode of him dating all the girls in school. This was just so out of place that I look with a horror look at it. I don't mind a silly show having that kind of episode, but at this point where they were in the show, it was just so bad. Soon after, *MAJOR SPOILER*, Shirley is killed. And although I didn't like her character very much, that was very dramatic to see Lelouch trying to ressurect her with all his power and when you see that it's Rolo, you're kinda pissed. Then Lelouch attacks the Geass secret hideout and brings an end to everything about this odd place. The good stuffs started to came out at that time, but it's still slow. I'm gonna fast-forward through some things in there, but the show really started to get awesome when Lelouch gets rid of his father and his mother. The most amazing part show of the show starts right now: Lelouch becomes the emperor of Britannia. His plan is so awesome that show really grabed me at that point and it was finally time!! Then Lelouch kicks the ass of the rebel forces of Schneizel and the Black Knights (oh I forgot their betrayal towards Lelouch...oups). The world will now be govern by this tyrannical emperor. And then surprise... Suzaku shows up dress up as Zero and stabs Lelouch right into the chest. Lelouch dies and the world is now free from this bastard. If I would rate the show by the last episodes (21-25), I would give it a 10 out of 10. The last part is so freaking amazing!! But going by all what happened during the second season, I give it a 8 out of 10. You can see that I skipped some points of the story, but hey, I don't want you to sit 2 hours to read my review, so for the story a 8/10.
Art: Ouch... I'll talk about the art from the mecha point of view, since that I think that Clamp's characters design are okay in all. The mecha from this season are ridiculous. What was good about the first season was the fact that the Knightmares were pretty realistic the way they were presented. The ones that were kinda high-performance were Lancelot, Gurren MKII and the most amazing of all the Knightmares out there: the Gawain. The problem with second season is the gundam-gimmicks that they threw in there. In one year, we pass from land-spinner mecha to flying-over-the-water-gundam-seed mecha. Lancelot Albion was pretty much the Strike Freedom of this show. Gurren MKII became a little to ridiculous with a radioactive-hand that can fly by itself, shoot energy radioactive bullets and throwing radioactive-"beyblade". The Shen-Hu, like I mentionned earlier, is just so ugly. Tristan wasn't great at all. Mordred was so boring and useless. The Shinkirou was so god-modish is not even funny. All those mechas were "unoriginal". The only one that gets out without a scratch from all that s**t that happen is Tohdoh's unit, the Zangetsu, which is still an awesome mecha. Some people were then saying to me that it doesn't make any sense that I didn't like the "too fast change of design of mecha" which has been used in Gundam 00 S1 to Gundam 00 S2 and Mobile suit Gundam to Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. But here's the difference: both Gundam 00 and Zeta Gundam had respectively a 5 years time jump and a 7 years time jump. In the case of Code Geass, they went from land-spinners to wings that shoot energy bullets from it. In one year, the time jump was too short. That's why it doesn't make any sense. So for creating not so great-mechas, but still having good character design, 7/10
Music: Hum... the OST of Code Geass is not bad, but it's far from being an awesome soundtrack. The first opening just scares me out to a point of giving me "K-nightmares" (lame joke). The second opening is good bringing back FLOW who also did the first opening from the first season. 7/10
Characters: Oh boy... a lot of ground to cover in there. Okay... here we go:
Lelouch: Not to much say about him. He was still a great character and I enjoyed his last plan. I really like that character in the first season and I still like him. He's not your typical mecha lead character and he was without a doubt the best main character you could have gave to this serie.
Suzaku: Hew!! That character disgusted me in this season. I kinda liked him the first season, 'cause he was a kind guy even know his reason for fighting for Britannia was kinda lame (changing things from the inside... dude... you were a grunt!!). But I just can't stand him in R2. He became a total dick to everyone and he tortured my favorite woman of that show... KALLEN!! How can you do that to that sexy girl, you screw-up boy!!
Rolo: Please!!! Kill that guy!!! Kill him with fire!!! Kill him with a knife, a nuke, but something!! Even know he died in the show, they should have killed him the moment he showed his face on screen. They gave him a gentle death!!! A GENTLE DEATH!!! He is probably my most hated guy in the entire anime universe up there with Kouta from Elfen Lied. He should have died from a terrible fall from that building when he was trying to save Lelouch from his fall. Sunrise, Bandai, please!!! Anybody, erase that character forever and ever!!
C.C.: To me, she was still a good character, but it seems she had nothing to do in R2. The only real point for having her was to "kill" her, but instead, she lost her memories and they gave them back to her after a few time. She was still funny, but she really had nothing to do.
Kallen: I really liked that character in R1 and I still liked her. She still fight for the same reasons, which is great, 'cause it shows how she really wants to put the misery of Japan to an end. My favorite part of all the show has to do with her, when she beats Suzaku when he came to her for apologizing from using Refrain on her. I really enjoyed her and plus, she is the only character that had full-fanservice view.
Jeremiah: God I love that character!! He went from an arrogant pilot to a loser-villain to a fail-test-of-Geass to an awesome kickass assassin to a loyal soldier of Lelouch. Who will forgot JEREMIAH IMPACTO!!! Great job Bandai!! This is my favorite character of R2.
Quickly:
Lloyd: Still funny. (UTAH!!!)
Rivalz: Useless bartender.
Nina: DIE!!!!
Cécile: Great.
Schneizel: Epic fail at the end.
Shirley: I didn't like her, but she didn't deserved it...
Guilford: Good God!! That guy cannot die!!
Cornelia: I missed her in R2. She brought good things in R1.
Diethard: At the end... POWNED!!!
Tohdoh: He went from cool to kinda... lame... I fell sorry for him.
Marianne: Not that gentle in the end.
Bismarck: He... failed so hard at the end.
Gino: He annoyed me.
Li: Mr. Mysterious-Cough-of-Blood-Disease.
Charles: Wakamoto wasn't so evil in the end.
So in the end: 6/10
Enjoyment: Even know I said all those bad things about R2, I finished the show in two weeks. So, I think that it's pretty easy to blow up in a short amount of time, but I didn't enjoy R2 as much as I enjoyed R1. All of the above sumarized pretty much where my enjoyment came from. 7/10
Overall: My disappointment surely comes from the fact that I was expecting something different from what we got. This is definitely a series that I'm gonna re-watch to make sure that my complains make sense. I might have been to harsh on it, but on the other hand, I think that R2 is so overrated. In the end, it was a good show, but it could have been better in my opinion. Of course, my opinion is not the one from the other, so take my review as a view point and a "dump" on this show. Overall: 7/10

If you're wondering why a review on Destiny before Seed, I will answer. Seed is good and fun. It's not perfect, but it's a good Gundam show. Now, let's jump to the main topic please...Destiny. I'm warning you, I'm spoiling a lot of things, so if you hate that, just skip my review. Oh and also, this review's gonna be much longer than my other review.
Story: Oh boy...Okay let's do this. When I started Destiny, I was hoping that the first half of the show will be more paced that
...
Seed, because there was a lot of time wasted in the first half of Seed. Destiny started with an easy cliché: hijacking of three evil-looking Gundam except the heroic white-blue-red Gundam. But even with that, it was fast paced and very fun. Then the drop of Junius Seven came and what a great idea this team production had. Yeah it's the same old big nasty thing that fashion spacenoids, oops sorry, coordinators want to throw on the evil Earth Federation, oops sorry again, I mean Earth Alliance. But again, even with that, it was making sense and it was thrilling. Then a little bit of the problems started. Those guys who are dropping Junius Seven are not crazy racists, they are more like canon fodder for Shinn and Athrun that get killed in 5-10 minutes. Then, Junius Seven is torn apart, but they are still huge pieces that hit the Earth and cause massive damage to a lot of cities (Québec is one of them. Why Québec, that's not very far from my own house). The Minerva lands on Earth and they get to ORB since it's a neutral country. ORB ally themselves with the Alliance, blah blah blah, they are trying to sink the Minerva, blah blah blah, they can't since Shinn has the Seed Factor and he kicked their asses in a spam of 10 minutes. Quess what? The show is actually very good. From episodes 01 to 12 it's entertaining and I was thinking: If it continues that way, it's gonna be way better that Seed. Boy I was wrong. Kira comes back... in a boring episode of Jesus Yamato with God-modish-Gundam that destroyed a lot of ZAFT junk. This is where everything is drowning. The focus on the main cast (Minerva) is shift to the old cast (Archangel). Some peoples said it's like Zeta when Amuro came back when the A.E.U.G is on Earth. But here's the difference. Amuro got some screentime, but Kamille was still the main character. In Shinn's and Kira's case, it's jumping to one way to the other. When Kira is nowhere fighting, Shinn is the good guy, but as soon as Kira is fighting, Shinn becomes the bad guy. Then a lot of stuff happens, blah blah blah, Kira kills love interest #1 of Shinn, Shinn gets angry, blah blah blah, Shinn obliterates the Freedom and is predictible-tactics-pilot Kira. He obviously survived. Shinn gets a new Gundam and tries to kill Athrun and miss him with an anti-ship sword to a grunt suit. Kira gets a even more God-modish-Gundam: Strike Freedom. Shinn is angry and whinny, blah blah blah, flashback episodes in the last straight of the show. Seed's last battle *copy* and *paste* on the last battle of Destiny: METEOR smashing fun. Shinn got his ass kicked by Athrun like he was nothing and Kira got a perfect on Rey's Legend Gundam. Durandal dies and peace is restore thanks to Kira and the crew of the ship-of-nonsense. Wonderful isn't it. You know what is the worst in all of that, Cosmic Era is one of the few side universe of the Gundam serie that have a huge potential in terms of story and conflicts. Because when you look on paper the story of for example G Gundam and Gundam 00, Seed had more potential. G Gundam: a tournament of Gundam fights. Gundam 00: a group call Celestial Being are making armed intervention to stop all the war in the world. What's the problem with the Seed universe then? Flashbacks everywhere, weird way to develop characters, weird idealogies and clip show episodes. That's the reason why the story of Destiny sucks a lot. Hold on, I have just finish the story part.
Art: If there's one thing that I liked about this show it's the art. Yes, yet again, it's Hisashi Hirai's character design. I know a lot of people had a tough run with him, but I liked his way of doing character and c'mon at least they are very well animated. I know some people had big problems with the Gundam design in this show, but let me say that I like most of them. I will always prefer the Impulse to the Strike. The Saviour was awesome, the three Gundams that got hijacking were cool too. The Freedom is beautiful even if I hate his pilot and the Destiny Gundam is probably next to 00-Raiser my favorite Gundam of all time (good god his wings are f****** great). On the lame note: Strike Rouge is still around (ugly pink painted Gundam), Legend is the Providence of this show and there's nothing original about him. Akatsuki is a Hyaku Shiki with Providence weapons and is kinda lame too. Strike Freedom is a stupid upgrade, the Infinite Justice is...the Justice with few new weapons and the Destoy Gundam(s) are just failed PSYCO Gundam. As for the grunts, I didn't mind the homage to Zeon for ZAFT, but they looked less advanced that their previous design. The CGUE and the GuAIZ are all looking more advanced that the Zaku and the DOM. The Gouf were cool, but again they look less advanced. The Alliance has again their ugly GM and the Windams were just piece of crap. ORB and their mass-produced Zeta, the Murasume, were also cool looking, but they explode like they were nothing.
Sound: The soundtrack of Destiny is good, but it's not the best compared to Kenji Kawai almost perfect score on Gundam 00. The openings of Destiny are high budget music, low budget animation. For the most part, the first three openings are good in their own (the second is the best althought). When you get to the last opening, you have two possibles reactions: you cry in agony or you just laugh with a disgusting face. The endings are great too except the third one.
Characters: Are you ready for it?! Let's start with something, with two words: complete downfall. There's an essential rule in anime: the characters you see in the first-two episodes are the main characters. Let's analyze characters by characters.
Shinn: The greatest idea of this entire show. A trained pilot (not an accidental one). A Gundam lead that pissed you off! Finally something interesting, not one of those whinny-emo kids that are indecisive and don't want to pilot Gundams anymore *cough*Amuro*cough* *cough*Kira*cough* *cough*Kamille*cough*. The problem is that is developpement went nowhere and the show focused on Kira who doesn't change at all. A good opportunity waste by the director and the writer to show a different take on a lead character.
Kira: Oh boy... what a pain in the ass that Kira. He wasn't my favorite protagonist in Seed but he changed and he realize the errors he had done during the run of the show and I liked is developpement. But, I just can't stand him in Destiny. He's the perfect guy who knows everything. Why war is war, why that is way is the better way, blah blah blah, nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. He's Lacus Perfect-Iceman-Bodyguard and they are supposed to be lovers. I'm sorry, they aren't. I always thought that his relationship with Flay was better even know that she was psyco and was using him. The worst part is how he became lazzy with the Strike Freedom. Kira has skills, but he just used the beam spammer button of his mobile suit, which is boring giving the fact it's all stock-footage animations. An other thing that annoys me is the fact that after the war, he's the same guy at the end of Seed. He never changes, so what's the point of having him as the main character after episode 12. Fail idea there.
Durandal: A great leader with the charisma of Char Aznable (Suuichi Ikeda always awesome in everything he does). I know he was gonna be the big boss at the end, but it just seemed way to forced. It's like, oops, now that Djibril is gone, guess we will give him everything. Here... take Requiem and NEO GENESIS and you can start your Destiny plan (wich is the most stupid plan ever). A great character waste again.
Athrun: That troubles my mind also. He obviously wanted to come back to ZAFT after what Durandal told him about what he should do. When he joined the Minerva, Shinn is angry against him for being promoted as a FAITH member given the fact he had just returned from ORB after two years. But they eventually sort go along together and that was great, since it was like a mentor-apprentice friendship. But when Kira appeared, Shinn is angry against Athrun yet again and for no reason at all. Then, after Kira talked to him, Athrun started to questionning the path he chosed. Quess what? Around episode 35, he wants to escape ZAFT for going back to Kira and his amazing friends. Basically, Athrun, in that show, was a punk.
Lacus: I can call her perfect-virgin-Lacus, but maybe I'm to harsh with her. She's not that annoying compared to his "lover" Kira. Nothing really that needs to be mentionned, except one thing. If the director wanted Kira to have the focus, why not killing her. Even if I doubt they're in love, Kira obviously care for her. If she had died, that will have give Kira good reason to fight and discover who wanted to kill her.
Lunamaria: An other great character that doesn't get a lot of screentime. She's a cool tomboy and a kind person. She's not the best pilot, far from it, but she deserved more that what they give her.
Cagalli: Ouf... she was a little bit annoying in Seed, but she wasn't someone who just talked, she was willing to take her courage and fight for what she believed. In Destiny she became a weak-whinny-cry-baby. At the end she redeemed herself a little bit by giving that Yunna-bitch a little lesson of honor, but after she gived the Akatsuki to Neo and she broke with Athrun, which is really weird, since they were the last good couple of this show and they were no reason at all for them to broke. Oh yeah... Athrun needed to go with Meyrin, WTF seriously.
Djibril: Just a cheap racist-vilain and way to one dimensional.
Heine: He was doomed but c'mon give this poor character a chance to shine a little bit. I don't mind him dying, but more like at the end.
The three Extendeds: less effective that the one from Seed, they are just there for filling hole. Stellar and Shinn relationship was kinda bizzare to. One encounter and they are depply in love. I don't buy that. One thing that would have work: Stellar changes side with the help of Shinn and since Durandal is a master in genetic, he could have saved her.
The entire Archangel crew: Just subpar.
Enjoyment: It's though to enjoy something like that. They are just so many things that went wrong in this show. The battle were boring (stock-footage of Seed and new scenes used in the beginning to the very end), anything that wasn't a Gundam was a piece of crap and exploded instantly, time wasted on flashback and clip show. I think that we saw Cagalli's father more in Destiny as a flashback that alive in Seed and how many time that we have to see Nicol getting baseball bat to oblivion even know it has nothing to do with the actual story.
Overall: To those I offend and to those that think I was to forgiven, here's my final comment that will please everyone: I cannot say enough good things about this show. I just hope that this team will never work on a Gundam project again, because they create a dark spot on an near perfect franchise (okay G-Saviour is the worst). If you want more of the Seed universe, there's various manga like Gundam Seed Astray. I cannot comment on them since I didn't read them, but I heard they were pretty good. There's also this little ONA of three episodes call Gundam Seed C.E. 73 Stargazer. It's very good stuff for a 45 minutes show.

This will be very short my friend. 2 mins. only... and it's enough to be spectacular. There's no real reason not to watch it. It will take 2 minutes of your time and your gonna be blown away by the amazing animation and color they put on that 2 min. 30th anniversary product. As you reading this review, go watch it on youtube, there's no real reason not to do it. Even if you don't like gundam, watch it it's spectacular.
Overall: 9/10 (no story, no character, one music, total fun).

Important: Forgive my english please. As a french person it's not always very easy for me.
It's been awhile since I didn't not rewatch this serie and I should do so. This anime is one of my favorite anime of all time for now and I doubt that one day it will dropped from my top ten. I'm doing this review by trying to covince the more people to watch this awesome serie.
Story: Incredible!! It was so well built that when I watch it I was like: EH!!It could happen one day in a not so far future. There's no cliché except for the first episode
...
when Kazuki became the pilot of the Fafner Mark Elf because, currently, is the only one who can do this. Wait... this isn't even a cliché... it's an anime law come to think of it. At the beginning, you may look at this and say: well... it's like kira yamato. He will fight to protect his friends. Fortunately, this is not what will happen, since all of Kazuki's friends will fight one day. People sometime made comparison between Fafner and Evangelion. Yeah... maybe sometime... but I like Faner more than Evangelion (the anime of Evagelion is a little bit disappointing, but the manga is really good). Also some people complain that the show is slow and the battles are boring. Do not forget, there's a lot of character development in that show and I disagree for the battles, there's no stock animation like *cough*Seed Destiny*cough* and they are very thrilling. And the final, just completely amazing and outstanding!!
So for the story: 10/10 (just awesome).
Art: Again, you have Hisashi Hirai doing a lot of characters that we might have seen in his others series. For example: Kazuki is a mix of Shinn Asuka and Athrun Zala in my opinion (not in personnality fortunately). My point is, if you like Hisashi's design like me, you're gonna fall in love with the characters. The mecha are also really special. Like Code Geass, there are really different from the other shows you might have seen. By the way they look, they seem to have no "face". A head but no face. You know what... there a really cool and I can't understand people saying they look like EVA. They are really different.
Art: 9/10
Sound: This is one of the best soundtrack I ever heard. The choice of instruments are excellent. It fits perfectly with the action and the calm moments. Also, I'm a big fan of Angela's opening and I will say that it's probably my favorite opening of all show that I watched until now.
Sound: 9/10
Character: This is where Fafner gets, in my opinion, 12/10. The characters are very enjoyable and interresting, but they put also some "cliché" in their personality. Do you need to care about this cliché, NO!! By the way it's handle, there's no problem with the characters personnality, because there just to lovable. You have your main character who is really calm and happy with is life at the beginning, but want to end all the terror once he gets into the fight. You have the girl who seem not worthy enough to pilot a mecha, but at the end, is one of the best pilot they could get. You have the guy who hate to fight and doesn't want to be involved. The guy who is scare about the battle, the guy who doesn't give a crap about the pilot, but cares about the Fafner, the little girl who is sick and can't do anything, the girl who wants to become a pilot to avenge her father's death and the guy who wants to fight with a giant robot. But all of them will change during this serie (some of them will die during the show) and this is what is really the best about this anime.
Character: 12/10 (I don't care if the limite is ten).
Enjoyment: In 2 episodes, I became impossible to stop. I watched the serie in 3 days and was really amaze by this show that handle the story and the characters like no one does.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Overall: I won't say it's the best show of all time, since I didn't watch necessarily a lot of anime, but I know how to determine what is a really good show. Watch it, you won't be deceived!!
Overall: 10/10 OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

Important: Forgive my english please. As a french person it's always very easy for me.
I watch this serie by pure random choice on animeultima.com. I was searching for a sci-fi show and I notice that the art character were done by Hisashi Hirai, who's one of my favorite character designer. So I watch the show without understanding a lot of things at the beginning and it turns out to be one of the greatest sci-fi show I ever watch ( including anime and real tv serie/movie).
Story: I'm not going to describe the story (after all, you read the synopsis, don't you?). The story began with
...
an easy cliché: the only human raised by the golden race is the saviour of humanity, because he is the most powerfull of the five Nodos (space godzilla... just kidding). But I dindn't mind this cliché. The story follows a path of originality that I like. My only little complain: the Nodos are pretty much invicible and uber-powerfull. At least, there's a good reason why there are like this. Some people complain about this show for being to slow for his first half. I know this is not the most fast-paced action you can get, but it's a built up for an extremely good ending.
Story: For it's originality, despite some "slow moments", 9/10
Art: A lot of ships were pretty well designed. The Argonaut is an awesome ship, the Silver Race have weird design, but I don't understand their bridge at all. The Bronze Race are some zerg caterpillars with acid attack. Although the ships can be more colored (silver, green and silver again), I can't bring myself to hate this design.
Art: 8/10
Sound: One word: EARGASM!! An absolutely amazing soundtrack. The opening made by Angela (soukyuu no fafner, asura cryin') is an outstanding one. The ending is really cool. The soundtrack is a kickass one. If you have the chance to watch this show on a surronded system your gonna cry in joy. I tried it, it's totaly awesome.
Sound: 10/10
Character: An interresting cast with some "dicks" ( Dhianeila's brothers). Age is amusing for the most part, ignoring what's number, but understand every single words that Dhianeila tells him. Some people complain (again?!) about Age and Dhianeila for being almost "perfect" character. I can understand Age (although I don't agree), but I can't understand Dhianeila. She's not perfect, she just know when to take the right decision like a wise and old captain (just kidding). I'll just say that this show needed a little bit more of background about his cast. The design of the characters is very good, but I think Hisashi Hirai need to put just a little bit of originality in his creations. Even so, I like his way of drawning.
Characters: 8/10
Enjoyement: I had a lot of fun watching this show. I was always looking forward to the next episode and I was never disappointed. The first half let you know what's going on and the second half kicks out with those big confrontations of flleet battles. An absolute fun watch!!
Enjoyement: 10/10
Overall: I don't understand why this show is so unknow to the anime public. You should try this show and then judge it. Of course, you need to like a little bit the sci-fi universe, but I can recommand this show to everyone. Just watch it and judge it. For me, it was an amazing discovery in this anime world.

Wow!! I'm surprise. I'm not a "harem with overload of fanservice" fan, having be introduce to a lot of crappy show in that context by friends *cough*rosario-vampire*cough**cough*to-love-Ru*cough*. I watch this anime cauze I heard a lot of good comment about it. So here's my review...
Story: You have twelve episodes to tell a good serie and sekirei had done this part almost perfectly. Cauze in that kind of show, usually, you don't have a big original story. The stories are classic being concentrated to provide what I call "overload of fanservice in
...
every aspect"( if you understand what I mean by "aspect"). This show broke a little bit of those rules by adding a story who has some good moment. Despite the fact that almost every character has oversized-boobs, the fanservice is everywhere, but they don't exagerated things, witch I think was the good move to made. Sure, there's always people who will complain about being a stupid show and I respectfully disagree. I'll explain later in the other segement.
Story: 8/10 for providing a "descent" story for a twelve episodes show.
Art: Amazing. The character are really well draw and animeted. I think there's some character art that are very original and beautiful. I'm not gonna go so far in the art, cauze I'm not very good to explain every single good things about it.
Art: 9/10
Sound: Here's where I'm feeling more ngh. The music is typically not so good in those shows at least in my opinion, but I can undersand the choice of music and the opening doesn't scare the crap out of me *cough*to-love-Ru second opening*cough*.
Sound: 7/10
Character: Wow!! Once again, twelve episode show. I didn't expect to have huge character developpement in that kind of context, but at least some characters had there own personnality and you can understand almost everybody why there doing this and that. Minato never became annoying like I don't know...heu...*cough*Aono Tsukune*cough*. Musubi was a hot-blooded character witch I think was funny and a good move to put that. Tsukiumi was my favorite character ( and no, it's not because of her huge breast). I think she had the classic "I don't need those inferior person" syndrome and finally she need her Ashikabi more than everyone else, but the way it's handle is perfect and at that time, this can became annoying and it never does.
Character: 9/10
Enjoyement: God what's wrong with me!! I ENJOY THE SHOW!! Me, mecha-fan, there's must be something wrong in my mind. Verification: I still love Gundam, yes or no... yes...ouf... No seriously, I think it's an awesome ride and... well that's it... nothing more, nothing less, "ENJOYABLE"!! Enjoyement: 9/10
Overall: I'm gonna remember that show for a long time. Because I'm someone who search for spectacular story with something we never saw before, and the show has some flaws (like every show does) I can't give more than eight, but if your a "harem" fan or someone who simply love anime in general, take a detour on that show, it's worth watching and not necessarily very long.

Zeta wasn't my first introduction to gundam as a tv serie, but when I sat down and watched the first episode, I already have the feeling that this serie was gonna be great. Boy, I was right!! Zeta Gundam kicks out seven years after the original story (I will not go far in the plot). A group under the Federation control, Titans, are created to hunt down Zeon remnants. They opressed the spacenoids and a rebel group rise to deliver the spacenoids from the opression. The AEUG was born.
Story: Although the
...
story seems not necessarily interesting on paper, it surely the greatest story of the gundam serie. I respected Yoshiyuki Tomino for all his great work on the Gundam franchise. This story doesn't waste any episodes and the plot always moves. In the middle of the serie, they introduced a new group and although it changed the Grysp conflict, the final battle is still AEUG vs Titans not like an other show when it's evil organisation of the week (Gundam Wing).
So for the story, a solid 10/10
Art: It's 80's japanese art, so you like it or not. But Zeta broke the "gouffy" mechanical design that was the original gundam serie. A lot of mobile suit are awesome looking (Zeta Gundam, Gundam MK.II, Gabthley, Baund Doc, Byalant, Gaplant, Palace Athene, The O, Barzam, Marasai, Hambrabi and even the freaking Psyco Gundam MK.II).
Art: 9/10
Sound: The music has not necessarily the greatest sound system, but God the music is awesome!! There are some track that I have on my Ipod ( Into the gravity well, A crash!, Resonance and Fleet battle). Really an awesome soundtrack.
Sound: 10/10
Character: A large cast of characters that you hate (Katz) and love (Emma). The characters are more adults looking that the previous serie. I like almost every single character in the show, even if they are real bastards like Scirocco and Yazan. Haman Karn will be my favorite female character in the anime history. Emma was really likeable and a skill pilot in the same time. Kamille as a lead character was freakin' good. He had the good part of Amuro and not his bad part like "I don't want to pilot the Gundam anymore" and he had even enough of guts to punch Char twice if I remember correctly. Katz... watch the show and you will understand why I hate him.
Character: 10/10
Enjoyment: Wow!!! When you get into the story, you cannot stop watching it. Every episode is a rollercoaster ride and it's not the same rollercoaster each episode. Sometime the show is depressing (not like victory gundam although) and dark, but hey, for the best fortunately.
Enjoyment 9/10
Overall: You shall watch this show. There is no reason not to watch it except if... no there is no reason at all! It's not an obligation, but I recommanded to watch the first show to understand the situation a little bit. If you don't want to watch the first serie, it's not a major problem, but don't expect to understand everything. That's it for me, see you next time.
