Long story short Sousei no Taiga is a Seinen version of Dr Stone. And it does it's job well.

MC too OP, MC has harem, there isn't anyone comparable to MC in greatness, OPness, usefulness, chadness and the like.
Theres one impressing leader neanderthal, a useful blacksmith, and very nimble and strong female neanderthal.
Unfortunately you could say everyone except these 4 characters is either a cannon fodder or a filler.

The style is absolutely great and fits this manga's dark and brutal story.

wondering why the rating is so small. its very enjoyable with good story and interesting characters (the main ones at least)

art is good enough and gets better with time, it also becomes more drastic, dark and serious whenever a situation requires it

its especially interesting how main characters are fighting, they have unique fighting styles, skills, abilities and magic, that they use both individually as well as in combination.

really loving the occasional serious-romantic moments.

i also like the world. its a dark medieval fantasy setting with dungeon 'tower' ? i think so. whats cool is how many unique abilities are there. there are also demihumans and good ... looking girls/boys

Great story with not-too-OP MC, inspiring art, ok world and beautiful women. But im 100% its going to change

World:
This is slow-paced isekai where character starts as a baby in medieval-fantasy world with many races and demihumans.

MC:
The fact that MC didnt quickly became 10 or 20 years old and is still a child instead, is a plus.
MC has cool and somewhat unique powers. Although he became too OP with time, it was masked somewhat and it took some time as well. MC being OP is common issue for isekais so if this manga suddenly became bad it wouldnt be weird. But it could be worse.
Also ... there are inconsistencies with his power.

Other characters:
Unfortunately side characters are poorly thought, theyre just filler and made as poorly as possible. Except for women. Actually only women are displayed somewhat ok and get some developments. But even women are not completely distinct, they dont have rich personalities either.

Story:
Story is very good actually. at least above most isekais


Summary:
although im giving this story a 10, thats due to the enjoyment i felt.
HOWEVER i feel this manga is becoming like popular slime isekai, and shares the same issues:
- stupidly op mc with god's powers
- no strategy, no smart tricks or wisdom, just OPness
- training is showed but theres not much thought put into it and the intensity is small, so even though MC is OP like naruto was at the end of shippudens, they didnt really show the effort and smart training methods to get there
- everyone loves MC to the point where its annoying
- all characters except MC are filler
- MC has 100 waifus that want to marry him
- MC doesnt ever face any danger and any threats are deleted in few seconds

I like fantasy but i dont like poorly thought nonsense, thats why im afraid this manga will only get worse from now on. But it was a pleasant read so far!

Story 3/10
Reincarnating as slime could be interesting, just like reincarnating as a spider, goblin, orc, or anything else really. And in the same way it doesnt have to be.
Its supposed to be survival, but mc is so op that theres no threat from first to last episode.
Not only that but episodes dont show anything impressing, its just OP rimuru being great and loved by his harem of both female and male characters.

Characters 1/10
Which makes the characters appear like dull copies or NPCs. Same behavior, same annoying personalities, manners and jokes.
MC is not great either, hes mostly acting in exemplary fashion, and with him being completely ... OP, theres not much to comment, and everything he does is 100% predictable.

The reason its highscore on MAL is high is because its the first interaction with isekais for most of Slime's fans. Isekais in itself are great, but this show isnt.

You rarely find a show with good characters, world, story, songs and art.

Characters 9/10
Chars are good, its enjoyable to watch MC, and all other main characters are likable as well. Theres a harem made of beautiful girls but these girls have personalities, skills and big developments, so thats ok.

Story 7/10
My only concerns are that there's little characters and little battles, and the show could be more brutal and dark, show more struggle and suffering.
But these are just my personal whims.
If I had to rate story objectively while ignoring my personal tastes, I'd say most episodes were rather interesting.
I think what makes MT great is not ... just the story, but everything else too, and that includes the smallest and most random things that happen in every episode.

It's difficult to judge due to the good start, weak middle and probably an end that couldn't be saved.
This creation can be described as an isekai survival in a dark medieval fantasy world which is the main reason I got interested in it. I've always been a fan of these concepts.


== Beginning 8/10 ==
The story starts slightly boring but pleasurable, and that was enough to keep me reading. First attempts of survival and betterment even got me in awe. However the longer I kept reading, the more disappointed I was getting.


== Middle 2/10 ==
Copy of Slime Isekai
Unfortunately it soon becomes clear that this manga is ... just an slightly darker copy of Slime isekai and the fact that I'm a fan of dark isekais doesn't help. That however is its smallest issue. Once you get through the well-made beginning, story starts displaying poor planning, inexperience, and improvisation of its authors.

The problem of OP MC
And the biggest issue is definitely the fact that MC becomes stupidly OP, invincible, and literally a god, just few chapters in. That's a huge disappointment because the concepts I've been reading this manga for are no longer there. At some point the struggle, story and survival cease to exist, and you're left with OP MC and his dull harem.

Other characters
Other characters than MC are terrible, and even if there was some promise for some of them, all women got degraded to sex objects without personalities (they seem like copies of each other) and i dont remember any impressive male characters either. Perhaps it's better to focus on quality than quantity. There's indeed a lot of characters and they're all the same. Can't speak about enemies because we simply didn't get to know them, as they all quickly became food.

Duels and Battles
Duels let alone battles are showed terribly, such attempts were painful to look at and it was hard to figure out what are they showing. Even if I could bear with the ways simple fights were portrayed, its different matter when it comes to battles. Not only was the 'strategy' either completely absent or half-assed, but also the panels was headache-inducing.

So if you like the struggle and want to read a story about survival attempts in a dark medieval fantasy world then go on and start reading it, but you will stop like I did. It's heavily based on slime manga/novel and it even performs the same mistakes, unironically characters become stupidly op stupidly fast in both series. What a waste.

At first I truly enjoyed it and it even got me some ideas, but the quality drops quickly and readers are left with mixed feelings. I dropped this after 34 chapters, don't know if I'll come back.

Most overrated anime on MAL

Story 3/10:
Assassin reincarnating as.... another assassin is just a boring concept. The little twist is that now he has magic, but the concept still seems unimpressing.
That said even dull plot could be made into enjoyable anime, but that was not the case here. It will be a tough watch even if you're a fan of assassination.

The biggest issue of this story apart from its key selling point being incredibly generic and unimaginative is that everything is displayed in poor manner, with daunting 'noble' habits, manners, events and mores.
All that with pinky/flashing color palette and art and characters looking like dolls.
I watched ... a few animes with nobility in it and not a single one of them had this poor doll-like shallow art style.

Although its description of art more than of story, I believe it had to be included here. Lets now talk about the actual story.
In my opinion every episode should be interesting on its own, yet here every episode resembles a filler. Apart from being uninteresting, episodes are pulling the story forward towards the climax and MC's aim, instead of themselves being substantial in any way.

Unfortunately most screentime is wasted on manners of the nobility, on small talk and doll-like girls trying to tease MC. Its a total harem with boring characters and story.

Art 2/10:
As mentioned above, everything is 'cute' and 'sweet', every girl including mc's mom looks like 10year old. Not only that but color palette is barf inducing, and generally everything looks as bad, plastic, fake, shallow and unrealistic as possible. Didnt see a single good looking character or scenery.

Sound 1/10:
So annoying, every female including mc's mother has a 'cute' voice of an 8 year old girl, intentionally speaking in 'sweet' and annoying manner. I dont remember any good songs either

Characters 0/10:
As said above, all the girls are doll-like and lack personality, and all of them are in love with MC. there are only 2 male characters besides MC and they arent interesting either. EVEN MC is just bland and overpowered. The moral of the story is supposed to be that even assassins can have soul and free will, yet we are getting a soulless, OP MC without personality.

I dont know why I watched it. And i dont know why it has a score above 7 when it should be somewhere around 1-4.
