"It's a hard task to grow the flower we call "love", to make it fully bloom one day. But I want to nurture it as best I can, for the sake of my beloved Karin."
Itoshi no Karin is basically summed up in the quote above. Love isn't an instant connection nor is it a fairy tale where a prince and a princess live happily ever after. Love contains what life has to offer and that is called choices. Itoshi no Karin is a typical lovey-dovey super cute love story about a 20yr gardener and a 17yr high school girl who both work at the same
...
place. Of course it starts off with the premise of the guy being infatuated by the girl and suddenly getting closer to her but as cliche as it sounds, there was something in this manga I really appreciated. It considered life. Usually these kind of love stories just end in a story about two people getting married, the couple escaping town together, or an ending that neither character takes account for what their actions will result in the future, but no, Itoshi relates to none of the things I mentioned. The main MC is a shy, warm hearted guy who actually has balls. He's not the typical MC where he holds his thoughts in but instead thinks about his actions and his words carefully. I really appreciated this about his character as the character wasn't all about "PANTIES! LOVE. LOVE. TITS", his thought process was more like, "What's the best decision for me and her and our future?" I really liked the fact that he wasn't driven by hormones but instead by logic and clear decision making.
The main heroine, Karin was absolutely great. Her character wasn't complex just another wifey material heroine. She was a solid character in that she wasn't annoying and properly presented her feelings and was not immature about any situation but that was about it. She had no outcasting personality that made me go WHOA but I really appreciated the mature side of her. She kind of reminds me of Takagi from Karakai just because of how much she cares and teases the MC.
Characters aside, the art was AMAZING. I was absolutely amazed by how good the characters looked. Everything aside, I would just read this story just for the art. It's that good.
Overall, this story is very cute and heartwarming. As people have said the ending isn't too conclusive but I felt it was perfect for this manga. The symbolic meaning of the ring at the end and how both of the protagonists chose to chase after their ambitions instead of their love for each other was admirable. I really wish more manga characters were like the protagonists in Itoshi and that's what made me enjoy this manga so much. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a great short read/romance/comedy/slice of life kind of manga. Just because of pure enjoyment and the art, I give it a 9.

Ore no Kanojo does literally nothing special in the harem genre standpoint except for one thing. You have the dull "WHOA I NEVER KNEW YOU LIKED ME" MC, the tsundere, the quiet reserved girl, the childhood friend, BUT YOU HAVE SOMEWHAT OF A CONCLUSIVE ENDING HURAAY.(I won't spoil it don't worry)
Story 3/10:
I mean the story is nothing special. It's about a guy who is secretly a superhero dork who writes his little fantasties within his notebook BUT guess what? One of the main heroine discovers his notebooks and blackmails him to become her boyfriend. He agrees but the childhood friend comes in and feels threatened
...
by the new girl and this whole series is just a crap fest of which girl can steal the heart of the MC. LITERALLY nothing new. The story bored me and most romance anime do, trust me. But like I always say, a romance anime can literally have the crappiest story but if it has really personal and well thought out chracters then the author did a good job. The author does nothing right.
Art 6/10:
I always have been a fan of the A1 Studios art, it's very modern and clean and this anime is no exception. The colors are bright and cheerful and it fits the theme and setting of this anime pretty well. The art isn't something that I'll say "WOW" but it is appealing to the eyes.
Characters 4/10:
I literally only liked one character in this anime LOL. Every other character has such apparent character flaws that it honestly made me bored/annoyed everytime the characters popped up. I mean for starters the MC is really smart academically but bro you seriously can't tell that your childhood friend likes you? And there are two other girls literally saying that they want to marry you but you don't take them seriously and just try to avoid them. AH just like in every harem genre, the MC is a dimwit and it's just really frustrating.
Overall 4/10:
The anime was somewhat enjoyable because of Ai(that one character I liked). Everything regarding this anime was subpar but if you like a comedic and bright anime then I recommend this anime to you. Just to warn you though, even though there is a somewhat of a conclusive ending and is supposed to make the audience think "What's going to happen next" I literally did not do that and immediately closed my browser once I finished the anime. Nothing against the anime, just another lame light novel. Just a rant(if a studio can adapt this garbage then why not Utsoro? SIGH)

Alright this is for all my MAL viewers who see the reviews of this show and think "Wow, this anime is rated pretty high. I'll check it out." Please don't. Just save yourself from a joke of an anime. This is the single trashiest anime I have ever watched and with good reason. What does this anime do well? The story? Absolute crap. The art? The 3D animation is funky and the art is whatever. The characters? Hell no. The only thing I somewhat enjoyed from this anime was the OP and eventual OSTs that popped up here and there throughout the series. I HATED
...
THIS SERIES and you will too.
Ok let me be clear. The direction that the show wanted to follow regarding a girl and her trying to find her tears back was actually not bad. It makes up for somewhat a solid foundation for a romance story but wow. What a dumpster fire. Literally a dumpster fire. The execution and direction of this show was absolute crap. Literally the main girl rarely shows up and when she does, she's either
1) Getting dumped by the MC
2) Getting roasted by Hiromi
3)Talking to her chickens
I think the storyboarder literally forgot who the main girl was and added a bunch of unnecessary crap.
The characters are absolutely dreadful. They don't contain any special qualities nor are they executed well. The Main MC? He's a dumb dense wishy washy character who literally just likes Hiromi because she has big tits or something. I don't know what is going on with this guy's head. He has girls all over him and he doesn't even acknowledge their feelings and just ignores them. He think he's all righteous and cool even though he plays with the girl's hearts. Such a dumb MC.
Hiromi? Oh man, don't get me started with her. She's actually the dumbest, most controlling character I have ever seen. Like bruh, the main MC ain't your play toy and what gives you the right to tell Noe to back off? You pushed off the MC in the first place.
Noe is okay. She's strange a bit autistic at times but I feel like if someone had gone through what she gone through, they would be a little not quite right in the head. Man overall, I just can't get over the fact how trashy this anime is. Absolutely horrible execution and just poor characters. I have no clue why these MAL users are rating this trash so highly. It's such garbage and I hope this review gets on the front page so that people don't watch this horrendous clown fest. I had more fun studying than watch this crap. Trash trash trash 2/10(2 is because I feel a little nice today)

Criminale! is a very light-hearted, fun to read, stress relieving anime. I absolutely adorbed this manga because of mainly one thing: the characters. The characters are awesome as they all possess unique characteristics that make them shine. Basically TLDR: read this manga. I loved it and you probably will too. Now lets go to the review:
Story 8/10:
The story in my opinion was nothing special. I've heard many of my peers think that the story was unique but I thought it was solid. Basically the main MC is a criminal magnet and because of this has never made friends before. Due to his strange powers,
...
he enters a special highschool to help him make friends but unbeknownst to him, his classmates are all criminals. This wacky concept makes up cute moments and a lot of WTF moments. Overall the story potrays a slice of life kind of feeling to it but trust me there actually is story involved. UNFORTUNATELY I just found out that the manga artist is sick so the writer had to stop. IF you ever get the chance to read Criminale! and feel somewhat unsatisfied with the ending and think "Man there were a lot of plot holes that they didn't cover" don't be mad. The manga writer had plans but due to unfortunate events he had to stop writing. Best of luck, get better Criminale! artist!
Art 9/10:
The art was amazing! There were some battle scenes but they were actually pretty legit. The detail of the characters isn't something to behold like Beserk but this was pretty solid.
Character 9/10:
The character AHHH! My favorite part of this manga! I loved the characters! I think that there were maybe 3 characters I really loved and thankfully they were the main focal point of the story. The main MC isn't anything particularly unique but the heroines are awesome! There were so many diabetic moments and I just loved what each character had to bring.
Overall this manga was very enjoyable! I really wish it could've ended the way the mangaka wanted to but I'm happy with the way it ended as well. I definitely recommend Criminale! to anyone who wants a light hearted fun manga to read!

Before I get into the review I would like to say one thing. THIS MANGA IS A HIDDEN GEM. I absolutely loved this manga. It was so cute and heartwarming that it really made my day every time I read it.
Story 7/10:
The story is quite simple. There a girl who is a ninja but is not allowed to tell anyone that she is a ninja except one person, a person that she likes. In the beginning of the story we get introduced to the main MC who is the love interest of that ninja girl and we basically follow their relational development throughout the
...
story. The story is nothing out of the ordinary but it definitely makes way for a cute romantic relationship that the readers see progress throughout every chapter. Like I always say with romance-focused stories, the main selling point is the characters and Ninja Shinobu does a great job selling that point.
Art 8/10:
The art fits really well with the theme and setting of this manga. It's light-hearted, kind of childish, and the reactions of the characters is absolutely hilarious. You can totally tell if someone is annoyed, heartbroken, or just happy and that's what I came to appreciate about the art for this anime. A lot of the emotions are exaggerated and just seeing a character blush or feel heart broken stirred up so many emotions inside of me. I feel that if the art makes you feel a certain way then it's done a good job so I have to say good job to the artist for Ninja Shinobu.
Characters 10/10:
I feel like the main attraction of this manga is definitely the characters. The main couple and the side characters were all so lovely and the side characters weren't even considered side characters because they received a lot of chapters and had their own little arcs. Even though the characters weren't too realistic, I still enjoyed it as no character was annoying or disruptive in other people's relationships. Every character felt like a main character and that's one thing I came to appreciate from this manga.
Overall 9/10:
If you want a fun, innocent, diabetes giving type of manga, this manga is for you. I absolutely loved this manga . It's sad to know that many people haven't read or even heard of this manga, but if you ever have the time, you should definitely check out Ninja Shinobu-san no Junjou!

Sakurada Reset is something that had A LOT of potential but unfortunately did not meet up to it's potential because of bad storyboarding and low budget. What I mean by that is the art wasn't consistent throughout the story, the dialogue was absolute crap, and there was just a lot of unnecessary silence between characters. BUT I will say this, I enjoyed it. This is one of those shows where the story is really unique that it allows you put aside those flaws and actually allow you to enjoy the show.
Story 9/10:
So the story is about a town called Sakurada(or Sagrada) that is filled
...
with individuals with special powers. EVERYONE in Sakurada has a power, whether it be something ridiculously OP or something practical, everyone has a power. And I'll be honest, the beginning of this show is VERY slow. The dialogue is really dry and the characters don't have much of a personality but the setting and story make you wonder "What does the author plan to do with this town and its people?" You begin to wonder, why is this town so peaceful despite people having powers, why do people like having these powers, and other questions. I can't really say much about the story without spoiling but I'll say this, the story is unique and if you decide to watch 5 episodes and stop, just don't. Just finish it at that point. The story gets interesting at the end and makes watching this anime all worth it.
Art 6/10:
Art is really inconsistent and nothing really special. The character design is pretty good for the most part considering that I could tell each character apart. But there's honestly nothing much to say about the art.
Sounds 6/10:
Like I said the dialogue in this show is absolute crap. There's so much unneeded silence and dialogue that it is this show's real downfall. The OP and ED is really good in my opinion and none of the character's voices give me the "What...this character shouldn't sound like that" so overall it's pretty solid.
Overall 8/10:
I give it a 8/10 because the story TOTALLY carried this anime. I really enjoyed it. The main characters were interesting to see develop. I feel like this anime received a lot of hate based on the first few episodes but give this anime a try. It's worth a try and you wont regret it.

Nisekoi was an anime that I made fun of with my friends for the longest time. I personally think harems are just hilarious because of the fact that the MC is absolutely clueless and the girls all fight over one guy BUT I personally do in fact enjoy harems. Maybe I'm a bit biased because I enjoy harems but Nisekoi was very enjoyable for me. I have not read the manga yet so purely just basing my review on the anime I give it a 9/10. At first I was very surprised that the studio that made this was Shaft. I thought that Nisekoi would
...
have some weird visuals and wasn't really sure if Shaft could pull it off but wow, I'll never doubt Shaft again. Their art and animation is all top notch and it really made me enjoy Nisekoi.
Story 7/10:
Story is unique but nothing really compelling. The main MC apparently makes a promise to a girl 10 years ago that if they were to meet again they would marry but he doesn't know who he gave it to and that's basically the premise of the story. Every girl has some sort of connection to the past and the audience is trying to determine who the girl is. Overall, this story is honestly perfect for a harem, it helps introduce different characters without making it seem TOO forceful. Of course there are instances where a girl just appears out of nowhere but it's far better than other harems that I've seen.
Art 10/10:
I'll say it again, Shaft makes pretty good art. Actually scratch that, they are insane with their art. All the characters look brilliant, they're very detailed and you can totally tell all of them apart. The backgrounds are amazing. I know Shaft is known for some weird backgrounds but everything fits so perfectly.
Sound 10/10:
To be honest, I dont really know much to write about sound in a review besides the fact that I really like the OP and there are A LOT of EDS. I really enjoyed all of them and also the voice actors fit perfectly with the characters so yeah 10/10.
Character 10/10:
Like any romantic anime, the characters are the most important part of the story. I'm not particularly fond with the main MC as he's the typical harem MC who is clueless about everything and does not say what he wants to say but he isn't the worst. The girls are awesome tho. Chitoge is the typical harem but she's really adorable! She's my favorite girl because she actually feels real. She gets jealous, she gets mad, she gets irritated and she just shows normal human reactions.
Onodera is also one of my favorite heroines in this anime. She's absolutely a precious angel that isn't about revenge and just wants best for other people. You know, I'm sick and tired of romantic rivalries between girls but Nisekoi doesn't do that. This anime allows the MC to be able to choose through experience rather than the girls fighting till the end.
Overall, I'm sad that I misjudged Nisekoi. I thought it would be garbage but no, it was actually pretty enjoyable. The characters were all pretty cool and Shaft did a great job with it. Honestly if it were not for Shaft I would've probably gave this an 8.

WOW!
I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review for Kimi No Nawa. This movie was WOW! I watched it about 4 months ago and it still affects me today.
As a person who was somewhat familiar with anime last year, Your Name was hyped like CRAZY. I didn't know anything about what made this anime so hyped but I'm thankful that I finally got to see it this year and boy is this anime a MASTERPIECE. Everything is so well made. This is my first time tearing up during a movie and also a first time when a movie made me
...
heart wrench everytime I thought about this movie.
I loved this movie and I think this movie is my favorite of all time so I might be biased but I'm biased for a reason so lets get on with the review!
Story 8/10:
The story idea I'll admit isn't original. It's about a boy and girl who end up switching bodies BUT the plot twist is what makes this story special. Who knew they had a 3 difference and who knew that they actually made an effort to see each other. This story is so beautifully done. At the beginning, you think "Oh it's a body transfer romantic movie, I wonder how this is gonna pan out. Are they gonna try to meet each other?" but as the story progresses you begin to realize "Oh crap! They don't remember each other at all. Maybe this is where the problem is gonna happen." BUT THEN THEY HIT YOU WITH THE FACT THAT SHE ALREADY HAD DIED BECAUSE OF THE COMET. LIKE HOLY CRAP, I'm pretty sure 99% of the audience did not expect that. So afterward it becomes all dramatic where Taki has to try to save Mitsuha and it so MASTERFULLY DONE. LIKE WOW. It's so easy to mess up in romantic scene because they can either be melodramatic such as "I love you so much don't leave me" but these love scenes can be best described as short and bitter. My heart hurts everytime I think about the time that they met each other at the crater and they don't talk about "Oh I loved you for so long" but instead they talk about simple casual things like "You touched my boobs! You pervert" but eventually leading into the main reason why they met each other which was to prevent the meteor. And then the most beautiful scene happens when they decide to write their names on each other's hands but right when Mitsuha decides to, they can no longer see each other. THIS SCENE GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS EVERYTIME. Now this scene is so beautifully done because it is not melodramatic and 2) what Taki writes on Mitsuha's hand is so beautiful. Instead of writing his name he writes "I love you" which I think is so smart of Taki because he knew it would be erased so might as well write a message that will last forever. Sorry about my spiel about that one scene but yeah the story is executed phenomenally. So yeah Your Name is THE BEST.
Art 10/10:
Wow Makoto Shinkai is amazing. The art in this movie is amazing. Honestly if the art wasn't that great I don't think I would've liked this movie as much. The art makes Kimi no Nawa special. Just the story + the art is what makes this movie so emotional and beautifully done. Everything is so detailed, everything is so perfect. It almost makes you feel like you're in the movie. The character design is awesome as well. I LOVEEE Mitsuha's character design. She is so pretty while having that determined look. By far Mitsuha is imo the prettiest anime girl I have seen.
Sound 10/10:
SOUND IS AWESOME. The music within this movie is great. I love RADWIMPS and every one of their songs fits the atmosphere that Kimi No Nawa brings. It helps bring out that emotional/alluring vibe that Your Name gives to the audience. And the voice acting is brilliant as well. Mitsuha sounds like Mitsuha, and Taki sounds like Taki. Especially when they switch bodies you can EASILY tell if Mitsuha is Taki and vice versa because the subtle changes in their voices make it really clear who's in whose body.
Character 10/10:
I just loved the two MCs. They have such great chemistry and they both are really cool characters. They just feel real, with real human desires.
Overall Kimi no Nawa is a masterpiece. I can see why this movie is so hyped. Everything from the cinematography, music, art is just so wonderfully integrated. I love Your Name and I promise you will too.

Man I hate to say it but Kimi No Iru Machi is by far the most dragged out/most boring manga I have ever read. Now hear me out, I'm a fan of anything involving romance but this manga is just dumb. I know this author likes to be realistic with his romance but this is anything from realistic. Before I say anything further lets begin the review.
Story: 5/10
Now the story like any other romance anime/manga is nothing special. It's about a girl who ends up in the main MC's house but turns out that the girl has had a crush on the MC and tries
...
to make him fall in love with her. She succeeds but a bunch of fiascos happens and that's when the story turns to crap.
Now the beginning of the manga is actually pretty good. I liked the characters, I liked the premise, and I liked the relationship the characters had for each other. Now the part when the main heroine moves out of the main MC's house is when it also is solid. The main MC stupidly follows the heroine back to Tokyo in order to find out what happened and turns out she has been dating someone else. LOL okay? This arc was okay because I had the mindset that the heroine had some other motive but nope. She starts dating a guy because that's his wish before he dies from his illness. Like bruh, you basically cheated on your BF(who you desperately tried to make fall in love with you) and you basically ignored your BF without telling him anything. Like bish please. What's worse is that the main MC just ignores all the things that the heroine has done to him and they basically get back together, start being all lovey dovey, YAY! Yeah this crap ain't realistic at all, if someone did that to me I'd be so mad, and the fact that the main MC dumps his gf just cause he meets the main heroine again after a few years is the dumbest crap I have ever read.
Overall the story is: boys meets girl, they fall in love, girl cheats on guy, guy accepts that, guy dates someone else, girl guy meet again and fall in love, girl guy fight here and there, girl guy make up, bam MARRIAGE.
Art: 8/10:
Art is pretty good. Pretty consistent. This guy is pretty good at drawing ecchi stuff. I'm not really into that but yeah the author is good at drawing.
Character 3/10:
Holy crap if it weren't for the side characters, I would give this manga a 1.
The main MC literally is the dumbest guy ever. He falls in love with the girl that cheated on him and is just so dumb. He's cool at the beginning but he turns into some wimp later on. Can't say much besides the fact that he has no guts and likes to get pushed around so yeah.
Main heroine: Now I loved her. IN THE BEGINNING. She wasn't as mischevious and she was actually pretty cute. But nah, she turns into a major punk later in the series. Absolutely hated her, only cared about herself. Selfish, stupid, and two timing. What else can I say about her.
Now the side characters absolutely get dropped in this series. So we get introduced to a couple of interesting characters but they literally got forgotten throughout the manga. Like what? They were important but now they are barely mentioned. So dumb. Only character I like from this manga is probably Akari.
Overall, this manga is a disaster. So many pointless melodramatic scenes and it is SOOOO dragged out. It was torture finishing this manga but I'm glad I read it all because I now know what the metric of a crap manga is and this is definitely one of them. Don't know why this manga is rated a 8 and I don't know why this was popular at one point but take my word for it and don't read this unless you like pointless melodramatic romance. OH and I forgot to mention, Rin was pretty cool I guess.

Hensoku-kei Quadrangle.
Okay I'll admit. I stumbled upon this manga while looking at manga similar to "Erased". The synopsis of the story was interesting as I thought it would be about the main MC trying to help the main heroine not relive her past mistakes and while doing so would come across "bad guys" who also traveled back in the time and somehow problems would arise, BUT the story is totally what I did not expect. First and foremost, the main issue with this manga is the development. Everything is kind of blatantly mentioned and nothing is really kept a secret for long. Within the chapter,
...
some character may have a deep secret or hidden past but about maybe 15 pages later, the character confesses what his secret is and it ruins the development of the characters. No one is really built up except the main MC and everything seems like it was forced to end quickly on purpose.
Now I haven't read the entire thing because the project has been dropped but despite all its flaws, I still wish I could read the ending because the story is interesting. Like the other review saying that this manga turns into a "WTF is happening", I did get the same feeling but as an optimist, I really want to know what's going to happen to each of the characters. A lot of the premise regarding the time traveling is hidden so there's some positive to the plot.
Story 7/10:
As said before, the plot is rushed, there's really no development, every secret is exposed within a chapter, and everyone has some stupid motives for going back in time except the main character. Again, I haven't finished the manga so I have somewhat hope that the ending will be spectacular and everything will fit together but I doubt it.
Art 10/10:
Dude! This guy's art is brilliant holy crap. The color pages are BEAUTIFUL and just every character is well drawn. The background is gorgeous and everything that this guy has drawn from start to finish has been consistent. Best part of the manga BY FAR.
Character 8/10:
Eh the characters are your typical:
You have the main MC who somehow knows martial arts or something and beats up everyone but sees what his action ultimately consequent to so he goes back in time and tries to prevent it happening in order to save the girl he loves. Yeah, it's that stereotypical character again, only difference I would say is that the main MC doesn't really care if the main heroine loves him or not, he just wants to save her, so I guess that's somewhat different.
You have the main heroine who is super nice to everyone and has a dark past and hates herself for that. She smiles at everything and eventually starts having feelings for the main MC because he saved her and somewhat confessed his love to her. EH I still thought she was pretty adorable so I gues she wasn't too bad.
You have the other heroine who is jealous of the main heroine and wants to become like her and is overly protective when it comes to her. Not much to say about her besides the fact that I think she's best girl, when it comes to feelings and interactions I felt that she was more genuine, but still a stereotypical character.
You have the cold, tall, handsome, can't speak character who doesn't want to associate with anyone but eventually gets a soft heart and begins to change his character.
Yeah these characters aren't really unique but still I liked them because they weren't cry babies or hindered the plot so I'll give them a 8/10.
Overall, this manga is okay. I enjoyed it. It had a lot of potential in the beginning but I felt like everything was a bit rushed so there's a bit of a downer to that. But in the end, I'm sad that this manga has not been fully translated, I hope in the future that this project gets finished and that we all may read this manga together.
I would recommend this manga if you like cute romantic moments with a cool main MC. Interesting plot that falls short(SO FAR) but in the end I give this manga a 8/10 .
