This first special includes events up to 13. episode of Gundam Seed Destiny.
It sums up the events quite well and many new scenes and several changes to old ones have been made.
Even though they did a fine job at squeezing 13 episodes into one movie i dont recommend watching this special instead of the real thing. For someone that didn't watch GDS it might be comfusing and you will miss a lot!
But i highly recommend this for those fans that want to refresh their memory of good times while watching GDS.
I give this movie special a 10 because i belong to that group
...
of people and i loved it!

Recipe for this one is simple: take 1 high school kid,add 1 mysterious girl and 1 huge robot. Now sprinkle it with some aliens and mix it well. When done just wrap it in some nice graphics and you're done!
This is not one of brightest moments of mecha genre but i saw worse too.
If you are a mecha fan running out of mecha to watch, than this might do.
If not, stop reading this and move on to something better!
Art: Only realy good thing about this series. Graphics are flawles,a mix of computer 3D stuff and normal 2D drawing. But the scenes of summoning Reideen and his weapons
...
repeat all the time and get boring.
Sound: OP is some boring balade,so is the finishing song. Music during the episodes is theatrical and not that bad.
Story: Nothing new and shocking. WARNING:You might get some flashbacks from Power Rangers while watching.
The whole thing starts when they find the bones of Junki Saiga's (main caracter) father in some pyramide shaped mountain. He visits the place and when inside the mountain he looks down some hole and experiences a vision of two giant robots fighting.
When he regains consciousness a huge robot falls into the scene and the bracelet from his fathers excavations transfers him on board of huge golden mecha from his dreams, called Reideen.
From now on he must fight huge alien robots while being obstructed by normal military and their inferior mechas...
This about sums it up as i see it. I hope it will be of some help to you :)

This is more recent and decent mecha series. For me it a 10! it may heve similarities with other mecha and sci-fi,but let's be honest>>all anime do.
The point here is how they put it all together to form a story worth of your time!
Sound: Metal riffs which might give off a starnge feeling at first but they give the series its caracter. I think its better than some balade that most anime have.
Graphics: Graphics are 2D+3D mix which i love with more recent anime. In one word: superb!
Story: The story is mature and for me it gives another perspective of human race and its behaviour.
...
Are genetically inhanced humans the right way to go...perhaps :)
Plot:A huge shiny 500 kilometer in diameter ring-shaped structure had appeared near the Earth.
Five years later, from Markanan space station, several female astronauts wanted to investigate its nature. It leads to a fight with rebels on the ring itself and it triggers a massive energy blast which destroys the space station and causes huge destruction on the earths surface, after that it disappears.
A group of women and men with best genes and skills sets out to investigate the threat in a spaceship called Bilkis.
Bilkis is a ship retro engineered from knowlage humans got from ancient enhabitants of our galaksy:the giants. The ship has a colosal mecha attached on its underbelly whitch can be deployed. Its called the Shaft.
Shaft is powerfull enough to take out the rings but has unfinished OS and has bugs all the time.
Shaft is attracting the attention of mesterious rings and the force that controles them named Oberus. The race is on to find Oberus and destroy it before it destroys them.
The series is short. I wish it would have a few extra episodes to make the story more precise. But despite all unperfections this series grew on me quickly and its now on 5. place of my fav anime!

I'm a mecha fan and this is my favourite series!
It's directed by Toshimasa Suzuki. And he did a perfect job!
This series has it all..nice graphics, romance, huge battleships, mecha ,monsters, psychic powers...too much of cool stuff to go on! See for your self,if you dont belive me!
The story's theme is based on stories in Greek mythology, especially those surrounding Heracles, upon whom the main character is based, and his Twelve Labors. Story line never gets sluggish. How could it get, because theres a lot to be told in only 26 episodes! Intro song is done by Angela, and its superb for this series. I love it!
Long time after an advanced race, the
...
Golden Tribe, left to explore other universes, the human race, known as the Iron Tribe, became threatened with extinction.
Since the Golden Tribe left, the Silver Tribe has long been the most dominant race, calling themselves the Golden Tribe's successors. The young princess of the Iron Tribe, Dianeira, searches for the one mentioned in her family's history; the messianic individual that holds the power to save her people.
This person she looks for is the only human to have been raised by the Golden Tribe before they departed from the universe. After her ship and crew reaches the ruined planet, Oron, which holds the one she is looking for, they are attacked by the Bronze Tribe. However, right before the attack, they come in contact with a young boy named "Age", who may hold the secrets to their salvation.
This show deserves more attention, specialy from mecha&sci-fi fans and romantic idealists :)

Linebarrels of Iron is an ongoing Japanese manga series created by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi.
The series has graphics as seen in Maross frontier, combo of 2D and 3D which i love. Intro song "Kitei no Tsurugi" is done by by the Japanese band Ali Project. I'm a huge fan of this series! Story is mature and a bit naughty. If you like mecha this is a must see!!!!!!!!
Plot:
The Linebarrels of Iron story takes place in a fictional alternate future, centering around a junior-high school student named Kouichi Hayase, who escaped his daily life of being bullied as a child by daydreaming about being a
...
hero. His life was forever changed during a class trip in the year 2016 when an artificial satellite fell from orbit. Due to this "accident", Kouichi was left in a coma for half a year, and upon awakening, found himself with strange powers, including superhuman strength. Then, in 2019, a mysterious robot called "Linebarrel" appears before him. It is revealed that the accident from three years ago was not caused by a satellite, but rather by the Machina robot Linebarrel, and that this turned him into a "Factor", which is the name given to Machina pilots. This leads him to encounter Emi Kizaki, a mysterious amnesiac girl whose unknown past seems to be related to Linebarrel. He joins her in fighting for JUDA, the world's largest medical equipment maker, which happens to secretly own several other Machina robots.

Mobile Suit Victory Gundam is an anime television program set in the fictional universe of the Gundam franchise's Universal Century timeline. It consists of 51 episodes, and was directed by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki.
Victory Gundam is set in UC 0153, and succeeds the Federation and Crossbone Vanguard conflict of Gundam F-91. Therefore, it takes place well after the events of the Earth Federation versus Principality of Zeon conflict (which could be said to have ended with Char's Counterattack).
The greatly weakened Earth Federation comes under attack by the BESPA forces of the spaceborn Zanscare Empire; only the AEUG-like League Militaire stands in their way. The mass-produced Victory

Gundam is the League Militaire's secret weapon against the invading BESPA.
I watched most of the gundam series there are and i must say its not high up my list. And im a kind of guy that likes nice graphics and this series is a bit older,so its not very good in this aspect too. I watched it because i ran out of Gundams to watch. I sugest watching it if you are in same situation..gundam lover running out of gundams to see.

The science fiction series is an homage to the Super Robot shows of the 1970s and 1980s, executed with modern animation techniques and aesthetics.
Set in the future, a giant fighting machine called Aquarion is humanity's only weapon in the fight against the technologically advanced species called the Shadow Angels.
I watch mostly mecha anime and this is good but not top of the line. Graphics are good 2D+3D but the story is not one of best i have seen forom mecha. I recommend this if you run out of Macross Frontier,Gundam,Herioc Age and other top mecha series.
plot more detailed:
Eleven years before the start of
...
the series, a disaster only referred to as the "Great Catastrophe" destroyed significant parts of the world and killed off many of its inhabitants. Along with the disaster came the appearance of the Shadow Angels, winged-beings who have been in slumber for twelve thousand years in their city of Atlandia. The Shadow Angels harvest humans on Earth, dubbed the "wingless ones", like cattle, extracting their prana (life force) from them, serving as energy and nutrition to the Shadow Angels, but also to feed the legendary Tree of Life. The Shadow Angels facilitate their harvesting via giant, floating harvesting machines guarded by giant golem-like creatures called Cherubim Soldiers. How these are normally piloted is unknown, yet there are times when they are piloted by Shadow Angels.
Ordinary weapons prove ineffective against the Cherubim, but a human expedition under the leadership of Gen Fudou eventually excavates three very technologically advanced fighter planes. Gen Fudou disappears, but an organization called Deava takes over the research of these machines, called Vectors, trying to find out how to use them. The three Vectors are the Vector Luna, the Vector Mars and the Vector Sol. Deava discovers only people who are Element users can control the Vectors and, ultimately, unite the three to form the giant fighting machine Aquarion.
During the first sortie to fight a Cherubim, Deava encounters 15 year-old Apollo, who seems to be the reincarnation of the hero Apollonius, also known as the "Solar Wing", who betrayed his Shadow Angel bretheren for his love of the human warrior Celiane.
