This is just trash tv at its finest. The story isn't very deep. The charachters arn't that complex. However, it has a fun premise, with competent execution, and a cute message. Its not going to give you some profound realisation or enhance your outlook on life, but if the premise of an ugly guy who was bullied getting some mad glow up, then helping others who were like him before sounds like some premium trash tv content to you, I'm sure you'll enjoy it for what it is. I sure did.
