Muteking the Dancing Hero is a reboot of a classic Tatsunoko Super Hero series from 1980 about a dancing superhero named Muteking... Yeah that's the premise really and it's great to have a show with such a classic and fun feel!
The main story follows Muteki, a street dancer who just moved to "Neo San Francisco," with his Aunt and is caught up with the local Corporation Supergiant, OctinQ, a basic parody on Apple and Tesla, who plans to use their own product and advertising such as a Virtual Idol, named Aurora, to turn the citizens into an energy source for evil aliens. Muteki meets DJ,
...
who entrusts him with the power of Muteking! A Tokusatsu-esque hero who defeats aliens with the power of dancing to the classic 80s theme song every episode, as cheesy as it is, it's pretty awesome. I personally never get tired of this kinda stuff and this show has so much heart and love for a generation of hero that's pretty bygone. It's a basic anti-corporation/monopoly message and supporting smaller businesses, but it works well and feels like something from the 1980s while also feeling pretty sleek.

Shocked how underrated this series is for being a pretty big hit in Japan, like MMOs and wish more series were about the strategy and teamwork aspect other than just powering up to beat the villain with friendship? This is a series for you! Our Main Character (username: Rakurou) is a gaming recluse who only plays the shittiest games on the market for the thrill of challenging himself until one day he joins the most popular MMO in Japan at the time, seeking a new thrill in an actual well made game for once and uncovers the many mysteries about this mysterious AAA MMO's world
...
and it's bosses. Yet upon arrival he is spawn killed by a world boss and cursed to only be able to wear a headpiece and basic knives, now having an even greater challenge due to his near permanent nerf until the boss is defeated. The games plot is tied to many world events that no single player has ever finished due to the high skill gap and challenge required. Outstanding action and detail about the games mechanics and world are given, the grind is shown off from enemies to weapon crafting, and the game lore of NPCs who are almost too real at times always keep things fresh. One extremely cool thing is that Rakurou will log off and play other games to come up with other strategies and we see what other kings of games he plays, one in particular is a cheaply made fighting game in the vein of Hokuto no Ken, or another castle plundering MMO which has had it's economy destroyed due to toxic players. The first raid boss arc was just finished as of writing this and it went in detail on abilities, game strategies, team work/co-op, all done in quite a long stretch of chapters, each going into different phases of the fight and the detail on the bosses attacks, buffs, defense, and triggers. This has me extremely excited for future encounters and what's to come next.

JUST READ AND COMMIT THE MIRACLE!
This is LITERALLY the BEST manga I've ever read. It just take 3 chapters for you to know how GREAT this manga is, I'm the smartest person in the world, so I kept reading and it was just getting BETTER!
The story is about so much, I may be the "smartest person in the world", but I'm constantly thinking about the themes and messages of the series. But we have a boy who is fanatic about Papico [an adult film star going through hard times with her family and the media constantly harassing her] and wants to surpass his fathers standards
...
and legacy and become his own person. Through an odd meet-up at the end of the first chapter their fates are intertwined with the odd sci-fi journey ahead of them. The best part about these characters are their relationships and experiences. They act like proper human beings, the scenes by the restaurant and the bath take their time to introduce themselves to the reader and develop them as people. This manga is about their relationship and growth, which is outstandingly written and has outstanding development.
The art may look pretty at the beginning, but it gets so much better as it goes on. Oku's CGI work and paneling is beautiful, I heavily recommend reading how he does his paneling and art, he's very ahead of his time. He tries many angles and compositions, it's outstanding how he's able to get this high quality of art out in such a short time. Easily some of the best of the industry.
But the best part must be the author referencing his other works throughout the manga. He makes his characters say: "Hey, have you ever read Gantz or Inuyashiki? IT'S REALLY GREAT!". These scenes are great, they're really funny and keep it charming in it's own way. Oku's very self aware in his writing and knows how goofy a story may seem to an average reader, in it for the action. Yet in a way the references also stay in line with the themes of the story.
So, plot? There is tons!
Characters? Outstanding, they act as real and natural as anyone would in these situations.
Narrative? Masterfully written, there is a huge sense of progression and evolution between the characters!
Antagonist? Tons! The series takes its roots from classic Tokusatsu series like Ultraman and Gridman, while also giving commentary about the nature of human beings, society, and the media.
If you really love manga as a whole and wants to make your soul feel purified, this is the manga for you!

Like Kengan Ashura? You'll love Omega!
Easy review aside, KO is the sequel to the hit martial arts manga and takes place 2 years after the Kengan Annihilation tournament and follows two new protagonists, Kogu Naroshima and Ryuki Gaoh, a hot headed street fighter, and a mysterious, calm, yet secluded from reality warrior from the "Inside", the same as our previous protagonist, Tokita Ohma, and their journey into the Kengan matches and a mysterious organization destroying it from the inside called, "The Worm."
Kengan's fights and art are as good as ever, impactful action, detailed artwork and martial arts explanations, and the fighting banter is as
...
good as ever. Omega is as strong as it's predecessor and may easily well go beyond it as well.

Absolutely brilliant, Golgo 13: The Professional (1983) is slick, macho, and sexy. Directed by the great Osamu Dezaki (episode director of Astro Boy 1963-66, Dororo 1964-65, Ashita no Joe) it's another brilliant hit from one of the biggest anime directors of all time.
Fun Fact: This is the first anime film to have 3D CGI
Golgo 13 is the longest running currently releasing manga franchise of all time since 1968 (as of writing the 3rd longest manga ever made only under Dokaben and Kochikame) and one of the highest selling in manga history, yet Golgo hasn't recieved too many adaptations, only 2 films, 2 live action films,
...
and a 2 season anime from 2008-2009, which is shocking for a series so influential and popular.
The series follows Duke Togo, Golgo 13, a gun for hire who always gets the job done, and that's all you need to know. He's quiet, always gets the ladies, and moves on once a job is over.
The movie follows Duke after the successful assassination of the son of the oil baron named Leonard Dawson, who throughout the movie tries to enact revenge on Duke using a genetically modified assassin named Snake, and is also aided by the FBI, CIA, and Pentagon to take down Duke.
The presentation of this movie is phenomenal, from the opening scenes of Sicily's sunny atmosphere to the neon lighted nights of California, to the skyscrapers of New York City.
The soundtrack is utterly fantastic to the opening of 'Pray for You, an OUTSTANDING piece of music which stays in line with the theme and story of the film, with outstanding visuals and a lot of outstanding music that keeps the movies blood pumping macho atmosphere, or when it needs to a somber song to contrast with Golgo's murderous sprees.
What ends in one of the coolest and flashiest final scenes in animation and action film history, leaves on possible stealth commentary on the macho/action films of the era with the final twist at the end.
Golgo 13: The Professional is an outstanding and influential film that absolutely defines that classic 1970-80s macho era of storytelling and always keeps the hype, fun, and action flowing.

Agravity honestly started off really strong with an interesting premise of 4 spacemen who were the last humans after the Earth kicked the bucket. It started off interesting by giving us a goal of finding a way to keep humanity going and exploring a whole universe of interesting planets and the possibility of seeing tons of aliens sounded great yet 34 chapters later it's become a monotonous mess of a series with no real identity. The series is constantly using the same few jokes or dragging jokes out for multiple chapters making it simply annoying. For a more gag oriented series it's more interested in
...
explaining jokes rather than telling them. The characters started interesting but they're all so dull and uninspired from Chris, who looks like a girl (that's the only joke), Baba who's a horny sex addict engineer which could sound interesting if they ever actually did anything with him, Saga their leader, who has no real personality whatsoever other than "being a punk", and Geralt the scientist who is the smartest but more of a goofball than the rest of them. The series just drags on with annoying exposition dumps and pointless over-descriptive dialogue and the tone is all over the place. Honestly if you want a more interesting sci-fi gag series with fu, well-written characters with a really interesting world, just read or watch Gintama instead.

So far at 7 chapters we're still really early on but, this is absolutely a series to look out for. If you're into the Kaiju or Tokutatsu genre you may really enjoy this series and it really does have potential to blow up.
The story follows Kafka, a man who works for a Kaiju cleanup crew who once wanted to be apart of an Anti-Kaiju organization to protect the innocent and fight back against mysterious Kaiju who have been showing up around the country. One day after meeting a new worker he is suddenly transformed into a half kaiju/half human and wishes to use this
...
newfound power to fight back.
Similar in a way to Attack on Titan but it already feels like it has it's own identity and direction in mind and wants to be a Kaiju battle series which I'm personally all for. The art is clean and phenomenal and so far the Kaiju designs themselves are really unique and interesting, especially Kafka's himself. He has alot of emotion and expression in his Kaiju form and I can't wait to see what this series has it stock.

At the moment of this review Mashle stands at 18 chapters, Mashle for me started out slow and seemingly like it would be axed but Mashle really picked up at Chapter 3 and has since been getting better and better with some of the best action and fights in recent Jump. The story follows Mash Vandead, a young teen with no magical powers of his own and is sent off to magic school to become a Divine Visionary. The series heavily mogs on Harry Potter which is personally really great for me as I'm not a fan of Potter at all. Mash himself is hilarious
...
and such a great character to see in action. Characters like Lance and Duat are great and their reactions to Mash are hysterical. Artwise the series has heavily improved, objects of importance and spells have such cool and unique designs. The series is so funny and really knows how to build up hype during a battle and I'm hoping this series is here to stay.

Inyushiki is a story about power, humanity, and 2 different generations.
Inyushiki is a story about what these 2 different generations of people do with this power, yin and yang, black and white. An old man, on his last days and a normal teenager/young adult like most of you and even me. Someone who's lived a long life and someone who is still in their early and immature years.
The core of the series is the reflection of both of these characters who one day lost their humanity due to a higher extraterrestrial power, and are given a new chance at life by hurry.
Inyuashiki is
...
our main hero, and unlike most protagonists is a 58 year old office worker, and only had 3 months left to live. Shishigami is an atypical teenager, he loves manga yet doesn't care much about others. He sees life as a game at times. After the accident both characters are reborn as machines capable of destroying or even saving humanity.
The series takes a lot of time to reflect how they use their powers, Inuyashiki uses it to save people in danger and of diseases, while Shishigami uses his powers to kill innocents, both actions help both characters feel human in their own nature. We see their worlds, their actions, how they perceive each other.
I see a lot of people who love Inyushiki, as do I as he is the message that our older generation can be wise and important. At the beginning he is heavily ignored, pushed around, and alone. Similar to Shishigami in a way, Shishigami is using his powers to kill, steal money, and get his kicks, something probably anyone would do. People hate this character saying there is no relatable features to him yet most people would do those exact kinds of things that he started out doing, there's always someone you hate, or something you want and that's what makes Shishigami so endearing, and eventually his actions get the best of him and everything begins crashing down even when he tries to rectify his actions. He's so stuck in his power fantasy at times and is oblivious to other people is what makes his character sad, as if he never was human to begin with.
There's honestly so much more I could say about there series in discussion but I wanted to get my initial thoughts out.

Kaiji: Against All Rules is a step up from an already outstanding first season. So much passion, ferocity, hype, and love went into what is easily one of Madhouse's best work to date and ends off with a bang. Every episode ends up building up with flawless execution and payoffs. Kaiji is an incredible character and every villain is so enjoyable that I was glued to the screen in anticipation for what would happen next. Do yourself a favor and watch/read and here's to hoping one day we will see a continuation of this incredible series.
The Future is in our Hands.
