just thought of updating my Texhnolyze canadian fan-cast I envisioned to alternatively happened if it were real, even tho I love the english dub of it with all my heart, I wanted to think of how it's voice cast would be like and fix some of the castings I didn't feel were ideal or even well chosen when I first thought of it myself (*coughcough David Kaye as Ichise and Richard Newman as Kazuho Yoshii coughcough*, I do still think castings like Jocelyne Loewen as Ran, Richard Ian Cox as Hal and *maybe* Mark Hildreth as Shinji (I'll talk about my regards into considering him for the role after I'd show the choices I've went with recently afterwards) could be adequet if whatever direction they are given can fine-turn the product itself, and hell I still am fond about my idea of Garry Chalk as Keigo because I just can't imagine anyone in canada filling in his niche for the character and for that reason, he's left intact. weirdly enough, I also had Saffron as Ran when making it firstly before I thought of who would be the ideal choice to play her in the end. elite actress as she is, she'd be an HAAAAARD miscast for this character with that she doesn't have that youthful enough a voice and smooth innocence to it and would serve as much better casting for either Michiko or even Eriko too). I'd also offer voice samples for some of the casting choices to give you a bit of a safe information how their takes would have resulted as so here goes, hope you're not bothered if you're busy or irritated these days:
Ichise - Ian James Corlett
Ran - Shannon Chan Kent
Keigo Onishi - Garry Chalk
Eriko Kaneda/Kamata - Lisa Ann Beley
Shinji - Ted Cole
Hal - Tony Sampson
Yoko - Kelly Sheridan
Yasuaki Iwata - David Kaye (Optimus Prime)
Mari -Catherine Disher
Tatsuya Sakimura - Brian Drummond (Zechs Marquise/Miliardo Peacecraft or Wolverine)
Motoharu/Genji Kimata - David Sobolov (it's understandable that he moved to America since the 21st century and I don't fault him for doing that, but man I wished he could have at least alternate between both that and Vancouver back and forth. the talent pool there just isn't the same with folks like him leaving it way too soon)
Kyosuke Ishii - Dave Kelly
Akihisa Sonada - Brian Drummond (Homer Katagiri) ((https://kissanime.com.ru/Anime/mobile-suit-gundam-00-second-season-dub.18197/Episode-004?id=57541 (skip to 23:02))
Ken Inui - Noah Umholtz (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNUJt1ql5ec) (fast forward to 2:16 - 3:27)
Keitaro Mizuno - Jim Byrnes
Hirohisa Gotoh - Long John Baldry
Shinichiro Tsujinaka - French Tickner
Ryuuichi Izaki - Paul Soles
Kazuho Yoshii - Hironobu Kanagawa
Bunken Kohakura - David Kaye (Charles Xavier or Pyron)
Zushi - Matthew Hill I guess? no idea otherwise.
Kano - Trevor Deval (more elegantic and bishonen-esque than what he's regularly known for like this: https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/Inhumans/Namor-the-Sub-Mariner/)
remember when I thought Kaye would fit Ichise the best? now that I've looked back on it, great of an actor as he consistently is, there are many characters that would play to his abilities as an actor far better and I regret suggesting him as the main man himself. Mark Hildreth is yet another person I recently thought of for the role but instead choosed him as Shinji when I first made this cast, I feel like I should switched him and Kaye around. Maybe I was taken at the time by how Alike Hildreth and Jason Miller sound to each other and I guess that's why I went with the former for Shinji for that reason, it would be interesting to see what he'd bring for the character, but having thinking about it myself? Ted Cole's arguably Richer voice (and I repeat to point the word "arguably" because I don't know if his voice is surely Leagues deeper in comparison) would wring more of the hard, suave tough man the character is defined as, and with Hildrteth's ability to play compossed and also savage characters, I find Ichise would be more his kind of role to be more of an ideal pick. for whatever reason tho, Ian Corlett ended up being the best choice I'd go with the role out of anyone I could think of. OK yes you can counter that given the notion that he is not fond of working on dubs in general due to how terrible the pay for them is handled but I do think he seems like he could nail the role as Ichise is not that archetype he has ever played (I believe so?) similarly throughtout his career and yet it's still within his natural range to still have it play to his strength as a talent, admittedly I struggled to decide between him and Hildreth on my decision, but I went with him in the end given how unpopular and arguably negativly pained the anime's reception is. I do still stand Hildreth would have served as a great alternative and slayed it as the MC himself just as much.
and just something slightly unrelated I've wented to speak with you about but generously speaking: my fancasts back then were (and I still stand that I'm speaking generously about that) rather garbage and I REALLY went out of ideas to no end like an uneducated prick, I was really suffering some of that Domayv syndrome (who's fancasts I find to be equal parts of too limited and unenthusiastedly boring, even if they are not at all offensive anyway) when I made them especially the Vancouver ones. I should have known better than that. the only real reason why I, again, went back to update this imaginative what-if cast-list is to get rid of all the choices that I felt wouldn't have worked or would have been a waste for the use of actors who aren't usually active and with how minimal their recognition generally is. (especially for something that's unrivaled in sheer obscurity out of all the animes and mangas that exists) setting that off completely from it's face to not feel like a moron, your overall opinion about the castings I've went with?
Hey there old friend. I've decided to relax on all the worries I have for your answers and gaved you a rest for quiet some time. No idea if you'd like to give me your own questions if you'd like because for whatever they'd be then whatever. But before that, how have you been doing since then?
Sad to tell you this, but I'm more on the side on believing he's no longer living. Continuing on talking about the man and his career, I'm saddened he's wiped away from the world. His father-like timbre would have had the advantage of befitting so many characters like a total glove and knowing he didn't get a new role (let alone a reprisal) after a decade that he didn't appear in any Vancouver-involved projects, I'm pretty baffled that it's pretty much the case. Bless the man's precious soul, he's one hell of a dayum good talent whose rife with potential of becoming more known had he got more well known roles and the opportunity has been sadly missed that he didn't got that. I did get around to experience Project arms myself and I did find it be much more worthwhile than other stuff of it's demography. it's far less obnoxious with it's overdramatic nature of horrible discomfort from what've witnessed of many of them, so yeah not a loss to me anyway. the project arms dub had some real iffy performances in it (Venus Terzo's Katsumi, I love her other work (Lucia von bardas, Jean Grey, Matako Kijima and Wedy) but she felt really forced and didn't have the conviction sadly) but it does have some good stuff about it. Ross' outing as Keith blue was one of the of the top marks about it, no matter how forgotten the characters he plays are I still remember his performances as them because of the calmingness his voice gives me.
Any how, do you have any questions of your own to tell me about? I welcome you to do so as you'd like.
Just thought to myself I should move to another discussion with you and forget about the questions since I won't bother to ask you about them again, since I've want to talk with you on something else then here we go:

I've figured out Ross Douglas has died someday, don't know what's the cause of his death but I'm kinda sure something went terrible around there. I believe that's the closest I've ever gotten to it: https://www.allpointbulletin.com/stories/obituary-ross-douglas,24701 .
so what's your response? do you believe he's no more or is it just a fake rumor spreaded?
