Both some nice just fun episodes to hold us over until the next season in a few months. The baseball episode had a ton of funny moments with players knocking each other out basically every at bat. As a huge baseball fan myself it's fun to see it in anime no matter what the occasion is. The heroes definitely went all out especially each team captain really putting the pressure on their team to win. Even going back to the game after stopping the villain driving that truck. But all the students from both classes that we've come to know each using their quirks for
...
different advantages while batting and fielding. Overall the first episode definitely lighter and just for fun with plenty of good baseball moments.
The second episode a bit more serious but also funnier. With a villain that makes people laugh for hours with his quirk its bound to be a fun time too. Deku got the spotlight appealing to this laughing villains good nature. The villain wasn't really hurting anyone, not really, just vandalism paintings and making people laugh. Nothing overtly harmful or malicious. So its easy for Deku to see why someone like him with a useful quirk would turn to crime. Deku did s good job making the villain see hoe he could help people and spread his paintings without causing any more of a nuisance. It wad funny seeing tough guys like Bakugo and Endeavor cracking up without being able to stop. Overall another fun episode that had a good message too.

Perfect way to end the first half of Spy x Family. Just the three Forgers spending time together having fun despite the high pressure situations. This anime has been such a great time. Rarely do anime capture everything they do so well. Spy x Family is pure quality at every step, there's really nothing to complain about when it comes to this show. Something that doesn't really happen with an overwhelming majority of anime. From start to finish of this half of the season everything clicked, everything worked so well and fired on all cylinders. The cast, the story, the animation, the music, the atmosphere,
...
the tone, the comedy, the action, the drama, the character relationships, it all was done to a high degree of quality. Spy x Family will go down as one of those all time great animes that anyone can watch and everyone will love. It has something for everyone and even things people normally wouldn't like are done well. The main family dynamic is one of the strongest in all of anime. Loid, Yor and Anya make such a perfect stitch work family. Its beautiful seeing them care about each other. Loid trying to best to keep them all together, for more than just his organization's mission. The comedy works every time with Anya telepathy being used to provide tons of laughs. Anya herself getting spotlight in her school environment was amazing. Loved all her shenanigans with her classmates good and bad. They help make the supporting cast just as memorable. There might not be much high octane spy action as one would think but that's for later in the story. There's many exciting moments to be adapted in the second cour. Glad its only a short wait away.

Masterpiece. Not afraid to call this anime a masterpiece. Front to back excellent storytelling spearheaded by the most perfect main character an author could write. While there may be some I enjoy more, Bojji checks every single box for a well written, well developed and well rounded protagonist. Bojji not only drives the story but showcases a message that speaks to the heart. One that no matter how looked down upon you are, or no matter how people might underestimate you, we can all get stronger and we all have worth. Despite how alone you might feel there's hope to keep going and become better.
...
Bojji brought many tears to my eyes throughout this show through not only his suffering but his perseverance. Plenty of happy tears were shed seeing Bojji rise above the pain surrounding him.
While having one of the best anime companions to ever be written. The finale truly brought it all home showing how much Kage lit Bojji up. Kage is absolutely Bojji sun, bringing out the in Bojji at every turn. Always there to give Bojji encouragement and support. A true best friend and ally to Bojji, someone he needed for a long time and finally found. I'm so happy they are going off to journey more together. It might be a miracle for them to stay on the same path for the rest of their lives but if anyone deserves a miracle its these two.
Its definitely the two lead characters who bring this show up above most others. But that's not to discredit the other amazing aspects around them that help it stand out as well. The supporting cast is extremely strong. Hiling alone top tier anime mom but others like the Big Four, Despa, Desha, Hokuro, and even Daida have excellent writing given to them so we see their characters grow. All the way down to the minor characters like Gigan, the Underworld Guard Captain, and Mitsumata get spotlight and have great moments.
The villain Miranjo is probably the most polarizing and prickly part of this whole story. While some might consistently condemn her, which I understand, I can allow her rebirth since she vows to help as many people as possible for the rest of her life. Its not a perfect solution but it works well enough. Daida by her side Miranjo will atone. Bosse himself also kind of a villain in all this, he took away so much from Bojji its hard not to dislike the guy. Bosse acted very selfishly but we could see it didn't sit well with him what he'd done once he actually reached the end of the rainbow so to speak. Once Bosse attained ultimate power it all felt pointless. All these characters are just so well written they're all a complicated web of motivations and feelings.
Topping off the impressive writing is the production. Top notch the whole show as well. Wit Studio outdid themselves with this one. Exceeding anything it thought we would see in this show when I started it. I could tell from the previews it would look good but wow did it look good! Every action scene pops and has such great flow. Its amazing to see an already well written story get to look so good too.
Overall this is a show that deserves every ounce of praise it's been given and then some more. It blew me away the whole ride and idk if I've ever cried so much watching an anime. I grew very attached to Bojji and that's something that will never go away. So I mist gush and heap congratulations to everyone involved in such an experience. I will never forget something as special as this.

An emotional end to this thrilling arc. I could never thank Ufotable enough for the care they put into this show. Its astounding how much they love this work and show that through not only the animation but every little detail. The entertainment district arc is definitely a rollercoaster ride, so many ups and downs throughout every episode. Seeing all our heroes trying like crazy to beat these upper moon demons made it a joy to watch each week. Tanjiro of course being our main had tons of cool highlights. Facing Daki that first time holy hell, bleeding eyes and all he just wrecked her
...
shit. Later with Uzui tag teaming Gyutaro and the exhilarating moments of that fight. The trio Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke all getting to fight together for the first time was awesome. Uzui himself had so many badass scenes. His fight against Gyutaro holy hell that was insane, idk how they made it look so good.
Every episode was high class top tier work all around. Each individual character got more than one moment to shine which is something I love to see. Ufotable gave us some of the best animation I've ever seen in an anime period. Like these folks are the goats by a mile and a half. Just crazy how good this show looks even in smaller moments or when there's no action. You can tell that Ufotable has honed their craft of this show. They are absolutely dedicated to making demon slayer have the best adaptation possible and it shows in every second of the show. I could've have asked for more of this adaptation. Ufotable really got in their bag and delivered one of the best arcs in anime I've ever seen. Its a gem of a show and I'm glad to have been here to see it.

A wholesome end to a wholesome show. I wouldnt mind low drama comedic romance shows with a set couple that doesn't really stumble much along the way. Instead outing for story drama over character drama. This show being very similar to last year's Tonikawa with a sweet couple being cute most of the time. Tamahiko and Yuzu were a delight to see each episode with the adorable antics always bringing a smile. The situation is almost reminiscent of beauty and the beast, instead of a beast though its more of the ray of sunshine and the pessimist. Tamahiko being in a very dark place when
...
we first meet him understandable after losing function in one arm and being cast out of his family. Yuzu coming into his life bringing a new look for Tamahiko to see the world. Just them spending time together changed things for the better. With a great supporting cast of people to spice things up from time to time. Tamako, Ryo, Hikaru and Kotori all contributing to the story and helping or changing our main duo. The last bit witnessing the earthquake was a good end to give them a big push. Forcing Yuzu to bring her feelings to light so her and Tamahiko could come together and cement the relationship. They do belong together and make each other better. I very much enjoyed seeing a good romance with a likable lead couple. I hope there's more to tell.

DISCLAIMER: The Mugen Train arc tv recut is NOT part is Season 2! The Entertainment District Arc will be Season 2!
Getting off the train for a second time, the train arc redux has completed. This tv recut of the heavily emotional arc finishing its short batch of episodes. I can definitely say this arc hits hard all the same even in this new format. There are some wonky endings to episodes since it wasn't initially made to be cut into smaller chunks from the movie format. We got a lot more of Rengoku himself with this tv recut since that first episode following his
...
before the train showed Rengoku in the protagonist role. I liked that episode a lot since it just gave us more time with him. Given how the arc ends it was nice to experience more with Rengoku.
The actual movie contents itself were just as good as before. Loved seeing more focus on Tanjiro guilt for his family dying while he was away. Its not something anyone could just move on from and we saw as he left his dream that Tanjiro family is always on his mind, hes always got them in his heart. Inosuke and Zenitsu got some really funny dreams kinda just goofing off, some nice moments of levity before the pain. Rengoku waking up and demolishing the parts of Enmu that were train bits is always awesome, Rengoku with his flame breathing techniques let the animators show off.
Enmu himself wasn't the most captivating villain but he didn't need to be. Just had a simple purpose of wanting to impress Muzan and couldn't accomplish that goal. But he wasn't the real highlight for the antagonist of this arc. Akaza coming in at the end really steals the show and has a grand entrance. His fight with Rengoku is one of the most visually pleasing spectacles in all of anime. Pure eye candy dripping off the screen in every moment. Its hard to gush anymore about it when its just so good and been praised hundreds of times over.
This arc might have overstayed its welcome but I was glad to witness it again these months later. It does the manga immense justice and elevates the story to a new height. Aside from weird editing the tv recut of this arc hits just as hard as the movie version, plus the few added or extended scenes and the extra first episode were good. Cannot wait for the entertainment district arc to begin next week!

A great episode to end this first cour on. Rudy, Eris and Ruijerd working together while on the road heading back to the Asura Kingdom. These first set of episodes for Mushoku Tensei have been fantastic. Not only at setting up the world but also all are major characters at this point in the story. Rudy of course being a great main character to follow. People have of course been very adverse to him because of his old ways but that's really just part of his charm and character growth to me. He's not a perfect person who's just gonna be reborn into this world
...
and suddenly be the biggest badass around. Sure he's powerful and and has an innate talent for magic and fighting but he's still got a lot of progress to make. Which makes him interesting to watch seeing how he learns more about this world and how he just operate in it. Does he have his perverted moments? Yes he does but its not horrible imo.
By the end of these episodes we can see him maturing anyways. In his old life Rudy was the epitome of a loner but now at the end of this episode we see he's learning to not shoulder all the responsibility himself and to finally trust others, I'd say that's a major step in the right direction. Rudy being a great lead is just the tip of the iceberg for this series too. We have tons of great characters to enjoy like Sylphy, Roxy, Eris, Ruijerd, Ghislaine and even Paul to a degree. All of them are very important with many having their own massive character arcs we'll see later.
We've already seen how much Eris has changed in her few years with Rudy along with Ruijerd learning to not be so rigid, Sylphy opening up out of her shell and Paul after the displacement seeing the value in his family. These great characters on top of the immaculate production values this show has! My god does it looks so pretty! The action scenes are rich and vibrant motion while the backgrounds are gorgeous. The music fitting well with each scene. The series really has it all and immerses you into its world with these characters. There's so much more to see later on too. We've only just begun seeing how the displacement event has changed things and there's a lot of change that happened because of it. I cannot wait to see more episodes this summer when Mushoku Tensei returns!

The second webtoon anime comes to a close. Definitely say I liked this one better than the previous. God of High School does have some problems no doubt but I enjoyed this anime so damn much. Didn't quite know what was coming with this show other than a big tournament and some cool looking fights. Well we got that in spades and then some! This show didn't let up off the throttle for even a half second! Kept going and going and going jumping the shark at every turn and I loved for doing that. Where we started and where we ended were completely different
...
places in such a short amount of time but that didn't bother me so much, least not as much as I'm sure it did others.
The way I value and rare anime is absolutely themes then characters then story then visuals. That being said I think this show is one of the rare exceptions for me. Because the themes and story aren't quite there imo but holy hell are the visuals amazing to look at constantly and the characters are a lot of fun. There's tropes out the woodwork with this but it didn't seem to bother me. The story kinda shoots itself in the foot multiple times but skimming past things that should probably be explained. This is definitely one that would benefit from being 23 to 26 episodes opposed to just the 13 we got. But not gonna judge something by what it didn't give us since that's dumb. Better to just look at what were got and judge that.
So I'll say the characters are awesome and easy to root for. Our main trio of Mori, Daewi, and Mira are all badass who I love to see on screen. They all get great moments to shine throughout the show. Even with Mori being centerpiece the other two still get highlights. The supporting cast with Ilpyo being my favorite of those and the other tournament competitors being pretty cool especially early on. Park Mujin was always a mysterious dude who seemed to be up to his own thing but I liked his style and how he helped the trio out more towards the end. His squad with the commissioners and SIX were cool. Nox as a main antagonist group were kinda meh since they didn't do a whole lot. Jegal however I really liked the more we saw him. An easy villain to despise and want to see the heroes beat. His powers were cool too.
Of course I'd be dumb to not rave and gush over the incredible animation. Mappa basically outdid themselves and keep putting out quality work over and over again. Can always trust them to make a show look great with its fights and this amps me up even more to see Jujutsu Kaisen animated later this week! Overall I'd say this is a fun kinda just enjoy the fights type anime with some good characters and a middling plot that coulda just used some more time to flesh out. But I thoroughly enjoyed this show for what it gave us. 85 out of 100.

The titular romcom of the season comes to a close. I'll say flat out I absolutely enjoyed this more than most people. Simply because I probably like Kazuya a lot more than most people do. He's got his weak moments but really that just adds to his depth and realism in my mind. He's certainly the most human romcom protagonist I've seen in a long time. Not dense, not got a harem, not stupidly confident for no reason, not a constant downer who thinks girls don't like him when they clearly do. Most of the common tropes are not within Kazuya. Now I know people
...
rag on him but I firmly belief that's because they see more of themselves in him than they are used to or are willing to admit. He's very relatable in how, well to put it bluntly, how pathetic he is. Because dammit I'm pretty pathetic too! A lot of us are. People like to get online and act all cool and tough but a lot if not most of us are extremely pathetic. Not exactly cream of the crop here guys alright. But I'll get off my Kazuya soap box now.
Aside from that the strongest part of this show is the female characters of course. Chizuru the angel of all angels one of the best female anime characters this year by far. Someone who's simply incredible while also seeming realistic. She definitely takes care of Kazuya and keeps him at bay most of the show. He was right calling her a crutch because she supports him even in his darkest moments. Someone we could all use in our mostly pathetic lives. She's best part of the show for sure. Mami the one we all hate to our core, pretty sure that's universal. Ruka whom isn't the best but still not awful. Definitely a good girl if a bit pushy. Finally Sumi who is the cutest thing this side of anything! The most precious being that could ever be!! But for real even with just one episode Sumi is most adorable. Can't go wrong with how this story does it's female characters and they're all great in the roles they play within said story.
Speaking of the story as it goes is interesting enough. Kazuya trying to fool his family isn't a novel idea but it works here. They somehow buy it even if they're hard to convince since Chizuru is so out of Kazuya league. His grandma definitely had some great scenes in her highlight episodes especially the new year's shrine visit. Kibe and Kuri were some great bros. Kazuya has some solid friends there to support him to. As the episodes go there's not much of a through line other than keeping the charade up for everyone while of course a few find out regardless. All the scenarios were fun to see and I don't think there's one episode I didn't like.
Art and animation looked great for a simple romcom. Usually studios skimp out on shows like these but TMS always delivers and they've got themselves another jewel with this show. I'm super happy were getting a season 2 and announced so quick! Really enjoyed this one. 85 out of 100.

What is there to say about Fruits Basket Season 2. It's been a true delight to watch these past months. Fruits Basket is a story near and dear to my heart. Seeing it animated with such devotion from the staff and cast is a very rare gift in anime. We usually don't see source material handled with this much care. Continuing right from where the first season left off last year this second season has been even better. The story keeps improving as it goes with more reveals, incredible character growth, and shocking moments. Every single episode had been beautiful to not only look at
...
But to dive into and explore this world Takaya created.
This season going from the beach arc to the rest of their second year in high school has been immaculate. The beginning of this season with said beach arc is truly some of the best Fruits Basket has ever been. Kyo finally discovering his true feelings, Akito revealed to be God itself, Tohru committing to breaking the curse! There's numerous moments of great writing coupled with perfect delivery from the cast. Following with the latter half of the season showing how far Yuki has grown all throughout season two. He has absolutely become one of the story's strongest characters. His growth is by itself amazing writing, added with everything else it's perfection.
The student council being introduced with Kakeru, Machi, Nao and Kimi add even more to his growth. Yuki finally breaking out of his shell to create bonds with others outside his family. Him and Kakeru are the best bros you could ask for. Yuki has really come to trust Kakeru like we saw as Yuki revealed to him about how he sees Tohru. Which is another his revelation this season. Kureno getting introduced as the final zodiac piece leading to his meeting Uotani. We see it in the finale of this season how he really feels about her. About wanting to go see her but our of pity he stays with Akito and embraces her. Yes 'her'. Confirmation that Akito is female but kinda sorta hiding it as God.
Other bits like the Hatori and Mayu episode, the Cinderella play, Machi development, so much going on with Rin, who is a fantastic character in her own right learning her story and her relationship with Haru, there's tons going on with this second season yet it never feels rushed or forced or anything negative. You can tell this is a carefully crafted story that's being given the date it deserves. TMS has my eternal respect and gratitude for this show. Takaya is an amazing author and they're letting her magnum opus shine. Cannot wait till the Final Season next year! It's gonna have even more big reveals and shocking moments to see animated!!
Still the fall season left but I'm gonna be bold here and say this is my anime of The year. Fruits Basket Season 2 gets a 100/100 from me.
