Hybrid Child are dolls created and grow by the love of the owner. The dolls learn to feel and act according to their own will. The story behind the creation of Hybrid Child is related to the doll maker past. Ze is similar in that sense whereby in Ze, there are Kami-sama (human like dolls created from paper) created by the puppet master who will protect the owner at any cause. Kami-sama has emotions and will of their own. The creation of Kami-sama also plays a part in the past of the puppet master. Hybrid Child is darker than Ze but even so, Ze has its own tragedy. Hybrid Child is a one volume manga telling the lives of dolls and their owner in short whereas Ze has more volumes which goes into more depths and development of the dolls and their owner relationships and stories of the pasts.
