Loved the anime and ever since watching it 2-3 years back ive been wanting to read the full story and finally got time to finish it. Bought the fantastic box set for it. And it did not dissapoint. Well worth the wait, money and lived up to my expectations. What ienjoyed about the anime was it dark and serious atmosphere. The story and characters were great. No fanservice or quirky stuff. Full on brutal action and character development. Good world building. All these thing apply to the manga aswell. And tbh gets even better after the cutoff point from where the anime left of. Really

Blame is a strange one for me. Initially when i started reading it i wasnt feeling it and stopped at page 100. It was a bit boring very little dialogue. Confusing. And even now when ive finished it if you would ask me what its about i couldnt really tell you. But then still having finished it i feel quite satisfied and giving it a high score of an 8/10. Wanted to like this more than i ended up doing. To me after the first episode which i really enjoyed and got my hopes up it fell pretty flat and ended just being an ok anime. Worth a watch and entertaining enough but no more. Story was very dissapointing. Felt like nothing happened. No real development for some actual plot but rather episodic slice of life. When it does touch upon some plot points it never goes much deeper though but rather drops it quickly.
Its a shame because i enjoyed the characters. Especially the dolls and the MC doll. She was ”cooler” than i ...

First half Ruroni Kenshin with with Ninja. Second half Yu Yu Hakusho with Ninja. Very simplified explanation of this very standard run of the mill 90s shounen. It was enjoyable but the aforementioned was far superior in all aspects for me coming in at 9/10 and 8/10 respectively so i feel 7/10 is as high as this one can go.
Art and animation is decent. I like older animes but i wasnt a big fan of character design. Also compared to other shows same time it isnt as good. Music is pretty much the same. Its good but doesnt reach the heights of the greats ...

As with all similar gag humor or just Japanese anime humor in general very much hit and miss for me. Theres some sketches and scene that are really fun. Some not fully hitting the mark but still enjoyable enough. Then stuff that are just so far away from being fun it feels like a waste of time. School rumbles is a bit to long also for not hitting the mark enough times aswell as getting a bit repetetive for 26 episodes focusing on the same stuff to often. I havent watched that many shows in the genre as it isnt really what i usually watch.

Overall pretty meh anime for me. Feels a bit generous to give it a 7/10. Nothing really stood out and i was half bored at times. OP was good. But it ends there. Rest was very mediocre and standard and to me feels overrated on here.
To me there isnt much mystery and especially not much psychological in here. I feel this is much more school drama/romance focused. Especially the latter. Nothing with that but i guess as i was expecting something else as that genre rarely interests me much in anime as i feel its rarely executed well and neither is it this time. ...

Wow what a wild ride this ended up being. Never thought it would hit me as hard as it ended up doing after the first couple of episodes. Just didnt feel it at first. Didnt care much for the characters. The art. Plot didnt seem all that interesting. To many annoying tropes. But then the show, characters and the plot just got more and more serious and especially brutal in its execution and reveals. Decided to watch this as it was recommended if one enjoyed Phantom Requiem. Same studio, lots of the same people behind it and same genre. And it did not dissapoint. Equally as good as Phantom for me. Cant decide one or the other. Lots of similaritys. Maybe at times to much of the same but enjoyable nontheless.
Lets get the best out of the way right of. Kajiura. The anime goddess. Never dissapoints. You watch an anime where she makes the music you are in for a treat. Second place would be the art and locations which i really enjoyed. They really nailed it with art ...

Ended up giving it a 7/10 after thinking it being worthy a 6/10 at best. It didnt really click with me. Nothing stood out for most part. Music wasnt anything special. The ED was very beautiful though ill say.
The story fell mostly flat for me. There was no depth to the overall plot. The world. The events. History behind. Nothing was explained and no effort taken. Same goes for the characters. Buso Renkin is as much of a 7/10 shounen you get. Very standard by the book shounen that never excells in any area. Not its music. Characters. Story. Fights etc. But in the end despite my doubts halfway in what to think its still decent enough and i do think the second half was its stronger point. Theres more story and plot going on and you get some more background stuff and worthy antagonist. Its a big late though and dont get fleshed out enough, could definetly have more work and more time for it rather than wasting to much of it on the worse
