Are you on the floor crying because I just wrote that? Are you literally sufficating from laughter? Good news, this show is for you. If it didn't. You will spend 13 4 min. episodes trying to find the appeal. This show is just a boy dresses like a girl, then gets assaulted in the same way every ecchi shows assaults the main female protagonist. This is the type of brain dead show you watch when you want to consume an awful show. Now, I'm a big fan of watching train wrecks unfold. However, this got boring after episode one and didn't find any new jokes ... or substance to discuss. It didn't even get worse until episode 12.

It is just a short anime for the funnies, but for it to be just for the funnies. It has to be funny. By episode 3, I had enough of the time sink fallacy to finish it out. I don't think crossdressing=funny and I also don't think assaulting a character at random=funny. The moments the show tries to reach for sincerity, it fails because it immediately gets taken away due to being short. This usually happens towards the end of the episodes. This show is just a reflective piece of media upon the studio and the target consumer in Japan in 2014. A sad attempt at humor. Unless you are into men dressing like girls. Then this show becomes the holy grail of fanservice.

I will save you 22ish minutes of your life. Read the wiki page for the plot of Air. You will get more details and understanding through that then watching this. Also, to even watch this anime, you have to watch it as a 3 part youtube video because no website has this recap episode. Unless you buy the one Dvd set that has the recap.

I watched it to see if it did anything different from the anime or retold the anime in a fun way. It did not. You can't even get a full understanding of the story just from this recap because this recap ... is only for the air arc (The last 3 episodes). I don't even know why this exist. I tried to look it up and I couldn't really find anything about it.

Should you watch this? The better question is why would you watch this?

If you have ever asked yourself, "I want to experience as many anime tropes as possible within the span of one episode of anime". Thats an oddly specific want, but this anime will fill your needs.

The story:
There sure is a story. A "Crossdresser" transfers to a new school and falls in love with a boy. Why does this happen? Because its anime. They also do archery against the bad guy in the show (This is only 2 episodes of the anime). Most of the show is about a "Crossdresser" flirting with a boy. However, this is broken up with ecchi jokes. Rest of the jokes ... are just crossdressing jokes. It is the punchline for all, if not, most of the jokes. Even the ecchi jokes relate back to crossdressing 99/100 times. This anime only has 20ish minutes of runtime and oh boy. Do they try to fit every anime situation and trope within the time. These tropes range from romcom to battle shounen anime. If you blink, the story will be on the next trope.

The sound:
There sure is sound in this anime. Do I remember anything specifically? No, but music did played.

The anime/animation
It was pretty decent at times. It felt like I was watching a mid-2000's anime. The animation is mostly on par with other shows around this time period. Think slice of life sections from early Naruto

Should you watch it? Its 20 minutes. You wouldn't be lossing too much time to watch it. However, just be mentally prepared to watch mid the anime. If you are as chronically online as me, you can pretend the whole anime is Post/Meta-ironic. This brings the show up from a 5/10 to a 9/10. This is also the only reason why I watched this anime all the way through.
