By far one of the best anime series I've seen. The plot line is amazing, but the character development is what will blow your mind. Flawless and Beautiful. Claymores, or Silver-eyed Witches, are women that have Yoma, demon blood, implanted into them. They work under the Corporation, which created them, and uses them to hunt Yoma as a business.
Female power all the way til the end. Sisterhood, unity, persistence, gore, powerful enemies, amazing allies, all the glory of an amazing medieval storyline. The animation is very unique. It is a very entertaining series, but do not expect a concrete ending. You will have to follow the story by reading the manga since alot of the character development is left in the air. Its a shame since the character design in the series is very appealing. It seems like they wanted to cover too much in the animation and forgot to work more with some of the most important characters, like Maya and Soul, for example. However, they still find the time to stick in those annoying Excalibur filler episodes.Arg!

Its a Japanese legend (fairytale) turned into a modern time fantasy.
You will follow Aya through a series of traumatic events caused by Ceres awakening inside of her. Ceres is a celestial being that was raped by a man and has reincarnated as her DNA had passed down to the women in the family. She finally awakes through Aya to retrieve her haragomo and take revenge on the Mikage family. Exellent storyline. Very good plot and character deveopment. Teen angst and romance, blood and violence, beautiful animation. What more could you ask for? This is one of the best shojo anime that Ive seen.

Overall a truely good series. The art with leave you breathless and the storyline will keep you on your toes. This is a futuristic and alternate version of The Count of Montechristo. It is beautifully animated and written. The characters will win you over and inmerse you into the story.
Past and Future converge in the setting. The story takes place between the Moon, which reminds us of postcolonial New Orleans, and a Futuristic yet Victorian France. Humanity has transcended into life in space. The life of Intergalactic nobility: politics, murder, conspiracy, and illicit affairs.

If you like vampires and horror dramas, then you'll like this series.
Don't expect this to be one of the more profound anime series. The storyline is very appealing but gradually weakens and some of the characters remain without development. In my opinion, the plot turned out a bit lacking in the end, but it is not a bad series and it will certainly keep you watching until the end with its many plot twists. |
