I have been watching anime since the summer of 1995 when a friend introduced me to Ronin Warriors. Not really knowing what anime was, I stumbled into Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon as well, until one day, a friend in-the-know ushered me into the world of anime. That first title was Iria: Zeiram the Animation. From there I routinely borrowed VHS tapes from him and others as well as hitting up the local Video Update to delve deeper and deeper into my new obsession.
In 1999, I joined the Purdue Anime Club and have been attending since. I have served as the club's president for 3 years, though I've essentially run the club for 5 years now.
My tastes are rather varied, though I do tend to enjoy seinen and mecha fare more on average.
I routinely attend Ohayocon, Colossalcon, and Gencon, and I plan to start attending Anime Crossroads. I just started running panels and events at cons (1 at Ohayocon; 4 at Colossalcon) and plan on doing more in the future.
