OH HA LUCKY!! Yea, I had to. Oh well. Too bad that was one of the few things that I enjoyed about this one =P
Story: 3
Ok, of course there isnt a story in this anime... it's Lucky Star for fark sakes. Well.. the story has a definite edge over Haruhi imo, follow Konata as she goes to school. Watch Konata eat a chocolate thing. HEY LOOK, Konata is playing games, lets watch. It's well put together for the most part, the story doesn't always completely go off on different tangents, but it really isn't all that interesting at the same time.
Art: 10
As expected from the
...
same studio that brought us Haruhi, great visuals and very nice moods set by the animations. Not much else to say other than I enjoyed the art very thoroughly.
Sound: 8
I enjoyed the soundtrack. It was a nice, cutesy pop-ish type of vibe, which I normally don't go for, but it sorta stuck here. The opening theme got annoying after awhile though.
Character: 4
For the most part, the character development was severely lacking, although one character that really shows some promise would be Kagami, very interesting personality shifts along the series, overall the most interesting character. The most entertaining character being Minoru Shiraishi (don't quote me on that spelling). But the rest were very linear, nothing really changed, it was the same thing in a different episode. Only slight differences.
Enjoyment: 6
Well, there are a few instances in this anime where you just enjoy sitting through. Mostly the EXTREMELY abundant anime references. Haruhi references were VERY annoying, however. It's a slice of life type anime, there's no way you can't enjoy it a LITTLE bit.
Overall: 6
Generally, Lucky Star is an OK experience, one thing I wouldn't be able to do is go back and watch it all at once. Much too uneventful. This series really shouldn't have been 24 episodes.
Sorry Otakus. No 10 from me =P

Ok. Tokineiro, also known as A Time To Screw. This review may have spoilers, but what the hell do you care? It's a hentai =P
Quite an interesting premise that this show is based on, you'd think that it would reflect into the overall presentation, but you'd be sadly mistaken.
Story: 2
The first episode of this show really sets a nice tolerable tone for a complex storyline, there's a lot of the "what just happened?" situations. Now, normally, if a series is going to go for the complicated storyline, they'd at least explain in better detail why things were happening, unfortunately, 95% of the time, random events
...
occurred to which there was ZERO explanation.
Art: 2
Ok, so you're thinking "so what if the story is bad? it's a hentai, get over it." You'd be right, in most cases. Sadly, not in the one. For the most part, the art inconsistencies aren't really noticable in the first episode, but the second episode is plagued with bad coloring, horrible lines and just really awkward art.
Sound: 5
The sounds. HAH! I usually don't have beef with sounds, but the VAs really overdid their parts. Too much unneccessary screaming/yelping etc. The really only thing that saves this from a lower score is a half way decent orchestra BGMs.
Character: 1
lol wut? This has to be the most confusing character development I've ever laid eyes on. One girl is crippled, but really isnt. One girl has a split personality, to which there's no explanation, not even a subtle hint at it. And I understood why there were 2 Setsuya clones, but what was the point of the third one? He was just staying in his room...
Enjoyment: 2
Well... in all honesty, a lot of the stuff that happened DID make me LOL, but that's part of the problem, this show is supposed to give off a brooding, mysterious feel, and you just can't help by laugh at some of the events that happen.
Overall: 2.4
Horrible attempt at a hentai OVA series. There are better ones out there. Don't waste your time with this one.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, HOLY CRAP!! What a sleeper hit O_O Why didnt someone tell me about this anime sooner?
Story: 10
The story in TTGL is one of the most interesting stories I have ever witnessed, there wasn't one time where I wished the episode would just end (except episode 16 : ). Very nice plot, very easy to follow while still holding a great message in it. TTGL keeps great action while also keeping true to the great message behind the plot.
Art/Animation: 9
B-E-A- YOUtiful animations in this anime. The fight scenes left me speechless at times and it really made you want to click 'Next'
...
on the media player for the next episode. The art style is really reminscent of some of the earlier action animes that I have watched. Great FX used in the fights as well.
Sound: 8
The sounds in TTGL were simply breathtaking, explosions left you wanting more and more. The music score was also memorable, music was used nicely in the scenes. The addition of the english track was a little iffy though, in my opinion.
Character: 10
If you've ever watched an anime and you simply loved every character, then you should watch this, because it is literally much better. The character development is very nicely done, from episode 1-27 you will get limitless amounts of satisfaction out of just watching the character's personalities come out and develop.
Enjoyment: 10
If you're like me, when you watch an anime that is truly epic. You are feeling crappy by the end, not because it was a bad anime, but because you're sad that it's all over and you'll never be able to see those characters again. Simply put, the enjoyment I got out of this is too much for words. If I could somehow embed screams of joy into this review, I would.
Overall: 10
Okay, so overall the score works out to a 9.4. But really, the Story, character and enjoyment sections were WELL over a 10, so it's only fitting that this anime recieves that score. If you like fighting, boobs, comedy, drama and a great story. It may sound cliche, but this anime LITERALLY has them all. A must-see anime, MUST FUCKING SEEE!!!!!!

Ah... the Melancholoy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Love by much, hated by much. Where does it sit with me? Read on, readers, read on...
Story: 3
Ok, if you are looking for a deep story driven based anime... do NOT watch this anime. The story is VERY scattered, a lot of the stuff that happens is very confusing and some of it even happens for no reason whatsoever.
Art/Animation: 9
The art style in this anime is actually quite nice, very nice animations, fluid dance animations in the opening and closing themes. A very redeeming quality. The special fx in some of the scenes are also quite nice to
...
look at and not TOO over the top.
Sound: 8
The music in this anime is very nice. While I don't really approve of the dances that came with it, Hare Hare Yukai is a guily pleasure at times. A lot of the songs in between, performed by Hirano Aya, really added an extra dimension.
Character: 3
Ok... no. The character development in this series is EXTREMELY poor. Haruhi is a bitch, Yuki is a windbag at times and doesn't seem to show much personality.. is there a reason that so many people choose Yuki as their favorite character? Mikuru is extremely whiny, I've come EXTREMELY close to turning this anime off because of this character. Kyon is, to me, the only character worth watching the anime for. He is very blunt about a lot of issues that I am, and he is just the easiest to bond with as an anime character.
Enjoyment: 6
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya provided me with laughs, WTFs and screw offs. The humor was one of the very few high points in this anime.
Overall: 5
Overall. TMoHS definitely did NOT live up to the hype preceding it. There needs to be a lot of work done by the time season 2 rolls around.

Panchira Teacher is one of those hentais that will actually have you engulfed in, not only the sex scenes, but the storyline as well!!!
Story:
The story in Panchira Teacher is very easy to follow, but it doesnt cross into the dimension of overly cheesy. I think that the studio and crew that wrote the script actually used their brains to come up with a hentai that will be watched not just for being a hentai.
Art:
The art style, while not amazing, is really something to look at. I've never been too fond of the "full bush" type nudity but it's really well done here, not cheesy
...
in the fact that they curtains match the drapes. The animation really roller coasters through this one though, you'll have very fluid, Bible Black/Dark Love esque animations, and it'll change to "looks like a 2 frame animated GIF" type vibe and it really takes away what could've been a 9.
Sound:
The sound was also a double edged sword. Mayuko Natsuya (who plays the main character, Machiko Natsukawa) has a nice tone to her voice, but the panting really got out of hand in some scenes. The music score was passable, nothing that you're going to rush to Limewire for (you'd probably only find a pantload of viruses anyways).
Character:
The characters in this show were REALLY something that all hentais should use as a reference when creating characters. I really think the development in some of them could've used a bit more touching up (Hiroshi was too much of a nice guy at the beginning and it went straight to pervert avenue)
Enjoyment:
While I did enjoy this anime, there were some very vital flaws that didnt give me what I would've expected from looking at all the other great aspects. Some of the scenes were choppy, there were a few plot holes that were MUCH too easy to pick up on.The animations were very inconsistent with the subject material. And overall, it just didn't give me what I wanted.
Overall:
Overall, I have to give Panchira Teacher props for not going the line of the super cheesy storyline and for giving at least a halfassed excuse as to why everything happened. A decent hentai worth checking out.

Hatsuinu is the classic example of the hentai that gives too little, too late. Really, when watching this and looking at the cover image of the title. I thought "Damn, I can't wait to see the long haired chick get banged a few times over". Sadly, the main female interest is Fujiko. LAAMEE!!! Not only does Fujiko NOT talk, but her personality is fucking BORING!!
Now you're thinking "But DownShift, you can still have a personality without talking". Well sure you can dipshit, but that doesn't mean that its going to make me want to watch you in a hentai.
For the most part, the
...
animations are well done, very smooth sex scenes, very nice comedic moments. But really, I spent most of time skipping through the boring parts with Fujiko and skipped RIGHT to the sex scene involving the brunette (I forget her name off hand)
If you're looking for a quick hentai fix, or if you just feel like hentai is putting you to sleep enough, then check out Episode 1 of this bad boy. Otherwise, just go straight to episode 2.
