I watched this show years ago and it was the first “real anime” I ever saw. It holds a special place in my heart and I decided to come back and write a review because of the DFO re-release.
Ill go ahead and say I gave the show a 8/10 based purely on just how much I enjoyed watching watching it. I wont sit here and defend the flaws that are very much present in this show.

Ok before i begin, if you have read other reviews that say this is just another "Visual novel to anime show", this info is wrong. True, there is a visual novel but the only thing the anime and game share in common is the name,the characters and story are completely different.
Now then, True Tears is a romance,school life,slice of life anime with some comedy but not alot. True tears follows Shin'ichiro(male lead) as he figures out his feelings about the female leads(sorry for the poor summary but i try not to SPOIL things, read the anime page summary for more details ...

Ok my review contains NO SPOILERS anything i type here u know by reading the summary or by the first episode
Ill start out by saying i enjoy my share of ecchi anime more than the normal person. Story 5/10 Even though the strory is Yamada is trying to find quote "100 Fuck buddies" and yes the story is unique but it was poorly executed in my opinion the story became somewhat boring at times it had me saying "yes i get it u want 100 sex partners now move on" yes it was funny but the story is repetitive and plain after the first few ...

Im still new to this writing reviews thing so im sorry in advance for and grammatical errors.
OK to start im a GUY and yes this is a shoujo anime. At first i was reluctant to start waching this series but im a sucker for romance animes so i started watching this anime with the intentions of it taking me while to finish it. I did it in 2 days the story 7/10 is pretty original with the slight similarities to other shoujo romance animes but over all the story kept me intrested eonough to want to watch it and not so much to watch it ... |
